I believe you are delving into Dimensioning and to really understand this concept you have to know what your timeslots and channels represents on the Abis side (i.e Basic nibbles, Bonus nibbles and extra nibbles) Basic nibbles = Tch timeslots Bonus nibbles = BCCH/SDCCH timeslots Extra nibbles = apportioned based on your dimensioning and in most cases, this is the real determinant of how high your MCS can go (all parameters properly set) I'll just a attach a very good document(its ALU though but same concept) on this and if you need any further explanations or calculations then you may let me know
