Resource Person/ Guest Speaker:
Architect Cynthia Cresencio is an OFW based in Singapore. She is an Architectural Engineer and a Technical Designer in a male-dominated industry of building and construction. Her profile includes working with Horsburg Engineering, Hyundai Engineering & Construction and the SCK Construction. She is also an active member of United Architects of the Philippines Singapore Chapter and on outreach programs both in Singapore and in the Philippines.
The radio show is not limited to interview prominent actresses, politicians or someone who works in the government or NGO’s. For this episode, Ms. Cresencio was invited for the maiden broadcast because she is a simple and regular person that excels in one of the male-dominated industries, an expert in the field of architecture, building and construction. In the survey conducted by The American Institute of Architects in May 2011, only 15% are licensed female architects around the world where 5% of it are identified as Asian. Ms. Crescensio is one of those exceptional women who believe that Architecture is not only a man’s game. Her first-hand experience and on how she handled issues on gender inequality such as salary gap & discrimination makes her an empowered woman and a credible guest speaker that can inspire both men and women. Her presence makes the interview simple, light and inspiring.

This is important to know more if the radio program will be able to attract attention of the audience, able to bring clear message, if the materials are relevant and would make the target audience feel involved in the issue. And of course, knowing what combination of presenters, guest speakers and formats works best is also crucial.
