VII. Teaching Activities I.

Pre Activities - The teacher greets the students E.g Good Morning students, how are you? - The teacher checks the students’ attendance E.g. who is absent today? Is there any letter or information about him/her? - The teacher checks the cleanliness of the class and make sure about the condition of the classroom. - The teacher reminds the students about the topic in the previous day by asking some questions E.g. Students, do you still remember about the topic in the previous meeting?

II. Whilst Activities a)

Exploration - The teacher explains about purpose, types and

structure of Hortatory

exposition - The teacher Build the students’ knowledge about the topic by giving some question related to the topic - The Teacher reads example of hortatory exposition text and give some direct question to the student base on the text and the students answer the question directly.  b)

Elaboration - The teacher asks the students to form a group, teacher divides students into groups. Each of group are consist of 6 people -

The teacher distributes worksheet and reading material to each group entitled “Complain about Ads in TV

- The teacher asks the students to pay attention to the teacher and the teacher gives direct instruction about what each group should do with the worksheet. - The teacher Gives time to the group to discuss and read the story and then write the summary of the text, arguments, suggestion and answer the question on the worksheet - The teacher discusses the group’ work and ask each group to read their worksheet and asks other group to give comments about what they have written on the worksheet.

Confirmation - The teacher checks the students understanding by discussing the difficulty of reading the text - The teacher gives feedback to the students about the material that they have discussed.
