Ontologis : Landasan penelitian mengenai suatu objek yang ditelaah, tiap ilmu harus punya objek telaah yg jelas Epistimologis : cara yg digunakan untuk mengkaji atau menelaah sehingga diperoleh ilmu atau pengetahuan. 7) Penelitian eksperimental; penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menyelidiki sebab akibat tertentu dengan memberikan perlakuan tertentu atau kondisi yang berbeda. Untuk lebih jelasnya akan kita uraikan pada pembahasan yang akan datang; Dari jenis-jenis penelitian diatas lebih bersifat umum atau pertinjauan dari jenis penelitian secara mendalam dan skarang kita siap membagi beberapa penelitian berdasarkan beberapa pertimbangan atau kualifikasi tertentu; Macam macam penelitian sebagai berikut; 1) Secara paradigmatik dikenal ada 3 (tiga) macam paradigma penelitian: a. Positivistik; fokusnya mencari hubungan antar-variabel --- Madhab Comtean (August Compte). Akar penelitian kuantitatif. b. Interpretif (fokusnya pada makna suatu tindakan) tindakan) --- madhab Weberian. Akar penelitian kualitatif. c. Kritik (fokusnya pada wacana. Untuk dapat melalui proses penelitian yang baikdan hasil yang baik pula, peneliti harus memiliki sifat-sifat berikut ini. 1) Mampu Membedakan Fakta dan Opini Fakta adalah suatu kenyataan yang disertai bukti-bukti ilmiah dandapat dipertanggungjawabkan kebenarannya, sedangkan opini adalahpendapat pribadi dari seseorang yang tidak dapat dibuktikankebenarannya sehingga di dalam melakukan studi kepustakaan, seorangpeneliti hendaknya mampu membedakan antara fakta dan opini agarhasil penelitiannya tepat dan akurat serta dapat dipertanggungjawabkankebenarannya. 2) Berani dan Santun dalam Mengajukan Pertanyaan dan Argumentasi Peneliti yang baik selalu mengedepankan sifat rendah hati ketikaberada dalam satu ruang dengan orang lain. Begitu juga pada saatbertanya, berargumentasi, atau mempertahankan hasil penelitiannya akansenantiasa menjunjung tinggi sopan santun dan menghindari perdebatansecara emosi. Kepala tetap dingin, tetapi tetap berani mempertahankankebenaran yang diyakininya karena yakin bahwa pendapatnya sudahdilengk sudahdilengkapi api dengan fakta yang jelas sumbernya. 3) Mengembangkan Keingintahuan Peneliti yang baik senantiasa haus menuntut ilmu, ia selalu berusahamemperluas pengetahuan dan wawasannya, tidak ingin ketinggalaninformasi di segala bidang, dan selalu berusaha mengikuti perkembanganilmu pengetahuan yang semakin hari

Pendapat seorang peneliti yang baik selalu bersifat ilmiah dan tidakmengada-ada tanpa bukti yang dapat dipertanggungjawabkan kebenarannya. Di samping itu, peneliti juga harus kritis terhadap permasalahan yang terjadi dan berkembang di sekitarnya. 6) Berani Mengusulkan Perbaikan atas Suatu Kondisi dan Bertanggung Jawab terhadap Usulannya Peneliti yang baik senantiasa berani dan bertanggung jawabterhadap konsekuensi yang harus dihadapinya jika sudah mengusulkansesuatu. Usulan tersebut selalu diembannya dengan baik dandilaksanakan semaksimal mungkin, kemudian diwujudkannya dalambentuk nyata sehingga hasilnya dapat dinikmati oleh orang lain. 7) Bekerja Sama Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, peneliti yang baik mampu bekerjasama dengan orang lain dan tidak individualis atau mementingkan dirisendiri.
