BAB I PENDAHULUAN 1.1 Pengertian Korelasi
Korelasi merupakan teknik analisis yang yang termasuk dalam salah satu teknik pengukuran asosiasi / hubungan (measures of association). Pengukuran asosiasi merupakan istilah umum yang yang mengacu pada sekelompok teknik dalam statistik bivariat yang digunakan untuk mengukur kekuatan hubungan antara dua variabel. Diantara sekian banyak teknik-teknik pengukuran asosiasi, terdapat dua teknik korelasi yang sangat populer sampai sekarang, yaitu Korelasi Pearson Product Moment dan Korelasi Rank Spearman. Selain kedua teknik tersebut,
terdapat pula teknik-teknik korelasi lain, seperti Kendal, Chi-Square, Phi Coefficient, Goodman-Kruskal, Somer, dan Wilson.
Pengukuran asosiasi mengenakan nilai numerik untuk mengetahui tingkatan asosiasi atau kekuatan hubungan antara variabel. Dua variabel dikatakan berasosiasi jika perilaku variabel yang satu mempengaruhi variabel yang lain. la in. Jika tidak terjadi pengaruh, maka kedua variabel tersebut disebut independen. Korelasi bermanfaat untuk mengukur kekuatan hubungan antara dua variabel

Dalam contoh hubungan antara variabel remunerasi dengan kepuasan kerja, maka variabel remunerasi merupakan variabel X dan kepuasan kerja merupakan variabel Y. 1.2 Pengertian Regresi
Regresi adalah suatu metode analisis statistik yang digunakan untuk
melihat pengaruh antara dua atau lebih variabel. Hubungan variabel tersebut bersifat fungsional yang diwujudkan d iwujudkan dalam suatu model matematis. Permasalahan Permasalahan Kemiskinan Di Provinsi Jawa Timur
Bangsa Indonesia perlu mewaspadai kondisi kemiskinan yang terjadi saat ini. Laporan terbaru Badan Pusat Statistik yang berdasarkan pada hasil survei sosial ekonomi nasional pada September 2013 menyebutkan bahwa jumlah penduduk miskin di Jawa Timur mencapai angka 4,86 juta. Sebanyak 1,62 juta dari angka itu merupakan penduduk miskin perkotaan dan sisanya penduduk di pedesaan. Secara kualitas kuali tas dan kuantitas kemiskinan justru cenderung semakin kronis.

September 2013 meningkat. Peningkatan terbesar terjadi di pulau Jawa, kemudian Sumatera, Selawesi, Bali, Nusa Tenggara, Papua serta Kalimantan. Jumlah penduduk miskin di Indonesia pada September 2013 sebesar 28.55 juta orang atau 11.47 persen, jika dibandingkan dengan bulan Maret 2013 meningkat 480 ribu orang. Gubernur provinsi Jawa Timur ingin mengatasi tingkat kemiskinan yang ada di provinsinya, agar provinsi tersebut siap menghadapi persaingan global dalam ASEAN Economic Community pada tahun 2015. Data mengenai kondisi masyarakat pada provinsi Jawa Timur dapat dilihat pada Tabel 2.1 Berdasarkan tabel tersebut, Gubernur provinsi Jawa Timur ingin mendapatkan informasiinformasi berikut. 1.

BAB IV PENUTUP 4.1 Kesimpulan
