PERATURAN MAKMAL / BENGKEL *********************************
1.
KEHADIRAN a) Pelajar dikehendaki berada di makmal/ bengkel sebelum waktu bermula yang ditetapkan untuk urusan merekodkan kedatangan dan membaca arahan makmal/ bengkel. b) Pelajar yang datang lewat dikehendaki meminta kebenaran dari pensyarah berkenaan sama ada boleh menjalankan ujikaji/ amali atau praktikal atau tidak, jika lewat 15 minit tanpa alasan yang munasabah, tidak akan dicatatkan kedatangannya c)
Pelajar dibenarkan meninggalkan makmal/ bengkel hanya setelah siap ujikaji/ amali atau praktikal, membersihkan peralatan dan menyusun semula kelengkapan makmal/ bengkel serta dengan kebenaran dari pensyarah bertugas
d) Pelajar yang bercuti pada hari ujikaji/ amali atau praktikal hendaklah menggantikan kerja makmalnya pada waktu lain dengan mengemukakan surat cuti kepada pensyarah berkenaan
2.
DISIPLIN DI MAKMAL/BENGKEL a) Pelajar hendaklah berpakaian yang sopan mengikut peraturan yang telah ditetapkan oleh politeknik, tidak dibenarkan memakai selipar dan tidak dibenarkan makan, minum dan merokok semasa menjalankan ujikaji/ amali atau praktikal (untuk praktikal di padang, pelajar digalakkan membawa makanan seperti roti, biskut serta air sendiri untuk memberikan tenaga tambahan) b) Sebarang kerosakan alat makmal/ bengkel, hendaklah dilaporkan segera kepada kakitangan yang bertugas c)
Pelajar tidak dibenarkan menyentuh peralatan yang tidak berkaitan dengan ujikaji/ amali atau praktikal yang dijalankan atau membawa keluar barangan kepunyaan makmal/ bengkel.
d) Pelajar perlu mendapatkan kebenaran untuk menggunakan peralatan di dalam makmal/bengkel
3.
LAPORAN MAKMAL a) Setiap pelajar hendaklah membaca arahan makmal/ bengkel, serta memahami teori-teori ujikaji/ amali atau praktikal sebelum masuk ke makmal/bengkel b) Laporan hendaklah dihantar dalam masa 7 hari dari tarikh ujikaji/ amali atau praktikal dijalankan c)
Penulisan laporan hendaklah mengikut format yang telah ditetapkan
d) Kelewatan menghantar laporan akan menyebabkan pemotongan markah sebayak 25 % bagi setiap hari kelewatan kecuali atas sebab-sebab tertentu dan mendapat persetujuan pensyarah e) Pelajar yang tidak menjalankan ujikaji, tidak akan diterima laporan makmalnya bagi tajuk ujikaji/ amali atau praktikal tersebut

Ground marking for building baseline 1. Find some space which is flat ground anywhere inside campus area (refer to Lecturer) 2. You are going to do this task with digital theodolite and 30 meter measurement tape. You also provided with ranging pole and arrows. 3. Locate baseline point S1 and then S2 so do S3 According to setting out plan given to you. Make sure you are using the finest bearing and distance. 4. Along the S1-S2 and S1-S3 baselines, there are several refer ences point that you have to knock for checking purpose. There are L1, L2, L3, L4 and L5. 5. Make sure all the offset pegs were firmly knock in and the inner angle of S1 should be 90°. 6. Begin to mark the building baseline points start from B1 and finish by B10 according to the point form given. Make sure you knock the peg firmly into its position and also to the length you measure with measuring tape must be exact to its direction. 7. When you done with all those pegs, bind your provided construction string towards your pegs start from offset pegs to another opposites pegs. You will reveal that pegs you knocked inside rest house will be in the lines along with the string. 8. Record errors and refine your error of there any.

Setting out using Auto Level (Drainage Depth and alignment Checking) 1. Determine the drain start and the end point. Put an arrow on to each point. (10 meter) 2. Measure the long section of the drain. Put a mark (peg) every 1 meter along a side of the drain (one side only) and take measure. 3. Setup auto level instrument on the ground near to the marked point. Make sure all point reading can be reach with staff. 4. Begin to take staff reading at the invert, ground and peg heights for every chainages (CH). 5. Record and sketch properly all the data collected.
