This screen provides 3 options to the User to specify the operation to be performed: 1. Create EasyWizard Hardware Template: The user specifies this option when he wants to create a hardware template, which can be used in EasyWizard mode of commissioning. 2. Create EasyWizard Transmission Template: The user specifies this option when he wants to create a transmission template, which can be used in EasyWizard mode of commissioning. 3. Create SCF: The user specifies to prepare a partial or complete SCF by navigating through all the screens of commissioning wizard, which can be later used to commission BTS with no user intervention.

This screen provides the following four options to the User: 1. Commission from EasyWizard Template File: The user selects this radio button to commission an uncommissioned BTS with EasyWizard Template. For this purpose it is mandatory to provide both hardware and transmission templates. The user will manually provide the site-specific information, Local Sectors, Antenna Settings, Battery Backup Unit, and passive unit details. User can provide the EasyWizard Template Files by browsing through the file system When the selected Transmission Template contains PIU Type as FIQA/FIYA in PWE mode, the Tunnel Setting and PseudoWire Settings information also needs to be provided. 2. Commission from SCF: The user selects this option when a complete SCF is available (it is mandatory). This will be a one-click commissioning as user specifies the file and will directly be moved to SCF preview to send it to BTS if it is a valid file and does contain complete information. 3. Commission Manually: This radio button let user to commission the BTS without using any predefined configuration. The user will specify all the data required for commissioning by moving through the complete wizard. 4. Undo Commissioning of BTS to erase bypass capacity: This options lets user remove the bypass capacity present in the un-commissioned BTS. Undo Commissioning of BTS to erase bypass capacity option is enabled when changing the mode from TDM to PWE or vice-versa from transmission view. In this case all other options except Undo Commissioning of BTS to erase bypass capacity remain disabled and unselected.

Undo Commissioning of BTS to erase bypass capacity option is enabled when changing the mode from TDM to PWE or vice-versa from transmission view. In this case all other options except Undo Commissioning of BTS to erase bypass capacity remain disabled and unselected. Commission Standalone: This checkbox allows user to commission the BTS standalone, i.e.

Ambient Air Temperature offset is used to calculate ambient temperature according to sensor temperature and rotational fan speed. Purpose of monitoring ambient air temperature is to indicate user if some problem occurs and thus can do safety handling.

Select one of the following options:- Specify manually or Specify from file. • To specify hardware configuration settings based on an existing SCF, select Specify from file, then select Browse. • To specify hardware configuration settings based on a configuration predefined by Nokia Siemens Networks, select Specify from file, and click the folder icon. This will show the configuration picker from which user can select the configuration. User can filter the configurations shown according to the number of sectors, the carriers per sector, and/or the combining method. • To specify hardware configuration from the start, select Specify manually. • If the BTS connected and already commissioned, another options is Do not change settings 7. 8. Enter the module configuration parameters. • The module configuration screen displays the current module configuration. User can graphically configure various radio modules, synchronization master, and radio masters. • RF Module Configuration: • Add and configure RF chain from OPT1 to OPT4. A maximum of four Radio Module chains can be added in either of two modes; collapsed with only FRM ID's or expanded with FRM location. User can add a chain in expanded mode. Each of these RF chains can contain up to three FRMs • After adding a chain in expanded mode, user can add a RF units in increasing order of their position in the chain. User can choose between RM and RF modules. • User can delete the RF chain or the RF unit by clicking the cross button on the right side of the chain. • Radio Master Configuration: allows user to specify the radio master for a chain through the Radio Master Table. • The Synchronization master check box allows user to specify the synchronization master. 9. Click Next to continue. The Local Sector Settings page opens.

10. Enter Local Sector setting parameters. • Local sector settings screen allows user to configure and associate antennas of only one type of RF unit (RM) to a particular local sector. • Select the local sector Id which shows the available antennas for configured RF unit. To assign an antenna to a local sector, user can select antennas from the list and move it to associated antenna list and vice versa. • A local sector must have at least one antenna associated and perTRXPower parameter associated to it. 11. Click Next to continue. • The Antenna Settings page opens.

12. Enter the antenna settings parameters. Select the antenna line settings from the drop-down list. User can specify MHA settings and also provide information for feeder voltage, feeder loss, VSWR minor and major limits for the selected antenna. • Feeder Voltage: Select the feeder voltage for an antenna line. Possible values are 0,12 and 24 volts. • Feeder Loss: Specify total antenna losses for an antenna line (including cables, jumpers and connectors). Possible values are -99.9 to 0, in steps of 0.1. • VSWR minor limit: Specify VSWR minor limit for only TxRx antennas. Range of values are 1.5 to 2.9, in steps of 0.2 (Default value is 2.1). • VSWR major limit: Select from the range of 2.5 to 3.5, in steps of 0.2 to specify VSWR major limit for only TxRx antennas (Default value is 3.1).
Note : VSWR minor and major limits are not applicable for even antennas MHA Settings • MHA Type - Type of MHA used with the antenna. Value: NONE /AISG/NON AISG. If MHA type is none all the associated fields are disabled. • Product Type - Enables user to specify Product Type of MHA. • Serial Number - Enables user to specify Serial No. of Antenna. • Product code - Enables user to specify product code of MHA. • Detected from - Specifies the controlling antenna MHA. This field is disabled if MHA is Non AISG. • LNA number - Parameter for MHA telling LNA number inside one MHA. This field is disabled if MHA is Non AISG. • Gain - Defines the gain of the mast-head amplifier. Value: 0 to 99.9 • Alarm threshold - Shows threshold values only when MHA alarms enabled checkbox is checked. Disabled when MHA type is AISG and it is offline mode. • Bypass Supported - Indicates if bypass mode is supported or not for MHA. Visible only when MHA type

13. Change the antenna monitoring parameters. User can change the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) sample count. The sample count defines how many samples must be made for a single RSSI measurement to be considered valid. There is only one sample count which applies to all antennas. 14. RET (Remote Electrical Tilt) Settings The RET setting page opens. The screen allows user to configuration of RETs in either online or offline mode. • Offline mode allows user work in offline mode or online uncommissioned mode. User can add and delete RETs from the list. User can also configure the selected RET parameter. • Online Mode allows user to work in commissioned state and settings get uploaded from the BTS. RETs (Ranging from 1 to 72) get autodetected and the fields get auto populated. User can configure the parameters for the selected RET. à Click Next to continue

15. External Alarm configuration FRM external alarm and control settings screen allows user to configure the external alarm lines associated with the individual FRMs. User can also see the summary of the configured alarm lines in a pictorial format. 16. 18. Enter the battery backup unit parameters On the drop-down menu, select FPxA / WPxx / FPRx when the EBCA alarm cable is connected to the FPA connector on the ESMA System Module. Select NON_NOKIA if a 3rd party BBU is used and the BBU alarms are monitored via EAC alarm lines. (Note that the FPA connector can only be used for BBU-related alarms, not for other kind of EAC alarms). Parameters: Unit Type - Enables to select the type of the Battery Backup Unit used. Selecting the unit type enables the other items in this page. Values: No BBU Present, FPxA, WPxx, FPRx or NON_NOKIA. The mapping of these BBU unit types in SCF is: FPxA: FPMA WPxx: MIBBU FPRx: IPSU Serial No. - Enables to specify the serial number of the Battery Backup Unit. Mandatory only for the complete SCF. Product Type - Enables to specify the type of the Battery Backup Unit. Mandatory only for the complete SCF. Installation Date - Enables to specify the installation date of the Battery Backup Unit with spinner or calendar. Expiry Date - Enables to specify the expiration date of the Battery Backup Unit with spinner or calendar. Description - Enables to enter a description about the Battery Backup Unit. 19. 22. Select one of the options, depending on how user wish to commission the transmission settings. Selecting Specify from file gives user two options: • Open either an existing Site Configuration File (SCF, with .xml file identifer), Node Level transmission file (.nod), or a Transmission template file (.ept) by selecting the Browse button. • Alternatively, user can easily select a standard Transmission template file by selecting the button, which is next to the Transmission File text box. Details of the standard Transmission template files supplied with the 2G Flexi BTS Site Manager are given in Appendix List of transmission Template Files supplied with 2G Flexi BTS Site Manager. When the selected file is opened, fields in the Commissioning Wizard pages will be filled in automatically according to the parameters in the file. Note: • New transmission submodules may be damaged and will not operate correctly if they are replaced when the base transceiver station (BTS) power is switched on. Switch off the Flexi MultiRadio BTS before replacing the transmission submodules. • In case the transmission plug-in unit (PIU) module type changes, perform undo commissioning with removal of bypass traffic after the new PIU is inserted. 23. Selecting Specify manually. Specify manually gives user the possibility to define all transmission settings manually. When this option is selected, user must choose the type of transmission plug-in unit (PIU) user would like to commission: • Flexi transmission interface E1 asymmetrical sub-module (FIEA), • Flexi transmission interface E1/T1 symmetrical sub-module (FIPA), • Flexi transmission interface Flexbus sub-module (FIFA), • Flexi transmission interface over IP and E1/T1 symmetrical sub-module (FIQA/B), • Flexi transmission interface Abis over IP and E1 asymmetrical sub-module (FIYA/).
24. Selecting Upload from BTS. Upload from BTS causes the 2G Flexi BTS Site Manager to upload the current transmission settings from the BTS, which can then be modified as required. à Click Next to Continue

28 Enter the synchronization parameters for TDM. • On the Sources tab, user can • Configure the clock Priority List from a list of available clock sources for the interface in use • Add or remove sources from the Priority List • Increase or decrease the priority of a source in the list When Sync Input is selected as the active source, and when Clock Sync States indicate Slave mode, then TRS shall drive clock from OCXO. PDH Loop Protection is a function that provides instant recovery from transmission failures in a network of network elements, where each element is assigned two independent transmission routes. 30. Set Abis Termination settings. There are also two check boxes for BSC Download of Abis Signal Mapping: • Enable Abis Signal Mapping. With this option, user can enable/disable the Abis Signal Mapping feature. This feature allows the BSC to dynamically provide the Abis allocations (TRXSIG, TCH, EDAP) for a BTS. The allocations are received from BSC every time the site starts or when the BCF is reset. The default value for this option is ‘disabled’. The OMUSIG must be allocated so that the BSC can communicate with the BTS. • Allow Abis Allocations from BTS Manager. With this option, user can enable/disable the Allow Abis Allocation from 2G Flexi BTS Site Manager feature. When the option is enabled, user can allocate the Abis allocations from the BTS Manager but these allocations can be overridden by the BSC. The BTS Manager displays a warning message once this option is selected. The default value for this option is ‘disabled’. These options are available in both online and offline modes.

Q1 EOC Allocation Q1 EOC channels are used to carry Q1 commands from the Q1 entities Master/Slave over the interfaces. User can add and delete the Q1 EOC channels. Only one EOC channel can be made for each Interface. Q1 Polling Mode is displayed in the online mode. The values can be BTS Polling or BSC Polling. In BTS polling, Flexi MultiRadio BTS supervises (is Q1 master) all internal or external transmission equipment connected to the BTS. In BSC polling, the BSC supervises all transmission equipment (is Q1 master). The external equipment can be connected to the BTS through Q1 cable or via configured Q1 EOC channel. The polling mode cannot be changed manually at the BTS but is the result of the configuration at the BSC. In the Flexi MultiRadio BTS it is not necessary to manually configure any Q1 switches to establish the internal Q1 paths. The configuration is done automatically based on the Q1 polling mode. As a consequence all internal or external transmission devices connected to the BTS must be either BTS polled or BSC polled. A combination of polling modes is not possible. This must be observed particularly when configuring the external devices (connected either through Q1 cable or EOC channel).

Ethernet Interface Setting The Ethernet interface for the connection must be selected. There are three options: • If the PseudoWire traffic is delivered to the BTS site via 100 Base-T Ethernet, you need to configure the PseudoWire mode with the EIF1 or EIF2 interface selected. • If the PseudoWire traffic is delivered to the BTS site via optical Gigabit Ethernet, you need to configure the PseudoWire mode with the EIF3 interface selected. Auto negotiation is not applicable for EIF3. Note that this option can only be selected if a compatible SFP module is inserted into the FIQA or FIYA. • If you select none, you can continue with the PseudoWire configuration but no Ethernet interface is taken into use. PseudoWire operation is not possible in this case. • Note that the Ethernet switching feature is supported as soon as more than one Ethernet interface is taken into use. In case of Fast Ethernet, the default speed is 100 Mbps. If Auto negotiation is disabled, the fixed 100 Mbps speed is in use. If Auto negotiation is enabled, the interface uses the negotiated speed. In case of Gigabit Ethernet, the fixed speed is 1Gbps. • Auto negotiation is not supported. Manual configuration of speed or duplexity is not supported for any of the Ethernet interfaces. • The Interface role settings can also be specified. When defining the role for the three Ethernet interfaces, backhaul port is mandatory and should be assigned to only one in use interface. The default role is Access_Switched. A port which is already assigned with Backhaul role cannot have any other role. Ingress policing is mandatory only if the role given to a port is 'Access QoS IPSec scheduled'. Network Plane Settings All the fields in this screen are mandatory. When Packet Abis is used, it is mandatory to have supervision for the user plane. The BTS sends dummy packets in periodic intervals to the BSC. The BSC filters these packets based on the UDP Radio Channel port (indicating a non-valid TRX) and forwards them back to the BTS. BTS starts sending dummy packets when there is at least one functioning TRX, and stops sending the packets when there are no functioning TRXs (no TRX signaling link). You can specify the time interval for the BTS to send the packets for data and voice under User plane supervision. The BTS IP address is the M-plane IP address, and the BSC IP address is the BSC Mplane IP address for that BTS. The subnet mask is the BTS M-plane subnet mask. The gateway IP addresses are of the local subnet that the BTS belongs to. In PAoPSN Relay Mode, when the system is uncommissioned (with bypass capacity) and commissioned again, then the BSC IP address parameter must be configured again.

Packet Abis Security In the Firewall tab, you can specify the firewall settings. Select the Enable ICMP redirect option if IP routing is used between the source and destination, that is, if an IP gateway is configured. With ICMP redirect message, the gateway may update the routing to a dedicated destination by providing a new gateway address. So, when the BTS receives an ICMP redirect message from the gateway, it updates the routing table for the destination of the packet that triggered the ICMP redirect message. However, this routing update is not permanent, that is, the configured gateway address is not changed and becomes effective again after a reset. The purpose of this feature is to optimize routing to the destination. Select the Enable packet filtering option to activate the BTS firewall. This feature should always be enabled.

Synchronization On the Sources tab, you can: • Configure the clock priority list from a list of available clock sources. You can only select one of the PseudoWire interfaces as a synchronization source. • Add or remove sources from the priority list. • Increase or decrease the priority of a source in the list. Note that if Internal Timing is part of the priority list, it has always the lowest priority. When the FIYB/FIQB plug-in units are used, there are some additional synchronization sources available. The synchronization sources specific to FIYB/FIQB are Timing over Packet (ToP) and Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE). ToP and SyncE have separate licenses. Only one among ToP, SyncE, and PseudoWires can be moved into the priority list at a time. ToP master IP address parameter becomes mandatory when ToP is moved into the priority list. When ToP or SyncE are moved to the Priority List, the 'Optional Parameters' button is displayed. The optional parameters of ToP and SyncE can be configured through the window which appears on clicking the 'Optional Parameters’ button. The ToP parameters define the synchronization message rate and time interval for measuring the rate. In the ‘Announce message rate’ field, specify the interval of receiving announce messages by ToP Slave clock from ToP master. The ‘Unicast transmission duration’ specifies the duration for which the TRS receives sync messages from the ToP master. You can enable Synchronization status messages (SSM). The SSM message includes the quality level of incoming reference signals. This enhances reliability across the network for the operator and eases troubleshooting.

If header compression of ML- PPP and UDP/IP headers are enabled, IP header compression is the process of compressing excess protocol headers before transmitting them on a link and uncompressing them to their original state on reception at the other end of the link. It is possible to compress the protocol headers due to the redundancy in header fields of the same packet as well as consecutive packets of the same packet stream. Since header compression may not be available in all network elements, this functionality is optional and to be enabled/disabled by configuration. The header compression settings must be in line with those at the BSC.

A bundle can have maximum up to 8 channels. Maximum number of channels possible for all the bundles is 68. Q1 Management Click Add, select the sampling rate (will be the same for all Q1 EOC allocations), and define the other settings in the table to meet user requirements. If user enable the Q1 loop protection, select the Loop option (primary and secondary) in the table. Note : For Q1 polling to work properly over time-slot 0, the base transceiver station (BTS) has to be commissioned with the OMUSIG or cross-connected traffic. Q1 EOC Allocation Q1 EOC channels are used to carry Q1 commands from the Q1 entities - Master/Slave over the interfaces. User can add and delete the Q1 EOC channels. Only one EOC channel can be made for each Interface. Q1 Polling Mode is displayed in the online mode. The values can be BTS Polling or BSC Polling. In BTS polling, Flexi MultiRadio BTS supervises (is Q1 master) all internal or external transmission equipment connected to the BTS. In BSC polling, the BSC supervises all transmission equipment (is Q1 master). The external equipment can be connected to the BTS through Q1 cable or via configured Q1 EOC channel. The polling mode cannot be changed manually at the BTS but is the result of the configuration at the BSC. In the Flexi MultiRadio BTS it is not necessary to manually configure any Q1 switches to establish the internal Q1 paths. The configuration is done automatically based on the Q1 polling mode. As a consequence all internal or external transmission devices connected to the BTS must be either BTS polled or BSC polled. A combination of polling modes is not possible. This must be observed particularly when configuring the external devices (connected either through Q1 cable or EOC channel).

Ethernet Interface Setting There is no difference between FIQA and FIYA in the PseudoWire mode configuration. After selecting the PWE mode, the Ethernet interface for the PseudoWire connection must be selected. There are three options: • If the PseudoWire traffic is delivered to the BTS site via 100 Base-T Ethernet, you need to configure the PseudoWire mode with the EIF1 or EIF2 interface selected. • If the PseudoWire traffic is delivered to the BTS site via optical Gigabit Ethernet, you need to configure the PseudoWire mode with the EIF3 interface selected. Note that this option can only be selected if a compatible SFP module is inserted into the FIQx or FIYx. • If you select none, you can continue with the PseudoWire configuration but no Ethernet interface is taken into use. PseudoWire operation is not possible if none of the Ethernet interfaces are selected. Note that the Ethernet switching feature is supported as soon as more than one Ethernet interface is taken into use.

PseudoWire settings Before you can start configuring the PseudoWire settings, you have to select one of the eight available PseudoWires. Check that the selected PseudoWire is In Use. The PseudoWire Settings for the selected PseudoWire Interface can be set by configuring the time slots for the PW Packet Payload Map. Use the Select All, Delete and Delete All buttons to select the time slots that do not need to be allocated. Continue with the configuration: • Set the PW UDP Local Port of the Flexi MultiRadio BTS. • Set the PW UDP Peer Port of the Far-end PseudoWire device. • Set the PW Jitter Buffer Size as appropriate for the IP network conditions

PWE Tunnel Setting You can set the PWE Tunnel Settings by configuring: • The Local IP Source Address of theFlexi MultiRadio BTS • The Local IP Subnet Mask • The Peer IP Address of the Far-end PseudoWire device Optionally, you can configure: • The IP Gateway Address that is mandatory if the Local IP Source Address and the Peer IP Address are not within the same IP subnet. This means that there is at least one IP router located between the Far-end PW device and Flexi MultiRadio BTS. The IP Gateway is the first IP router seen from the Flexi MultiRadio BTS perspective. If the Local IP Source Address and the Peer IP Address are within the same IP subnet you should not specify the IP Gateway Address. • The IP header TOS field. • The ICMP mode. VLAN is a mechanism to enable traffic separation and quality of service handling. The VLAN is identified by the VLAN Id, VLAN priority bits (VLAN P-bits field) and the VLAN P-bits for ToP that are configured to handle the data streams according to their priority. The option for configuring VLAN P-bits for ToP is available only if you are using FIQB/FIYB PIUs.

Synchronization On the Sources tab, you can: • Configure the clock priority list from a list of available clock sources. You can only select one of the PseudoWire interfaces as a synchronization source. • Add or remove sources from the priority list. • Increase or decrease the priority of a source in the list. Note that if Internal Timing is part of the priority list, it has always the lowest priority. Additionally you can: • Observe the clock recovery state of each PW. • See the synchronization source actually used. • Click the i-icon left to the Clock Recovery State text to view the color code for the PW Clock Recovery State. • Press the Advanced button to select the algorithm used for the Clock Recovery. The Clock Recovery Modes are: • Mode 1 uses an averaging algorithm. • Mode 2 uses balanced wander and frequency accuracy performance. This is the default mode. • Mode 3 provided improved frequency accuracy at the cost of wander performance.

When the FIYB/FIQB plug-in units are used, there are some additional synchronization sources available. The synchronization sources specific to FIYB/FIQB are Timing over Packet (ToP) and Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE). ToP and SyncE have separate licenses. Only one among ToP, SyncE, and PseudoWires can be moved into the priority list at a time. ToP master IP address parameter becomes mandatory when ToP is moved into the priority list. When ToP or SyncE are moved to the Priority List, the 'Optional Parameters' button is displayed. The optional parameters of ToP and SyncE can be configured through the window which appears on clicking the 'Optional Parameters’ button. The ToP parameters define the synchronization message rate and time interval for measuring the rate. In the ‘Announce message rate’ field, specify the interval of receiving announce messages by ToP Slave clock from ToP master. The ‘Unicast transmission duration’ specifies the duration for which the TRS receives sync messages from the ToP master. The ‘Unicast transmission duration’ specifies the duration for which the TRS receives sync messages from the ToP master. DiffServ specifies the TOS value that is used in IP header according to the QoS needs for ToP slave. This parameter is available only in PWE/ PWE_relay mode in EX4.1. You can enable Synchronization status messages (SSM). The SSM message includes the quality level of incoming reference signals. This enhances reliability across the network for the operator and eases troubleshooting. In the Output tab, you can enable or disable the 2MHz clock output from one BTS, to be used as the synchronization source for any other connected BTS.

Abis Termination settings. There are also two check boxes for BSC Download of Abis Signal Mapping: • Enable Abis Signal Mapping. With this option, user can enable/disable the Abis Signal Mapping feature. This feature allows the BSC to dynamically provide the Abis allocations (TRXSIG, TCH, EDAP) for a BTS. The allocations are received from BSC every time the site starts or when the BCF is reset. The default value for this option is ‘disabled’. The OMUSIG must be allocated so that the BSC can communicate with the BTS. • Allow Abis Allocations from BTS Manager. With this option, user can enable/disable the Allow Abis Allocation from 2G Flexi BTS Site Manager feature. When the option is enabled, user can allocate the Abis allocations from the BTS Manager but these allocations can be overridden by the BSC. The BTS Manager displays a warning message once this option is selected. The default value for this option is ‘disabled’. These options are available in both online and offline modes.

Ethernet Monitoring Ethernet Monitoring screen enables you to specify the monitoring configuration. You can configure the monitoring state, monitoring sources, and monitoring destinations. On selecting the monitoring, arrows are displayed to indicate direction of traffic, with respect to the switch, of the interface being monitored. The monitoring destination can be the same or different for ingress and egress monitoring source. PWE/Packet Abis port is an internal port and is not used as a monitoring destination. The monitoring sources and destination can be configured without enabling the monitoring, however you will be informed of any such action, as it will not start the monitoring. Similarly, you can configure out of use interfaces or a not detected SFP (EIF3) module, but you are informed that monitoring will not start.

When user have successfully completed the commissioning and the Commissioning report is received from the BTS, the Show Report button would be enabled to view the commissioning report that is received from BTS: • Power cabling tests • Abis loop tests • TRX loop tests • EAC input tests The EAC input test is triggered once the BTS reaches supervisory state and runs for two hours during which time any changes in the state of the EAC inputs is recorded to the commissioning report. In addition, alarms are monitored for 60 seconds after the supervisory state is reached, and any alarms active during that time are also recorded to the commissioning report.
