Her dress... (Su vestido...[de ella])
O podemos decir:
Andrea's dress...
The wheel of the bike... (La rueda de la bicicleta...) Washington is the capital of the United States.
Question (pregunta): Where is your sister? (¿Dónde está tu hermana?) Answer (repuesta): She is at my parent's. (Está en la casa de mis padres.) Question (pregunta): Whose house is this? (¿De quién es esta casa?) Answer (repuesta): It is Michael's.
Ejemplos: This house is mine. (Esta casa es mía.) This dress is hers. (Este vestido es suyo.) Nota: Estas frases contestan a la pregunta " Whose Whose is this? " (¿De quién es?)

Conjunctions (Conjunciones)
Las conjunciones más comun son " and," "but" y "or".
Ejemplos: She works at a bank and goes to university. I like to swim in the ocean, but only if the water is warm. We can study now or later.
mismo valor.
Ejemplos: She likes to sing and dance. (Le gusta cantar y bailar.) I want to move to London so I am studying English. They are moving to Barcelona, however they really like Madrid. Nota: and, but, however, or, so, then, therefore, yet....
Ejemplos: I have been working at the bank since 2005. (Llevo trabajando en el banco desde 2005.) She is studying English so that she can move to London. They went to the beach although it was raining. (Fueron a la playa aunque estaba lloviendo.) Nota: although, as, after, before, if, since, so that, until, when

Comparatives and Superlatives (Los comparativos y superlativos)
Ejemplos: Juan runs fast. (Juan corre rápido.) Angela's room is clean. (La habitación de Angela es limpia.) I am tall. (Soy alto.) New York is big. (Nueva York es grande.) Nota: fast, hard, smart, pretty, clean, large, small, old, easy...
Para comparativos de inferioridad, usamos " not as...as" o " less" delante del adjetivo. Y para comparativos de igualidad, el adjetivo va entre " as...as".

Los Angeles is as big as New York.
Ejemplos: Juan is the fastest. (Juan es el más rápido.) Angela'a room is the cleanest. I am the tallest. (Soy el más alto.) New York is the biggest city in the United States. His smartest student is Lisa. (Su estudiante más lista es Lisa.) Prepositions (Las preposiciones)
Ejemplos: I live in Brighton. (Vivo en Brighton.) The cat is in the box. (El gato está dentro la caja.) I found your address in the phone book. (He encontrado tu dirección en la guía telefónica.) My parents arrive in France on Monday.
Ejemplos: We went to Mexico in May. (Fuimos a Méjico en mayo.) I always run in the mornings. (Siempre corro por las mañanas.) I will see him in a week. (Le veré en una semana.) She was born in 1976.
Ejemplos: He is at home. (Él está en casa.) I always visit my sister at work. We eat at the table. (Comemos en la mesa.) I will see him at the theatre. (Le veré en el teatro.) Her name is at the bottom of the page. When did you arrive at the airport?
Ejemplos: He runs every morning at 6. (Él corre cada mañana a las 6.) I will see them at Christmas. (Les veré en Navidad.)
18
Ejemplos: The pen is on the table. (El bolígrafo está sobre la mesa.) They have a photograph of Paris on the wall. I am on the bus. (Estoy en el autobús.) Her apartment is on the second floor.
Ejemplos: We went to Mexico on the first of May. (Fuimos a Méjico a primeros de mayo.) He runs on Mondays and Fridays. (Él corre los lunes y los viernes.) I will see Luis on his birthday.
Ejemplos: The supermarket is next to (beside) the bank. (El supermercado está junto al banco.) Sit next to (beside) me. (Siéntate a mi lado.)
castellano.
Ejemplos: I sit by the window. (Me siento a lado de la ventana.) Our house is by the river. (Nuestra casa está cerca del rio.)
3.- BETWEEN: Significado: entre
Ejemplos: The shop is between the bank and the train station. She is standing between Peter and John. (Permanece de pie entre Pedro y Juan.)

5-. IN FRONT OF vs. OPPOSITE: Significado: contrario, en frente de, opuesto, delante de Usos: La diferencia entre ellos es cuando estamos hablando de personas, " in front of " no implica estar delante y cara a cara, en cambio " opposite " significa delante y cara a cara.
Ejemplos: The hotel is in front of the station. The bank is opposite the market. (El banco está delante del mercado.) He is standing in front of you. (Está de pie delante de ti.) She is sitting opposite me.

Ejemplo: The table is below the clock.

Ejemplos: Objeto I like cooking./I like to cook. (Me gusta cocinar.) She continued working./She continued to work. (Continuó trabajando.) Sujeto Swimming is good exercise. (Nadar es un buen ejercicio.) Drinking and driving is dangerous. (Beber y conducir es peligroso.) Complemento The best thing to do when you are sick is to drink a lot of water. My favorite exercise is swimming.
Ejemplos: I can't afford to buy a new car. (No puede permitirse comprar un coche nuevo.) He began to doubt himself./He began doubting himself. (Comenzó a dudar de sí mismo.) They decided to move to Australia in May. (Decidieron mudarse a Australia en Mayo.) I enjoy listening to music. (Disfruto escuchar música.) She hates studying./She hates to study. (Odia estudiar.) You love dancing./You love to dance. (Te encanta bailar.) He needed to leave class early because he had an appointment. She can't tolerate complaining. (No puede tolerar quejas.) I tried learning English./I tried to learn English. (He intentado aprender inglés.)

Ejemplos: Frase negativa: There are not many tourist s. (No hay muchos turistas.) Frase interrogativa: How many cats do you have? (¿Cuántos gatos tienes?) Frase afirmativa: We have many friend s. (Tenemos muchos amigos.)
Ejemplos: There are too many change s for me. (Hay demasiados cambios para mi.) There are so many thing s I want to do!
Ejemplos: Frase negativa: There is not much time. (No hay mucho tiempo.) Frase interrogativa:
33
Apuntes de Ingles

Ejemplos: Frase negativa/nombre contable: I do not have any cat s. (No tengo ninguno gato.) Frase negativa/nombre incontable: He does not have any money. (No tiene dinero.) Frase interrogativa/nombre contable: Are there any change s? (¿Hay algunos cambios?) Frase interrogativa/nombre incontable: Is there any milk? (¿Hay leche?)
5.- No, None: Significado: No, ninguno
Ejemplos: Nombre contable: How many pencil s are there? None. (¿Cuántos lápices hay? Ninguno.) Nombre contable: There are no pencil s. (No hay lápices) Nombre incontable: How much money do you have? None. (¿Cuánto dinero tienes? Nada.)

Nombre incontable: I have no money. (No tengo dinero.)
6.- A lot of/Lots of: Significado: Mucho
Ejemplos: Nombre contable: He has a lot of books. (Tiene muchos libros.) Nombre contable: He does not have a lot of book s. (No tiene muchos libros.) Nombre incontable: I have lots of money. (Tengo mucho dinero.) Nombre incontable: I do not have a lot of money. (No tengo mucho dinero.)
7.- Little/A Little: Significado: Poco/s
Ejemplos: Frase interrogativa: Do you have a little money? (¿Tienes un poco dinero?) Frase afirmativa: We have little time. (Tenemos poco tiempo.)
8.- Few/A fewSignificado: Poco/s
Ejemplos: Frase interrogativa: Do you have a few dollar s? (¿Tienes unos dólares?) Frase afirmativa: There are few tourist s here today. (Hay pocos turistas aquí hoy.)

Constructing Sentences (Construir frases)
1.- Affirmative Sentences (Frases afirmativas) Estructura: Sujeto + verbo + nombre, adjetivo + complemento
Ejemplos: I'm happy. (Estoy contento.) She likes ice cream. (Le gusta el helado.) We live in Madrid. (Vivimos en Madrid.) They have [they've got] a car. (Tienen un coche.)
2.- Negative Sentences (Frases negativas)
Dependiendo del verbo, hay dos formas para construir frases negativas: a) Como regla general, para construir frases negativas necesitamos el verbo auxiliar "to do". Conjugamos el verbo
auxiliar ("to do") en frases negativas. Estructura: Sujeto + verbo auxiliar ("to do") + auxiliar negativo + verbo principal + nombre, adjetivo...
Ejemplos She doesn't like ice cream. (No le gusta el helado.) We don't live in Madrid. (No vivimos en Madrid.) They don't have [haven't got] a car.
Estructura: Sujeto + verbo + auxiliar negativo + nombre, adjetivo...
Ejemplos I'm not happy. (No estoy contento.) They've not [they haven't] got a car. (No tienen un coche.)
36
Estructura: Verbo auxiliar ("to do") + sujeto + verbo + nombre, adjetivo...
Ejemplos Does she like ice cream? (¿Le gusta el helado?) Do you live in Madrid? (¿Vives en Madrid?) Do they have a car? (¿Tienen un coche?)
b) Con los verbos " to be" (ser/estar) y "have got" (tener). Estructura: Verbo + sujeto + nombre, adjetivo...
Ejemplos Is he happy? (¿Está contento?) Have they got a car? (¿Tienen un coche?)
4.- Imperative Sentences (Frases imperativas)
Ejemplos: Do your homework! (¡Haz los deberes!) Wash your hands! (¡Lavaros las manos!) Tell me the truth! (¡Dime la verdad!)
b) El imperativo negativo Estructura: Verbo auxiliar ("to do") + auxiliar negativo ("not") + verbo + nombre, adjetivo...
Ejemplos: Do not lie to me! (¡No me mientas!) Do not wash in the washing machine. (No lo lave en la lavadora.) Don't hit your sister! (¡No le pegues a tu hermana!)

Grammatical Rules (Reglas gramaticales)
"Who" y "what" pueden actuar como objeto o como sujeto en una oración interrogativa. Si actúan como sujeto no utilizarán auxiliar ( do, be...) para preguntar.
Ejemplo 1:
Oración principal: Danny asks the teacher. (Dani pregunta al profesor.)
Preguntamos por el sujeto: Who asks the teacher? Danny. (¿Quién preguntó al profesor? Dani.)
Preguntamos por el objeto : Who did Danny ask? The teacher. (¿A quién preguntó Dani? Al profesor.)
Ejemplo 2:
Oración principal: Something happens. (Algo pasa.)
Preguntamos por el sujeto: What happens? Something. (¿Qué pasa? Algo.)
Ejemplo 3:
Oración principal: Maria says "hello." (Maria dice "hola.")
Preguntamos por el objeto: What does Maria say? Hello. (¿Qué dice Maria? Hola.)
Ejemplos: What are you thinking about? (¿En qué piensas?) Where's she driving to? (¿Hacia dónde está conduciendo?) Who are they laughing at? (¿De quién se están reiendo?)

Question Tags (Las preguntas coletillas)
Ejemplos: You eat meat, don't you? (Comes carne, ¿verdad?) She doesn't like to dance, does she? (No le gusta bailar, ¿no?) Alex and Sergio are friends, aren't they? (Alex y Sergio son amigos, ¿no?)
Grammatical Rules (Reglas gramaticales)
Si no tuviera auxiliar entonces utilizaríamos el auxiliar " to do".
Ejemplos: Oraciones afirmativas Your brother is older than you, isn't he? You can help me, can't you? (Puedes ayudarme, ¿verdad?) John is getting married, isn't he? (John se casará, ¿verdad?) You worked yesterday, didn't you? (Trabajaste ayer, ¿si?) Sarah likes ice cream, doesn't she? (A Sarah le gusta el helado, ¿no?) Oraciones negativas You're not from here, are you? (No eres de aquí, ¿no?) Kate's not American, is she? (Kate no es americana, ¿verdad?) Peter never liked Susan, did he? (A Peter nunca le gustó Susan, ¿verdad?) They didn't go to class yesterday, did they? (No fueron a la clase ayer, ¿verdad?) You can't dance, can you? (No puedes bailar, ¿no?)
Nota: Con el verbo " to have", hay dos posibilidades:
Ejemplos: United Kingdom They've got a dog, haven't they? (Tienen un perro, ¿no?) United States They have a dog, don't they? (Tienen un perro, ¿no?)
Excepción: Con el verbo " to be" en la primera persona de oraciones negativas, se usa " aren't" en la pregunta coletilla.
Ejemplos: I am not wrong, am I? I am wrong, aren't I? I am wrong, amn't I?

Ejemplos: Involuntaria: I (can) see you. (Te veo.) I am seeing you. It smells like you are cooking something. (Huele como que estás cocinando algo.) It is smelling like you are cooking something. Voluntaria: I am seeing you later, right? (¿Te veré luego, no?) I see you later, right? I am tasting the soup to see if it is as good as it smells.
2.- Verbos emotivos:
Ejemplos: You're lying. I don't believe you! You're lying. I am not believing you! Don't worry, he understands you. Don't worry, he is understanding you. You think there is something wrong? You are thinking there is something wrong? believe (creer), dislike (no gustar), doubt (dudar), imagine (imaginar), hate (odiar), know (saber, conocer), like (gustar), love (encantar, amar, querer), prefer (preferir), realize (dar cuenta), recognize (reconocer), remember (recordar, acordarse), suppose (suponer), think (creer), understand (entender, comprender), want (querer), wish (esperar)
3.- Verbos de estado o verbos abstractos:
Ejemplos: I am ill. I am being ill. You are silly. (*Significa que "eres tonto.") You are being silly. Otros ejemplos: David needs a new car. David is needing a new car.

Phrasal and Prepositional Verbs (Verbos preposicionales y verbos frasales)
Preposicional: He lives down the street. (Vive abajo de la calle.) Adverbial: I couldn't live down that incident.

can could may might will shall should ought to must would
Uses (Usos) 1.- Can: "Can" indica habilidad o posibilidad.
Ejemplos: I can speak five languages. (Puedo hablar cinco idiomas.) We can work late tonight if you need us. Bill and Tom can't help you. (Bill y Tom no pueden ayudarte.) The restaurant can be expensive if you drink a lot of wine. It can be dangerous to drive if you are tired.
Ejemplos: Can I have a glass of water? (¿Puedo tomar un vaso de agua?) Can you help me? (¿Puedes ayudarme?) Can they work late tonight? (¿Pueden trabajar hasta tarde esta noche?)
45
Apuntes de Ingles 2.- Could: "Could" indica posibilidad o habilidad en el pasado.
Ejemplos: Joe could speak Spanish when he was young. (Joe podía hablar español cuando era joven.) I couldn't sleep last night. (No pude dormir anoche.) It could have been worse. (Podría haber sido peor.) Could you play an instrument when you were a child?
Ejemplos: You could pass the test if you studied. (Podrías pasar el examen si estudiaras.) I think it could rain later.
Ejemplos: Could you pass the salt please? (¿Podría pasarme la sal por favor?) Could you help me? (¿Podrías ayudarme?) Could I be wrong? (¿Podría estar equivocado?)
Nota: Se usa "could" en frases condicionales.
3.- May: Como "could", se usa "may" para indicar posibilidades en el futuro.
Ejemplos: I would bring an umbrella, it may rain later. (Llevaria un paraguas, puede llover más tarde.) It may be better to finish this now, rather than wait until tomorrow.
Ejemplos: You may leave if you like. (Puede salir si le gusta.) You may use your cell phones now. (Podéis usar sus teléfonos ahora.)
Con sí o no preguntas, el uso de " may" es más educado que " can".
Ejemplos: May I have a glass of water? (¿Podría tomar un vaso de agua?) May I leave now? (¿Podría salir ahora?)
46
Ejemplos: I would bring an umbrella, it might rain later. It might be better to finish this now, rather than wait until tomorrow.
Ejemplos: I will help you. (Te ayudaré.) We will learn English.
Ejemplos: Will they find a cure for cancer? (¿Encontrarán una cura para el cáncer?) Will you help me move? (¿Me ayudas a mudarme?) Will he go to Paris by car or train?
Ejemplos: Chris shall be happy to see you. (Chris estará feliz de verte.) I'll take the 3 o'clock train.
Entonces "I'll" en el ejemplo anterior puede significar " I will" o "I shall".
Ejemplos: Shall we meet at 10pm? (¿Quedamos a las 22h?) Shall we go to the movies or a museum? (¿Vamos al cine o a un museo?)
6.- Should: "Should" indica un obligación o recomendación.
Ejemplos: I should call my parents more often. (Debería llamar a mis padres más a menudo.) You shouldn't work so hard. (No debería trabajar tan duro.)
47
Apuntes de Ingles
They should practice more if they want to win the championship.
Ejemplos: Should we leave a tip? (¿Deberíamos dejar una propina?) Should I have the steak or the chicken? (¿Debería comer el bistec o el pollo?) Where should they meet you? (¿Dónde deberían encontrarte?)
7.- Ought to: "Ought to" es un sinónimo de " should", pero nunca se usa " ought to" en frases interrogativas en inglés
americano.
Ejemplos: She ought to quit smoking. (Debería dejar de fumar.) I ought to call my parents more often. (Debería llamar a mis padres más a menudo.) They ought to work less. (Deberían trabajar menos.)
8.- Must: "Must" indica una obligación, prohibición o necesidad. También puede emplearse " to have to" (tener que).
Ejemplos: You must [have to] read this book, it's fantastic. (Tienes que leer este libro, es fantástico.) You must [have to] brush your teeth two times a day. We must [have to] leave now or we will be late. (Tenemos que irnos ahora o llegaremos tarde.) You must not drink and drive. (No puedes beber y conducir.) When must we meet you? (¿Cuándo debemos quedar? )
Ejemplos: John's not here. He must be sick because he never misses class. (John no esta aquí. Debe estar enfermo porque nunca pierde clases.) It must be difficult to learn a new language as an adult.
Ejemplos: Must you always be late? (¿Siempre tienes que llegar tarde?) Must she talk so much? (¿Tiene que hablar tanto?)
9.- Would: Se usa "would" para declarar una preferencia y para preguntar por algo educadamente.
Ejemplos: She would like to go to New York someday. I would like a beer and my wife would like a glass of wine please. Would you like some coffee? (¿Le gustaría un cafe?) Would you help me please? (¿Me ayudas por favor?)

Conditional Sentences (Frases condicionales)
IF

If
Present simple
Present simple
Ejemplos: If you heat water to 100° C, it boils. / Water boils if you heat it to 100° C. (Si calientas agua a 100 ° C hierve.) If I don't practice the piano everyday I play poorly. / I play the piano poorly if I don't practice everyday. Does your mom get mad if you don't call her? / If you don't call your mom, does she get mad?
2.- First Conditinal (Tipo 1)
IF
Condition
Result
If
Present simple
Future simple ("will")
Ejemplos: If Bill studies, he will pass the exam. / Bill will pass the exam if he studies. (Si Bill estudia, aprobará el examen.) If it doesn't rain, we will go to the beach. / We will go to the beach if it doesn't rain. (Si no llueve, iremos a la playa.) Will you take the train if you miss the bus? / If you miss the bus, will you take the train?
Ejemplos: If it doesn't rain, we may go to the beach. If it doesn't rain we should go to the beach. If it doesn't rain we can go to the beach.

Past simple
"Would" + infinitivo
Ejemplos: If I won the lottery, I would travel around the world. / I would travel around the world if I won the lottery. Would you be happy if you were to get married? / If you were to get married, would you be happy?
IF

Past perfect
"Would have" + past participle
Ejemplos: If I had known then what I know now, I would have done things differently. / I would have done things differently if I had known then what I know now. Suzanne wouldn't have had the heart attack if she had gone on a diet as her doctor recommended. / If Suzanne had gone on a diet as her doctor recommended she wouldn't have had the heart attack. Would you have liked to go to university if you had been able to afford it? / If you had been able to afford it, would you have liked to go to university? Direct and Reported Speech (El estilo directo y indirecto)
Ejemplos: "I am going to London next week," she said.("Voy a Londres la semana que viene," ella dijo.) "Do you have a pen I could borrow," he asked. Alice said, "I love to dance." (Alice dijo, "Me encanta bailar.") Chris asked, "Would you like to have dinner with me tomorrow night?"
Direct Speech

Say vs. Tell
Ejemplos: Estilo directo "I'm hungry," he said. ("Tengo hambre," él dijo.) "I need your help," Glen said to Mike. ("Necesito tu ayuda," Glen dijo a Mike.) She said, "Do you like to dance?" (Ella dijo, "¿Te gusta bailar?") Estilo indirecto He said he was hungry. (Él dijo que tenía hambre.) Glen said to Mike that he needed his help. She asked me if I liked to dance. (Me preguntó si me gustaba bailar.)
Ejemplos: Estilo directo He told me, "I'm hungry." (Me dijo, "Tengo hambre.") Glen told Mike, "I need your help." (Glen dijo a Mike, "Necesito to ayuda.") Estilo indirecto He told me that he was hungry. (Me dijo que tuvo hambre.) Glen told Mike that he needed his help.
Ejemplos: I told him, "Stop complaining." (Le dije, "Deja de quejarte.") She told us to hurry. (Nos dijo de darnos prisa.)
- Usamos "tell" cuando damos o pedimos información.
Ejemplos: "Can you tell me your name please." ("Dime tu nombre, por favor.") You told him the address of the office?

Have you been to London? (¿Has ido a Londres?) Have they learned English?
Ejemplos: I have never flown in a plane. (Nunca he volado en un avión.) He has worked in many different museums. (Ha trabajado en muchos museos diferentes.) We have been to Rio de Janiero.
Ejemplos: I have become more timid in my old age. (Me he vuelto más tímido en mi vejez.) Their English has improved a lot this year. (Su inglés ha mejorado mucho este año.) He has learned to be more patient. (Ha aprendido a ser más paciente.)
3.- Se usa para las exitosos.
Ejemplos: Our football team has won the championship three times. Dan has finished writing his first novel. Scientists have succeeded in curing many illnesses.
Ejemplos: The plane hasn't arrived yet. (El avión no ha llegado todavía.) Our team still hasn't won a championship. You haven't finished your homework yet? (¿No has acabado todavía los deberes?)
Ejemplos: We have talked several times, but we still can't reach an agreement. Our team has played 4 games so far this year. I love New York! I have been there 5 times already and I can't wait to go back. (¡Me encanta Nueva York!
Ejemplos: How long has Michael been in Barcelona? (¿Cuánto tiempo ha estado Michael en Barcelona?) I have loved you since the day I met you.

La forma es la misma para todas personas (I, you, he, she, it, we, they).
Ejemplos: want → wanted learn → learned stay → stayed walk → walked show → showed
Excepciones:
Ejemplos: change → changed believe → believed
Ejemplos: stop → stopped commit → commied
Ejemplos: study → studied try → tried
Nota: Hay muchos verbos irregulares en inglés. Desafortunadamente, no hay reglas fijadas para formarlos. A

Ejemplos: I'd been working for hours when I fell asleep at my desk. Frank bought a new car. He'd been wanting one since last year. We'd been disagreeing for days when Elizabeth found a resolution.
Ejemplos: She was tired because she'd been working too much. (Estaba cansado porque había estado trabajando demasiado.) They were angry because they'd been waiting for me for hours.

Ejemplos: She had only owned one car before she bought her new BMW. I'd been depressed for a long time before I changed jobs.

b) Future: "Going to": "Going to" se equivale a "ir a" en español. Structure (Estructura) a) Affirmative Sentences (Frases afirmativas) Estructura: Sujeto + verbo auxiliar ("to be") + "going to" + verbo principal + complemento
Ejemplos: I'm going to ring (call) you tonight. (Voy a llamarte esta noche.) She's going to arrive late. (Va a llegar tarde.) They're going to be happy to see you. (Van a estar felices de verte.)
b) Negative Sentences (Frases negativas) Estructura: Sujeto + verbo auxiliar ("to be") + "not" + "going to" + verbo principal + complemento
Ejemplos: I'm not going to ring (call) you tonight. (No voy a llamarte esta noche.) She's not going to arrive late. (No va a llegar tarde.) They're not going to be happy to see you. (No van a estar felices de verte.)
c) Interrogative Sentences (Frases interrogativas) Estructura: Verbo auxiliar ("to be") + sujeto + "going to" + verbo principal + complemento
Ejemplos: Are you going to ring (call) me tonight? (¿Vas a llamarme esta noche?) Is she going to arrive late? (¿Va a llegar tarde?) Are they going to be happy to see you? (¿Van a estar felices de verte?)

Ejemplos: I'm about to leave. (Estoy a punto de irme.) The concert is about to begin.
Ejemplos: Will you help me move? (¿Me ayudarás a mudarme?) They will clean their rooms. (Limpiarán sus habitaciones.) She won't work with Paul. (No trabajará con Paul.)
75
Ejemplos: When I am president, I will lower taxes. (Cuando sea presidente, bajaré los impuestos.) He promises he will call when he arrives. (Le prometio llamar cuando llegue.)
3.- Se usa "going to" para planes. Se indica la intención a hacer algo.
Ejemplos: We're going to have a party tonight. (Vamos a dar una fiesta esta noche.) Richard's going to take an English class. Are you going to play football later? (¿Vas a jugar futbol luego?)
Ejemplos: It will be a great party. / It's going to be a great party. (Será una fiesta genial.) It won't rain. / It's not going to rain.
Ejemplos: Sarah is arriving tonight. (Sarah llega esta noche.) I'm going to the doctor this afternoon.
Ejemplos: The party starts at 9pm. (La fiesta empieza a las 21h.) The train leaves at 10am. (El tren sale a las 10h.)
