Review Aircraft Technical Log, Airworthiness Deferred Defect Log, Non Airworthiness Deferred Defect Log. Check for open ADDs that require maintenance actions and start corrective actions as necessary before flight or alert to flight crew. Review cabin condition log for airworthiness items, if found, transfer to Aircraft Technical Log for corrective actions. NOTE: If ground time is more than one hour, APU must be shutdown with GPU connected. If no GPU is available, actions are left to the flight crew decision. FLUIDS MONITORING On ECAM display, check oxygen, oil, fuel, and hydraulic fluids for normal operation indications. If the ECAM ENG OIL QTY LOW LEVEL advisory is reported, visually check engine oil quantity on the oil tank sight gauge. Uplift if necessary (Reference: AMM 12-13-79). WARNING: IF NECESSARY TO REMOVE THE OIL TANK CAP, YOU MUST WAIT A MINIMUM OF 5 MINUTES AND NO GREATER THAN 60 MINUTES AFTER ENGINE SHUT-DOWN TO LET OIL SYSTEM AIR PRESSURE BLEED OFF. Record engine oil Uplift in Aircraft Technical Log or annotate nil/zero if no uplift is required. EXTERNAL CHECKS Perform aircraft walk-around and check the engines, fuselage, wings (including winglets or sharklets) and empennage inclusive of probes and ports to make sure there is no: Impact/Damage Lightning Strike Foreign Objects Fluid leakage Missing or loose parts Missing overpressure discharge discs, Damage of the fuselage tail skin by ground contact during takeoff, takeoff, Obstruction of inlets/outlets, inlets/outl ets, and probes/ports which may have occurred during the last flight. If necessary, where snow or ice condition exists, ensure aircraft exterior especially control surfaces and engine intakes are free from ice and snow, deicing may be required. Techlog entry for deicing is required.

3.2 Review open ADDs for MEL items that affect RVSM operations, inform to VJC MCC as required. NOTE: If damage or irregularities are found (which are within limits for normal flight), the aircraft must not be dispatched into RVSM airspace until evaluation is performed refer SRM ATA 53. Techlog entry and Notice to Crew shall be clearly stated in the Aircraft Technical Logbook. Check the engine and make sure: There is no damage damage on the air intake and the the fan blades or acoustic acoustic liners liners There are no foreign objects in the engine air intake, There is no fluid leakage on the drain mast, The cowl doors are correctly closed and latched. There is no damage or metal metal deposit at the turbine exhaust, inclusive of LPT blades, nozzle and plug.
3.3
Check the landing gear doors, wheels, brakes, tires and make sure: The NLG and MLG shock absorber shows normal extension, Tires: there’s no abnormal wear, no obvious damage and or signs of under inflation. There is no hydraulic fluid leakage on the brake units. Make sure that the wear indicators are in the limits (protruding) when the brakes are cold (brake temperature less than 60 oC) and with the parking brake ON.
3.4
NOTE:
Check tire pressure before first departure of the day (Reference: AMM 32-41-00) and record in Aircraft Technical Log, including including P/N P/N and S/N of the gauge used for the tire pressure check.
CAUTION: CAUTION:
TYRE PRESSURES MUST BE CHECKED AND CORRECTED WHEN THE TYRES ARE COLD. SERVICE TYRES WITH DRY NITROGEN NITROGEN ONLY (AD 87-08-09). REFER TO AMM TASK 3241-00-10-003-A FOR MAINTENANCE PRACTICE. PRACTICE.
