Consonants combined with “ဝ ” (all of them are in different colors) are quite di fferent from any other combinations when
ႛ it comes to pronunciation. For example, ွ -- in “ဂွ , ွ , ယွ , ဟွ” is pronounced as “ei” when add other symbols to them: ဂွႛ ွ ံ ံ “neim”, ယွႛ ႛ “yay” with a glottal stop after, and ဟွႛ ႛ “hay” with a is pronounced as “gay” with a glottal stop after, ွ ႛ and သွႛ ႛ which are pronounced “chaw” and glottal stop after it. Note: အိ ’ ဵ (vowel combination) but both are still used in a bit different diff erent way, especially by some Mons ုဝ်ဝ ် now becomes ‘ အဵ အ ု’ (vowel in Monland. Basically, these two words are all the same in reality - အိ ုဝ်ဝ ် is old use and အဵ ု is used now. But now when they two are used in a text, the former is pronounced as ‘o’ and the latter ‘aw’ or ‘ay’. It’s still quite hard to say what makes them different because they are supposed to be the same.

Note: instead of adding the t he killer after the related relat ed consonants or vowels ှ - ် is usually written as ှ-- ် ’ in which ှ-- is maybe the killer itself and -and - ် the diacritical mark. But the whole can be said as a killer according to the writing rules ( အာ အ် ာ and
ေအာ ် are exceptions.) For an example, ဒဒှ ် can be pronounced as ‘dadh’ but that’s not correct – it should be only ‘da dauh’ which can be written ‘ ဒဒဟ ဒဒဟ် ’ for better understanding Mon writing rules. For another example, when it says ‘choh’, it’d better be written as ‘ ေစာဟ ’ not ‘ ‘ ေစှ ’ ် which can also be read ‘chok’ as in ‘ ေစာ ေစာဟ် ’ not ေစှာ်ာ’ which ေစာ ် ’ ’. It’s still a problem – many people are more likely to prefer -prefer ှ -’ to -- ဟ် with no sound reasons. This could be the best creation for Mon writing ် ’ to at the age of inscriptions but not now at the age of IT. In fact, ှ -’ is basically written as ‘--ဟ် ’ even ’ even now. ေစ + ် ာ = = ေစာ ် ေစှ + ် ာ = = ေစှာ်ာ ် But, ’ /chok/. ေစာ ် is pronounced as ‘ ေစာက ေစာက် ’ /chok/. So,
ေစှာ်ာ ် should ေစှာက ာက် ’ /chok/ should also be pronounced as ‘ ေစှ ’ /chok/ (same with aspiration.) ေစှာ်ာ’ might စာဟ် > ေစှာ ာ -- ် > ေစှာ်ာ. ် ေစာ ် might be in the process of ေ စာက စာက် > (The revolution of ‘ of ‘ ေစှ ’ ် might be in the process of ေ စာဟ ေစာ -- ် > ေစာ ် . In ေစှာ်ာ ် the killer ‘ ဟ ’ has ေစာ ် ’ the killer ‘ ဟ ’ has been included as ှ -- just below the consonant but in ‘ ေစာ ’ the killer ‘ဟ’ had ် has been put above of the vowel combination ‘-- ာ ’ ’. Both contractions had been created by been omitted and only -- former Mon language users maybe for the reason of saving space in their writings on stone or i nk inscription.)
