 !he computer is a useful machine and nowadays it is important to many people. Children especially love to use the computer and they are spending more and more time on it. !hey get many bene"ts from the computer but it can also be dangerous for them.

#n one hand$ children learn a lot of things from computers and the Internet. !hey learn about people in di%erent countries$ they play games that help them learn to read and write and they get information for school pro&ects. !hey can read stories on the computer and save information. !he Internet connects them to other people. 'hen a child is bored he can go on the computer. Computers ma(e children smart.

#n the other hand$ the computer can have a negative e%ect on children. !hey may see bad things$ li(e videos and chat rooms that are meant for older people.  !his can cause the children to have bad behaviour and to hate school. It ta(es up a lot of free)time and it (eeps them from homewor( and they no longer want to pray and read the *uran and sit with their families. Also$ sitting at the computer for a long time is harmful to the eyes$ ma(ing them red and harming the sight.

In conclusion$ there are both good and bad things about computers and the Internet. +arents should ta(e good care when their children are using the Internet. !hey should supervise their children to ma(e sure they do not go to bad web sites. I thin( it is good if children use it for a short time$ so parents should not let the children sit at the computer for too long. !hey should teach their children to use the computer in a good way. I advise people to use computers well so that they will give us a great country and a great world.
