Vorbemerkung Die Richtlinie VDI 2055 erscheint in drei Blättern, die sich an die jeweiligen Zielgruppen Anwender, Planer, Dämmstoffhersteller sowie Prüf- unda Überwachungsinstitutionen richten.
Introduction The guideline VDI 2055 is issued in three parts, addressing the respective clients’ technical engineers, insulation material manufacturers, testing and certification institutions and insulation contractors.
Das Blatt 1 enthält die Beziehungen zur Auslegung von Wärme- und Kältedämmungen. Neu aufgenommen im Vergleich zur VDI 2055:1994-07 wurden Berechnungen aus dem Bereich der haustechnischen Anlagen.
Part 1 contains the calculation rules for the design of thermal and cold insulations. The calculations covering the area of building equipment have been newly added (cf. VDI 2055:1994-07).

Die bisher vorliegende VDI 2055 wurde überarbeitetet und auch hinsichtlich der Formelzeichen weitgehend an die europäische Normung angeglichen. Nachfolgende Tabelle stellt die wichtigsten Bezeichnungen der neuen VDI 2055 den Entsprechungen des europäischen Normenwerks gegenüber.
The VDI 2055 has been revised and also adjusted to the European standardisation regarding the symbols used in formulae. The table below shows the most important terms of the new VDI 2055 against their equivalents in the European standards.
