BAB I PENDAHULUAN
1.1
Latar Belakang
Perkembangan dunia bisnis beberapa tahun ini sanngatlah cepat dan membuat pihak-pihak yang terlibat didalamnya harus bekerja keras agar keberadaanya tetap diakui oleh pelanggan mereka. Jika dahulu pelanggan membutuhkan sesuatu untuk pemutih gigi, mereka akan dapat dengan cepat mendapatkannya. Hal ini terjadi karena pasta gigi yang ada ditujukan untuk semua orang (semua segmen pasar). Saat ini jika kita membutuhkan pasta gigi, akan terdapat banyak pilihan yang ditawarkan ada pepsodent, close up, ciptadent dan lain-lain. Dan ini akan membuat kesulitan tersendiri bagi pelanggan untuk memilih. Semakin beragamnya jenis dan macam pasta gigi (dan produk lainnya) menggambarkan semakin ketatnya persaingan dalam dunia bisnis. Bervariasinya merk dan jenis produk menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan tidak dapat hanya berdiam diri dalam melakukan bisnisnya. Mereka harus mulai berpikir dan mengalahkan (kalau perlu membunuh) para pesaingnya. Hanya perusahaan yang betul-betul kuat yang akan memenangkan persaingan. Dalam usahanya menuju perusahaan yang kuat, para pengambilan keputusan (Chief Executif Officer) didalam perusahaan diwajibkan untuk merubah cara berfikir hanya untuk mencari keuntungan semata, saat ini mereka harus berfikir secara strategik karena seperti dikatakan oleh jendral Karl von Clausewitz pada tahun 1831 dalam bukunya “On War”, bahwa bisnis adala h sebuah peperangan. Berfikir strategik juga sangat diperlukan untuk mengatasi masalah-masalah strategik yang timbul seiring dengan berkembangnya perusahaan/organisasi. Karakteristik dari masalah strategik di antaranya; berorientasi pada masa depan, biasanya berhubungan dengan unit bisnis yang sangat komplek, memerlukan perhatian dari manajemen puncak, akan mempengaruhi kemakmuran jangka panjang dari perusahaan, melibatkan pengalokasian sejumlah besar sumbersumber daya perusahaan.

Pendahuluan
Dalam setiap membangun sebuah bisnis, banyak faktor penentu yang menjadi penggerak perubahan dan hal seperti ini perlu diketahui oleh wirausahawan yang cerdas yakni: 1.
Perubahan yang didorong oleh faktor ekonomi
a. Tingkat pendapatan (pendaatan perkapita) b. Pertumbuhan penduduk c. Perubahan kurs mata uang terhadap mata uang asing d. Krisis ekonomi dan moneter e. Perubahan kebijakan pemerintah, dan lain-lain Semua perubahan ekonomi terjadi harus diamati dan diantisipasi agar bisnis yang baru dimulai tidak menjadi gagal dan dan jatuh. 2.
Perubahan yang didorong oleh faktor pasar
a. Perubahan pola persaingan. b. Perubahan hidup dan gaya perilaku pelanggan termasuk tren kebutuhan pelanggan. c. Perubahan terjadi karena pesaing melakukan inovasi dan penemuan produk baru yang mengubah pola dasar. d. Muncul pesaing baru dan jaringan yang kuat dan terkenal sehingga mengubah peta persaingan dipasar dari persaingan biasa hingga sangat pesat.

Perubahan yang digerakkan oleh faktor perkembangan teknologi
Sebagai contoh adalah telepon. Dulu telepon tidak mempunyai pesaing, lalu mulai berkembang dengan munculnya pager, mobile phone dan phone dan kemudian handphone GSM yang lebih berwarna, berkamera, bervidio, dan t erdapat musik didalamnya. Jadi, wirausahawan sekarang harus benar-benar mengamati perubahan teknologi yang dapat memngarhi pasar dan perusahaan. 4.
Perubahan yang diperngaruhi oleh iklim dan cuaca
Musim penghujan dan kemarau bisa diprediksi waktunya, yaitu bulan April-Oktober untuk musim kemarau dan November-Maret untuk musim penghujan. Namun, sekarang musim sudah tidak bisa diprediksi lagi akibat adanya global adanya global warming sehingga sehingga segalanya sulit diprediksi lagi. Pengaruh Perubahan terhadap Strategi Menjalankan Bisnis
Perubahan yang terjadi selama proses berjalanannya sebuah bisnis harus selalu diperhatikan untuk memastikan pengaruhnya terhadap peta bisnis yang telah direncanakan. Kegagalan yang mungkin terjadi ketika wirausahawan sedang memulai bisnisnya: a. Tidak mengenal atau menyadari perubahan yang terjadi, b. Mengetahui ada dampak dari perubahan tetapi tidak mau, lupa atau tidak tahu cara untuk mengubah strategi sehingga dampak yang ditimbulkan sudah begitu besar dan tidak dapat ditangani dengan baik, c. Terlalu fokus pada proses menjalankan bisnis saja dan selalu mengabaikan perubahan dan dampak yang akan ditimbulkan. Untuk itu, seorang wirausahawan yang smart harus memperhatikan dampak dari perubahan yang terjadi dan mungkin akan terjadi terhadap kelangsungan bisnisnya. Sehingga sangat diperlukan perubahan sebuah strategi yang telah direncakan atau diterapkan sebelumnya untuk disesuaikan dengan pesaing, keadaan pesaing, permintaan, perilaku pembelian, dll. Dengan adanya CAFTA, maka terjadi perubahan adanya perdagangan bebas antara China dan ASEAN dan dapat menjadi ancaman bagi industri UKM, atau perusahaan di Indonesia karena produk dari China jauh lebih murah daripada produk perusahaan Indonesia, Eropa, Jepang, dan Korea. Jadi, perusahaan-perusahaan Indonesia harus mengubah strategi secepatnya. Strategi yang perlu digunakan adalah dengan market innovation and improvement strategy. 3.
Perubahan akan menyebabkan kejadian yang memperlemah daya saing dan kondisi perusahaan ( weak )
Ada beberapa perubahan yang dapat melemahkan posisi persaingan perusahaan. Contohnya: a. Peraturan baru tentang pengurangan kadar nikotin bagi industri rokok. b. Mengharuskan perusahaan mempunyai kendaraan yang tercatat atas nama perusahaan minimal satu unit atau uji emisi bagi kendaraan yang tidak produktif lagi. c. Pengurangan kadar pengeras tau untuk produk tahu Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan perubahan strategi.
