8 мин Након прочитаног текста наставник поставља ученицима питања: What did the teenagers do? What do you think of this punishment? How would you punish these two teenagers? Такође пита ученике да ли им је још нека реч из текста била непозната. 2 мин -

Наставник пита ученике која глаголска времена су уочили у тексту. - Наставник на таблу лепи хамер на којем су на временским линијама приказана три глаголска времена The Past Simple, the Past Continuous и the Past Perfect. Ученике упућује да на 25 страни у својим уџбеницима обрате пажњу на табелу која се налази испод наслова CHECK IT OUT! Заједно са ученицима наставник, користећи временске линије на хамеру и примере, обнавља и утврђује ова три глаголска времена указујући на њихове употребе. - Наставник пита ученике да ли им је јасно и да ли имају нека питања. 7 мин -

Наставник позива ученике да погледају вежбање 7 на 25 страни уџбеника и објашњава им да су ту описане и друге необичне казне и да они треба да дају своје мишљење о каквом прекршају је реч користећи the Past Perfect . Да би додатно разјаснио активност наставник даје један пример -

(Могући проблеми: Ученици не користе the Past Perfect. Наставник исправља ученике и указује на употребу the Past Perfect али на такав начин да не ометa ученике у изношењу својих идеја да се они не би обесхрабрили – тек након што изнесу идеју, не прекидати ученика. На прецизности по питању употребе the Past Perfect више инсистирати у наредном вежбању. На овој етапи је битнија “fluency”) - Пошто ученици изнесу своје претпоставке, наставник их упућују да ураде наредно, 8. вежбање. 22

Даје упутство: Прво је потребно да глаголе у заградама ставе у the Past Perfect а затим повежу казне из претходног вежбања са одговарајућим прекршајем.
