Provisions: 1. Players shall allow a reload from last save if a miss-click (or similar play error) occurs while holding a child. 2. Players may allow a “bad start” re-roll if any of the following conditions apply: the capital’s location is not acceptable; if the city center ’s six surrounding tiles have a total production value below 7. a) b) the first settler fails to establish a capital in an acceptable location (as defined in Provision 2, section a) on the first turn, c) both players start on the same continent (as indicated in the ‘continent ’ lens), d) the location of either capital is discovered to be on the same landmass before the start of the Classical era (1000 BC, turn 76), or e) either player is randomly assigned Mvemba a Nzinga (Kongo). 3. Players may mutually agree to re-roll before the start of the Medieval era (500 AD, turn 136), for any reason, without either player conceding defeat. a) On or after turn 136, either player may concede defeat to request a re-roll; otherwise, victory will be determined by total points on turn 500. 4. Players agree to honor the terms (protocols, provisions, articles, and penalties) outlined in the latest revision of this treaty as soon as it is ratified. a) Any mutually-approved revisions, which results in an official update of this treaty, will be highlighted or crossed-out for clarity. b) Any proposed alterations to this treaty will be notated in red ink for clarity; any changes pending mutual approval shall not be enforced. c) A copy of the latest revision of this treaty shall be located near the play area during gameplay for reference or revising. d) Participation implies consent: no player’s signature, initial, or mark is required to acknowledge or enforce any terms of this treaty. Fair Play Players will make an honest effort to avoid observing the play area during another player’s turn, and avoid causing any game delays while taking t heir turn. a) As soon as their turn is finished, players should vacate the seat in the play area and ask the other player to start their turn no more than once. b) Players should not pester the other player to start or finish their turn, and should not hover near the play area during the other player’s turn. c) After notifying the other player to start their turn, the waiting player may resume occupation of the seat in the play area until asked to vacate. Anti-Encroachment Players may not use a Settler to establish any new cities ( AKA “forward-settling ”) within the following distances of another player’s cities : a) From an original capital: no less than fifteen tiles between each city ’s center, or ten tiles between the capital ’s border to the new city’s center . b) From any other city: no less than ten tiles between each city’s center, or seven tiles between that city ’s border to the new city’s center. No penalty shall apply if a player’s city borders are extended by border growth or by purchasing tiles on any turn after city settlement. c) d) Distance restrictions outlined above do not apply to any non-player city (any AI’s city or city -state) or between any captured city and any player’s city . Pro-Preservation There are no restrictions for capturing cities, however player cities may not be razed. a) Captured city-states immediately inherit “player city” status if kept, and may not be razed from that point forward (even if liberated or rebelling). b) Any city-states on another player’s capital landmass may be captured, but may not be razed (players must ask for confirmation prior to razing). Restricted Espionage Spies are prohibited from performing the following actions (which will be subject to the harshest penalties defined in Article 8, section c): steal great work, foment unrest, sabotage, neutralize governor. Non-Nuclear Agreement Players may not detonate “Nuclear Device” or “Thermonuclear Device” to destroy another player’s city center or any tile within another player’s borders . a) The possession of any units that require Uranium or are capable of deploying nuclear devices are restricted until the Atomic era 1942 AD (turn 363): Modern Armor, Nuclear Submarine, Missile Silo, Bomber, Jet Bomber. Unrestricted* Unrestricted* Warmongering War declarations are allowed at any time, for any reason, with or without denouncement or or casus belli , without penalty outside of the game. a) Boasting, taunting, and smack talk among players is allowed without penalty, but not encouraged. b) Whining and/or complaining about the current war is limited to an expressed vocalization of annoyance. c) Although “Domination ” victory is disabled, players should be aware that an elimination loss may result if all cities are captured (see Article 2). *Some restrictions apply: razing player cities (Article 3), nuclear detonations (Article 5) and use of Atomic era units (Article 5, section a) may be penalized. Great People Points A player may not pass on purchasing great people from the same category more than twice, and should announce whenever they pass on a great person. Penalties a) There shall be no penalty greater than an expressed vocalization of annoyance for: any permissible in-game action that is not specifically prohibited by an article outlined within this treaty (ex: rushing Gunpowder tech), or any action outside the scope of this treaty (ex: name calling, accusations of cheating). b) Penalty for violation of Article 2: the newly established city will be given to the other player via trade, unless two full turns have passed since settling. c) Unless otherwise stated, any violation of an article outlined in this treaty may result in: a reload from a previous save to revert the violation, if possible, a forfeit of the current game, resulting in re-roll, or me” ). relationship sanctions (ex: “I’m mad at you, don’ t talk to me” ).

Landmass – Landmass – An unbroken cluster of land tiles, surrounded on all sides by water tiles, which contains one or more continents. Capital Landmass – Landmass – The landmass where a player’s original capital city was settled. Player City – City – Any city created by or currently/formerly under the direct control of a player ’s country, including settled and captured cities.
