Goat’s Milk Soap

Goats are the animals sacred to the goddess Aphrodite and Isis, being goddesses of love and beauty. This soap will soften and moisturize skin, and, if you wish, you can c an create an invocation to either Goddess to bless the soap. Materials: 2 pounds of goat’s milk Melt and pout soap base Microwave safe measuring cup Rubber spatula 1. Cut the soap into uniform chunks and melt it in the measuring cup. This will ensure even melting 2. Cover the measuring cup in plastic wrap and heat the soap in the microwave in 30second increments. Stir the soap lightly with the spatula. Do not let the soap simmer or boil 3. Add ¼ oz. of lavender oil to the soap base. Stir the soap lightly to blend the fragrance. Spray the surface with alcohol if bubbles form. 4. Add the lavender or purple soap dye until you reach the desired shade. Gently stir the soap and spray alcohol on any bubbles. 5. Pour the soap into the mold and spray any bubbles with alcohol. Put the soap mold into the refrigerator for at least one hour, or until soap fully sets 6. Remove bars from the mold. Trim any rough edges with the [paring knife or wipe the edges witch a damp cloth 7. Wrap the finished bars in wax paper.
