Chapter 85/Ṣloka 1: अथाऽ(यत् स78व:यािम स%ल=> स%?@AवBप। यद(यकारण>नाBप भHIज(माऽश%भ8दम्॥१॥ athā'nyat saṁpravakṣyāmi sulagne sugraheṣvapi| yadanyakāraṇenāpi bhavejjanmā'śubhapradam||1|| अथाऽ(यत्=another now [adjective of pronominal declension] स78व:यािम=I will explain [parasmaipada, 2nd gaṇa, sanskrit 3rd person, singular, future tense] स%ल=>=when Lagna is good [masculine “a” stem, singular, locative] स%?@AवBप=even when planets are good [indeclinable] यद(यकारण>नाBप=verily by another cause in which [indeclinable] भHIज(माऽश%भ8दम्=giving inauspicious birth ought to be [masculine “a” stem, singular, accusative] Now I will explain when the Lagna is good and even when the planets are good verily by another cause in which an inauspicous birth ought to be given.
Chapter 85/Ṣloka 2: दशK कLAणाचत%दNOयP BवQRP सोदरT तथा। BपतUT स%यNस7Vा(तौ पाXऽकY(Z?@ तथा॥२॥ darśe kṛṣṇācaturdaśyāṁ viṣṭyāṁ sodarabhe tathā| pitṛbhe suryasaṁkrāntau pāte'rkendugrahe tathā|| 2||

Chapter 85/Ṣloka 4: 8सवiय BवकाjऽBप k>य7 ज(माऽश%भ8दम्। शा(lया भवBत कmयाण7 तZपाय7 च वnoयहम्॥४॥ prasavasya vikāre'pi jñeyaṁ janmā'śubhapradam| śāntyā bhavati kalyāṇaṁ tadupāyaṁ ca vacmyaham||4|| 8सवiय=of the birth [masculine “a” stem, singular, genitive] BवकाjऽBप=verily when the “sickness” (inauspiciousness) [indeclinable] k>य= 7 is known [masculine “a” stem, singular, accusative] ज(माऽश%भ8दम्=giving inaupiciousness to the birth [masculine “a” stem, singular, accusative] शा(lया=by pacification [feminine “ī” stem, singular, instrumental] भवBत=that is [Parasmaipada, 1st gaṇa, sanskrit 3rd person, singular] कmयाण7=virtuous [masculine “a” stem singular, accusative] तZपाय7=that is successful [masculine “a” stem, singular, accusative] च=and [indeclinable]
वnoयहम्=I say that [sanskrit 1st person, singular, nominative] I say that of the birth verily when the “sickness” (inauspiciousness) is known giving inaupiciousness to the birth by pacification this virtuous and successful.
