-----
Climate change can cause a lot of bad effects for the Philippines. There are already many natural disasters happening to the Philippines such as volcano eruptions and earthquakes. With the ice caps melting and sea levels getting higher, there is a larger possibility of floods that could destroy villages and the homes of many animals.
Because much of the Philippines is rural, they need a consistent amount of rain for their crops to grow. Too much or too little can be a disaster. andslides caused by too much rain can also be a problem for those who live on and below the mountains. We need to change our actions so that we can slow down or maybe even prevent drastic climate change so that our country can survive.!
Ayon sa pelikula, may maraming problema dahil sa global warming. Mas mainit ang temperatura. !apos, may "oral blea"hing at bagyo.
"ccording to the movie, there are many problems because of global warning. The temperature is getting hotter. "lso, there is coral bleaching and typhoons. #n the movie, the Catholic Church believes that global warming is a punishment from $od. But # believe that society needs to be more responsible. "ccording to the movie, there are many easy solutions that we can do. The global community should implement progressive policy that yields permanent solutions. !
After exposing worldwide viewers to the consequences of climate change of ‘The Inconvenient Truth’ and ‘Eleventh Hour’, GA networ! started a "rea!through in #hilippine television when it released earl$ this $ear a documentar$ regarding issues of glo"al warming entitled ‘%ignos& Ang 'anta ng (ag"a"agong )lima’, narrated "$ *ichard Gutierre+, with reports from Howie %everino, a!i #ulido and *aff$ Tima And there it is, the consensus of most -ilipino scientists "elieve that the #hilippines is at the forefront of this environmental crisis
.ast $ear, I thin! it was mid/0ul$, Tullahan 'ridge which connects ala"on and 1alen+uela collapsed following a heav$ rain And it was not solel$ a"out the crac!s on the "ridge, for it was "uilt man$ $ears ago, "ut "ecause of gar"age 2hen the t$phoon came in etro anila, it produced vast floods in man$ areas including the 3aa(a1a district This area alwa$s experiences flood "ecause of "elow/sea/level land, inefficient drainage s$stems causing gar"age to clog As a result, "ul!s of trash, together with the extreme flood due to continuous rainfall, hit the low/l$ing connection and "ro!e it apart The next da$, vehicles going in and out of 1alen+uela were stranded The$ "uilt 4 foot"ridges at the sides so commuters can pass through %ince then, I reall$ had a "ad time wal!ing almost 4!ms 5ust to ta!e a "us and go to school If $ou as! how much wastes could "e enough to smash a "ridge, tr$ to see the places around Tullahan, and reali+e that it’s not hard This is mainl$ "ecause of throwing and dumping gar"age in the river’s vicinit$ If $ou wal! around, $ou will encounter streets alwa$s have trash around theirs corners #eople still put their litters even if the$ see mounts of them It happens
ever$da$, since the "ridge "ro!e until the new one if "uilt It’s almost a $ear "ut people tend to ignore Ever$da$, as the "us I’m riding passes the "ridge6 I a lwa$s notice that there are still 5un!s floating in the river or stac!ed up on the side It’s 5ust disappointing to thin! that those people near the rivers don’t !now how to dispose their wastes properl$
7ne doesn’t need to watch documentaries li!e %ignos for him to understand and reali+e what glo"al warming is all a"out 'ut this would give a little help of disseminating information to the people After watching this film, I reali+ed that residents’ discipline is still a prerequisite for preventing glo"al warming 'eing responsi"le of what $ou are doing and contri"uting to the environment is good to !now, this will ma!e $ou reali+e of the larger impacts as a whole 8ou could ma!e "ig change out of small things 2e can downgrade the rapid increasing of glo"al temperature Aside from the little things *ichard said, there are also minor things $ou could accomplish on $our own Avoid using too much plastic and st$rofoams Have $ou reali+ed that using straws is useless9 8ou are 5ust adding another non/"iodegrada"le waste in the environment And as :# Haring I"on mem"er, I’m expected to ma!e a stand for nature 2h$ not 5oin an environmental organi+ation9 I’m not inviting $ou to 5oin :# HI, "ut this is also a good step for contri"uting good examples for our planet oreover, ma!ing advocacies pro for the environment lessen harmful effects in the surroundings There are several options that require effort and sacrifice, consuming less meat means less emission of car"on dioxides in the atmosphere, according to some vegetarians %ee, it doesn’t force a person to ma!e a "ig action to sustain a living planet6 it’s a matter of choice and !nowing its outcomes All $ou have to do is ma!e a move, for the "etter and not for worst
