1. Purpose This method of statement covers the on-site installation of landscape and street Light Fittings as defined in the General Specification. 2. Scope of Work This procedure will define the method to be used to ensure that the landscape and street light fittings are installed correctly and acceptable and shall conform to the Contract Documents and Specification .

4. Storage
4.1 landscape and street Light Fittings shall be stored on clean, dry and ventilated location. 4.2 landscape and street Light Fittings accessories such as lamp shall be properly stacked and keep on a clean, dry and ventilated location. 4.3 Make sure that every type of light fitting and lamp shall be stacked on one location.
5. Pre-Installation
5.1 All materials and documentation relevant to this particular section of works shall be checked and verified ensuring that these are correct and approved type. 5.2 All building wiring related works shall be complete, tested and sign-off by the Consultant. 5.3 Areas where in to start permanent works shall be checked ensuring that they are ready for the said installation. 5.4 Make sure that hand holes, cable underground ducts are completed. 5.5 Make sure that the concrete bases are completed and their dimensions are suitable to each light fitting type.

6. Installation 6.1 Street Lighting poles 6.2 It has been presumed that all works and finishes related to Street Lighting poles Installation are completed and ready for installation of permanent works. 6.2.1 Raise the street lighting poles by crane and put it on its concrete base and make the rods in the concrete base entering the holes in the pole’s base. 6.2.2
Ensure that poles are fixed squarely and properly aligned. Make sure that manufacturer’s recommendation for street lighting poles installation shall be adhered.
6.2.3 Terminate power cables to the isolator/circuit breaker inside the pole hole. Ensure that they are terminated properly. Street lighting pole shall be earthed. 6.2.4 Fix lamps housing on the poles. Check the type and colors of the lamps and make sure that they are correct and approved type. 6.2.5 Fix the light fixture reflectors and diffusers. Ensure that they are aligned and properly fixed. 6.2.6 Temporary power connection shall be made to check the proper operation of light fittings. 6.2.7 Raise Request for Inspection of light fittings installation.
6.3 Flood Light Fittings It has been assumed that all works related to flood light installation ahs been completed. Building wires has been tested and signed-off by the Consultant. 6.4.1 Fix flood light mounting brackets. Ensure that they are fixed rigidly and properly. 6.4.2 Fix the flood light on the brackets. Connect power cables on the fittings and ensure that the body of the flood lights is properly earthed. 6.4.3 Fix lamps on the fixtures. Ensure that the lamps are correct and approved type. 6.4.4 Connect temporary power supply to check the proper operation of the flood lights. 6.4.5 Raise Request for Inspection of light fittings installation.
6.4 Indirect Light Fittings

It has been presumed that all finishes related to the installation of indirect lightings were completed and all wiring installation and testing has been completed. 6.5.1 Install mounting holder / bracket of indirect lights to their designated location. Make sure that it is fixed rigidly. 6.5.2 Install indirect light fittings on the bracket / holder. 6.5.3 Connect power cables to the light fittings. Ensure that all connections are correct and the fittings shall be earthed. 6.5.4 Fix lamps on the light fittings. Make sure that the type and color of the lamp are correct and approved type. 6.5.5 Connect temporary power supply to the light fittings to check for proper operation. 6.5.6 Raise Request for Inspection of indirect light installation.

8. Safety 8.1
All safety precautions shall be followed as per approved safety plan & procedure. Ensure all involved persons are aware of the same.
8.2
Safety Officer shall ensure that all elevated flat forms to be used are safe and in good conditions.
8.3
