5. The Black Death was one of the deadliest pandemics in human history, peaking in Europe b etween 1348 and 1350. Usually thought to have started in Central Asia, it had reached the Crimea by 1346. -----. Subsequently, it spread throughout the Mediterranean and Europe and it is estimated to have kil led 30% to 60% of Europe's population, reducing the world's population from an esti mated 450 mill ion t o between 350 and 375 millio n in 1400. This h as been seen as creating a s eries of religious, soci al and economic upheavals which had profound effects on the cours e of European history. It took 150 years for Europe's population to recover. The plague returned at various times, resulting in a larger number of deaths, until it left Europe in the 19th century.

Ac co rdin g to an anal ys is , 1 in 8 Am eri can s i n the last 5 years has been affected by Internet identity theft. Internet identity theft is d ifferent from common id entity theft in a few ways. Common identity theft takes place after something is physic ally stolen from you like a wallet containing credit cards and a driver’s license or an un-shredded credit card statement from your garbage bin. The thief would take this information and use it to make a false purchase without any limit any being recognized by cameras or shop assistants. -----
A) Thus, internet identity theft can be much worse than theft in its common form. B) The rise of identity theft in the US has alarmed the congress, which is expected to introduce harsh measures for commercial web sites. C) More than three-thirds of every person using internet today makes use of internet purchases every day. D) Despite reliability issues, there rate of internet use is in significant increase over the past two decades. E) International organizations are keen to prevent security threats through internet so that online marketing will not be adversely affected.
E) Some historians have suggested another theory for the cause of the Black Death, one that points to social, agricultural and economic causes.
