A partir de esta definición, cabría admitir que una misma necesidad puede ser, de un modo u otro, en mayor o menor grado, satisfecha por diferentes productos (o por diferentes marcas de un mismo producto), y por ello, tales productos y marcas compiten entre sí. No cabe duda de que a todo el mundo le gusta que le traten según su propia manera de ser. Y también es indudable que el carácter y el temperamento de las personas difieren mucho entre sí. Cada cliente, consciente o inconscientemente, establece un nivel de trato personal y comercial al que espera se adhiera el vendedor. Así pues, para el vendedor es imprescindible identificar el tipo de cliente con el que se enfrenta. Para conseguirlo, dispone de dos armas: 1. Las tipología gías de clientes, como instrumentos que ayudan a proporcionar información al vendedor a la hora de materializar la venta.
