U.6.: Los sustantivos incontables no tienen plural. Milk, chese, coffee, rice,... Los contables si. Egg.Eggs/Potato.Potatoes. Se usa a/an con el singular de los sustantivos contables. We need an egg. Se usa some con el plural de los contables e incotables. Some beer/Some potatoes. Para expresar carencia se puede usar: We haven’t goy any sugar / We have got no sugar. MODULO 3 U.1: Look + adjetivo: Sirve para indicar el aspecto físico de alguien. El artículo indeterminado se usa para las enfermedades más corrientes. I’ve got a cold/a headache/a backache. U,2: Cuando te ofreces a prestar: Borrow – Do you want to borrow my car.? Si quieres que te presten, puedes usar Borrow o Lend – Can I borrow £5.? / Can you lend me £5.? Con la diferencia que borrow, es tomar prestado (YO) y lend es pedir. To borrow: Pedir prestado To lend: Prestar No se usa el artículo determinado con el pronombre posesivo. This book is mine. Otra forma de indicar posesión: ‘s It’s Jeff’s / It’s Alice’s. / That painting’s mine. Sugerencias: Shall we + infinitivo sin to. Expresar admiración: Construcción: How + Adjetivo (Interesting, Boring, ...) What + Adjetivo + Sustantivo. No se usa el artículo en plural o con sustantivos incontables. Whose De quién... Who Quién U.3 Maneras de formular sugerencias: Let’s... – Shall we ... – What about ...?


Para expresar lo que se desea: I’d like to... / I’d love to... Para expresar lo que gusta: I like/love + sustantivo. I like football. Shall para interrogativas con I/WE : Ofrecimiento U.4 Love y Hate se usan para indicar si nos gusta o disgusta algo. Se usan para manifestar una opinión espontanea o vehemente. Para preguntar se usa Like. En frases negativas también se usa Like. Comparativos/Superlativos irregulares: Good – Better – The best Bad – Worse – The worst At: Festivos, Navidad, Semana Santa y expresiones de tiempo Easter – Christmas – 5 o’clock – the weekend In: Periodos más largos (meses, estaciones, años,) – September – the spring – autum 1994 On: Días de la semana. Se usa para preguntar se ha sucedido algo inesperado, o para decir que no ha sucedido algo que se esperaba. Con el pretérito perfecto se coloca al final de la frase y sólo se usa en formasnegativas e interrogativas. U.7 Para preguntar si algo ya se ha hecho se emplea YET con la forma interrogativa del pretérito perfecto y se pone al final. Para responder afirmativamente se usa la forma del pretérito perfecto + ALREADY Entre el verbo auxiliar y el principal. I’ve already checked ... Con los verbos turn y go ; left y right se dicen sin el artículo. Go right at the bank.
