Scope of Work 1
MICROWAVE SYSTEM INSTALLATION, TESTING AND COMMISSIONING Microwave system comprise of following:

Radio system,

Antenna system,
•
Interfacing with other equipment,
•
NMS. The Ceragon Partner will perform the installation, commissioning and testing of the Ceragon-supplied equipment. The Desired services can be Sub-grouped into the following:
Mounting & Installation of Antenna Systems and ancillary kit on Tower(Outdoor Activity),
Connecting proper earthing & Powering the radio system,
Antenna alignment and system Testing
E1 cross connection and testing
Patching and cable routing between different transmission equipment
NMS system Integration
Site Inspection and Acceptance test.
Microwave Radio System Installation and Commissioning ( Indoor Activity),
Ceragon expects Workmanship will be as per the related specifications for each type of equipment and in accordance with telecommunications industry general standards. A schedule for installation teams will be determined, and agreed upon by Ceragon and Partner, during the project planning phase. The Ceragon Partner shall provide all the necessary installation and testing tools and equipment. List of necessary tools is as under. This list shall include but will not be limited to:
Voltmeter/ Multimeter / power meter
Tools for antenna alignment
Heat Gun,
Soldering Iron,
Tools for IDU installation
Mobile phone
Laptops
Camera
Any additional tools & tackle required to perform activity

1.1 Equipment Receiving Ceragon shall transport the microwave equipment for installation from the warehouse to the site; Ceragon Partner shall send the team or member to receive the equipment at the site. The representative of Ceragon Partner should sign the Delivery document, after the inspection and checking, in case of any damage or shortage of received items; Ceragon Partner will be responsible for equipment safety up to Acceptance. Delivery Document must have note for the shortage/ Damage if any observed at the time of delivery. Partner should intimate Circle Project Manager by SMS & mail.

1.2 Installation of Antenna Systems Ceragon Partner shall install the antenna systems, as indicated in the system documentation. Partner must check position of Pole mount along with its Diameter (suiting Antenna Diameter), Height & azimuth with Link budget (provided). All the antennas need to be in good condition after the installation, which means no damages and Partner shall take proper care to avoid colliding of antenna with tower during the implementation.
Confirm availability of Pole mount in accordance with Antenna size, Desired Height,
Azimuth planed In the Link Budget.
Unpack the antenna,
Match the Frequency, ODU parameters prior to fixing ODU with Antenna (use gasket).
Carry out assembly work as far as possible with the antenna on the ground
Set the polarization
For shielded antennas, ensure that the antenna drain-hole plugs have been removed from
the bottom of the antenna shield and that they are installed in the top
Ensure that the elevation and azimuth adjusters are set for mid travel For split-mount installations it may be practical to attach the ODU to the antenna before is
hoisted into position. For details please refer to Antenna Hoisting.
For antenna with Diameter 1.2 Mtrs & above Installation of Supporting rod supplied with
Antenna is must in accordance with the specification in the installation manual.

Labeling with Permanent Marker for panning site name/Id must be ensured
Cleaning of site for any debris in pursuant to Microwave installation.

Light weight/small but compact antennas and ODUs can be hand carried up a tower; larger Antennas and some ODUs must be winched into place and supported there while being attached to their mounting. The job should be entrusted to experienced and qualified riggers only. Persons climbing the tower should be in Good Health & under no medication. They shall use standard safety kits recommended for Tower climbing or working at heights. Similarly, hoist and winch equipment may need to be independently inspected and certified as being fit for purpose. Partner must take Utmost care and follow the procedures to ensure equipment being installed or existing equipment is not damaged, and that other working antennas are not affected. In particular:

When working around and with waveguide, ensure that it is not dented or deformed Do not hoist equipment in front of existing (operational) antennas Wind loading on the antenna can make hoisting difficult and dangerous, especially when
winds are gusting. Install only when wind velocities are low and weather conditions are expected to remain stable. Fix it to the mounting pole on the tower or to the monopole on the rooftop, ready for
panning
Changing the mounting pole if required.
The antenna should be on the proper position under the protection of lightning rod to avoid
any risk of lightning damage.
1.3 Installation of Microwave Radios and ancillary equipment (For 1+0 and 1+1 HSB/SD) Ceragon Partner shall install the Microwave Radios at the associated sites. Scope shall include but shall not be limited to following:
Hybrid coupler, ODU installation and grounding on the tower IF cable routing, weather proofing and grounding, there are three points need to be
connected to the grounding bus bar for the outdoor section, i.e, top, middle, and bottom near the wall through entry
IDU installation and grounding With DDF installation at new/ sharing sites if required.

Subcon need to clean the sites after finishing the I&C activities from the site The ODU must connect to the antenna in weather tight condition, gasket should properly seat in the groove to avoid any water seepage. The Grounding of ODU need to be done and connected below to the right bus bar on
the tower or mounting pole.
The IF cable which between ODU with IDU should be tied/ fixed neatly along the tower . The IF cables should be grounded properly according to the equipment installation specification. IDU needs to be installed in the indoor rack or cabinet. The associated DDF should preferably be installed in the same rack/cabinet above the IDU just one space reserved between
them for cabling through. The Ceragon Partner will install the DC power wiring and the grounding connection
from the bar.

1.4 Hop Testing of Microwave Radios and ancillary equipment
Power check The Ceragon Partner must check the power system before the power connectivity
for DC voltage, polarity, earth potential, after ensuring the same only, Ceragon Partner will make the power connections, power on the microwave equipment and make safety observation.
Configuration The Ceragon Partner will configure the microwave radios base on the design and
engineering document, e.g. The configuration of Tx/Rx frequencies, Tx power, T/R spacing, cards adding, E1 traffic add/Drop locally, pass-through E1 cross connection, MRMC, etc.
Antenna alignment The Ceragon Partner will do the antenna panning after completing all above activity
and configuration. Antenna must be aligned to achieve the desired Receive Signal Level (RSL) as per the specification in the link Budget. After the fine tuning, the antennas must be fixed to against specific wind-load. Antenna alignment involves adjusting the direction of each antenna until the received signal strength reaches its highest level at each end of the link. The rigger should have direct access to a receive signal strength indicator (RSSI) at the ODU. This is typically available via an RSSI connector as a voltage for measurement by a multi meter. Fine adjustment for azimuth (horizontal angle) and elevation (vertical angle) is built into each antenna mount. If the horizontal adjuster does not provide sufficient range to locate the main beam, the antenna mounting brackets will need to be loosened and the antenna swiveled on its pole mount to locate the beam. Before doing so ensure the horizontal adjuster is reset for mid-travel. For the XPIC links, the horizontal and Vertical of polarization need to be fine aligned to achieve exact cross polarization discrimination against the specification between both sites involved. Some mounts for larger antennas have a separately clamped swivel base (supporter) to allow the loosened antenna to swivel on it without fear of slippage down the pole. Where such a mount is not provided a temporary swivel clamp can often be provided using a pair of pipe brackets bolted together immediately below the antenna mount.
E1 or STM-1 performance test (BER TESTING) The Ceragon Partner will conduct the first testing and checking when all the above
items have been completed Partner shall use proper tools for punching E1 cable in the Krone block or Due care shall be taken for handling Fiber Patch cords.

1.5 NMS During the implementation of Customer Project, the NMS system of the microwave transmission network also needs to be integrated at the same pace with the hops.
The interconnection cables, Hubs, Layer-X switches or Routers for NMS at each site
which microwave links involved need to be pre-installed by the Ceragon Partner during the microwave radio’s installation. If any E1 cross connection on each hub site or cascade up link sites required, the Ceragon
Partner need to do the works before the End-to-End(from BTS through to its homing BSC) E1 checking and test; The IP address of each element need to be configured by the Ceragon Partner during the
microwave radio commissioning;
The Ceragon’ NMS Element Network Management System will be pre-installed in the
supplied NMS equipment. Field installation of the NMS interconnection cables or equipment will be completed in Turnkey basis. Any final configuration that is required will be completed and the system verified for proper operation. The facility must have adequate space, power and environmental conditions for the installation of the NMS system. 1.6 E1 Patching The Ceragon Partner must do the patching works connected up to Ceragon DDF. 1.7 Hop Up gradation. During the implementation of Customer Project, there are some hops that need upgradation as per project requirement. The Ceragon Partner shall send the team or members to the site to receive the equipment. The representative of Ceragon Partner should sign the Delivery document after the inspection. Subcon should do the physical inspection of the received equipment and take over the responsibility for safety. Before up gradation of the existing hops, Partner should confirm and approve the power off procedure. Partner should perform Hardware functionality checks like status of the Equipment and the same should be documented If any Hardware is faulty or alarm is observed the same needs to be documented in the Inspection check report and highlighted. In addition, Inspection check report should be signed jointly. Removed equipments should not be damaged and should be safely handed over to Ceragon/End User Representative duly packed. Different types of Hop up gradations are as below: -

ODU up gradation: - In ODU up gradation low capacity ODU’s are to be replaced with High
capacity ODU’s. The newly installed ODU should connect to the antenna in weather tight condition, gasket shall fit on properly. The Grounding of ODU need to be done and connect below to the right bus bar on the tower or mounting pole. IDU need to re-configured if required.

IDU up gradation: - In IDU up-gradation low capacity IDU’s are to be replaced with High
capacity IDU’s. New IDU need to be installed in the indoor rack or cabinet. The associated DDF also need to be installed preferably in the same rack/cabinet above the IDU just one space reserved between them for cabling through. IDU need to re-configured.

1+0 to 1+1 hops up gradation: - 1+0 hops will be converted to 1+1 hops. One Hybrid
coupler, ODU, IF cable and IDU need to be installed as per standard procedure. IDU need to reconfigure. 4.
Capacity Up gradation: - Capacity of links needs to be upgraded as per design parameters.
In capacity up gradation the IDU configuration parameters (Frequency, Modulation, and power) need to be re configured. After, Hop Up gradation, its subcon responsibility to do the E1 patching, if required.

.2 TESTING AND ACCEPTANCE The Ceragon Partner shall do the BER testing witnessing Customer and Ceragon on the site. The test duration should be 24 hours for 23GHz/18GHz/15GHz/11GHz/7GHz access hops, 48 hours for 11GHz/7GHz backhaul links (Subject to customer requirements). Upon completion of the testing, Ceragon shall be notified of the completion and the requirement for acceptance. The notification will be made 48 hours in advance of the planned acceptance. On successful conclusion of the hop acceptance, which will include a physical inspection of the installation and the review of the test data, customer representative will be presented with an Acceptance Certificate for signature. In case Punch points are found requiring further work, or correction, same must be cleared within 48 Hrs. Partner shall arrange for Provisional & Final Acceptance shall be arrange from End customer with the help of Ceragon Representative
3. AS-BUILT DOCUMENTATION Ceragon Partner will provide the Site Commissioning Report (SCR) (Original + 1 copy [Soft Copy in CD]). The SCR will include:

Part no. & serial nos. of Equipment installed at site.
Photos of the installed equipment
General Configuration of the Contractor-installed equipment.
Site layout and details.
