FADE IN: YRF logo FADE OUT: EXT. OUTSIDE VILE PARLE STATION. BOMBAY -- NIGHT After hours. Not much commuter traffic coming out of the station. From this tiny trickle flows out A YOUNG MAN, levelling a holdall on his shoulder. CUT TO: EXT. VILE PARLE MARKET. BOMBAY -- NIGHT Market is closed for the day. Shut shops. Half open shutters. Servants cleaning the floors with brooms, throwing torn carton, unusable polythenes and tapes out. The Young Man walks up to one of the shutters. at him.
The servant looks
YOUNG MAN Bansuri seth kidhar hai? The servant points inside. the shop.
The Young Man bends down and enters
INT. SHOP. VILE PARLE MARKET -- NIGHT The shop is of imported electronics, toiletries, sunglasses, sweets, chocolates and everything under the sun. Shelf after shelf is full of imported household products. The Young Man walks past the shop to a back door. More shelves. More products. Few of the staff members inside, who are counting the money or the arranging the inventory neatly smile or nod at the Young Man. A sticker above the cash counter innocently says WE DO NOT ACCEPT CARDS. CUT TO: INT. SHOP. ANOTHER SECTION -- NIGHT The backdoor leads the Young Man to some kind of an enclosure within the market. He climbs a tiny fleet of metal stairs and reaches a room. INT. ROOM -- NIGHT The Young Man comes inside after knocking. A MIDDLE AGED MAN, sitting alone, looks at him. This is Bansuri Seth - a docile man, with thin voice and very modest clothing. YOUNG MAN Ke haal hai Bansuri Seth...
2. BANSURI SETH Bas gaadi chale hai dhande ki kisi tarah bhaya. Kitna laaya? The Young Man puts the bag on the table and opens the zip. YOUNG MAN Meri ginti mein solah peti pachattar hazaar saat sau baasath rupaye nikla hai. Aap ginoge toh meri ginti mein ek aadhi galti toh niklegi hi. (smiles) Marwari se achchi ginti kaun kar sakta hai. Bansuri Seth reaches for the bag and spreads its mouth wide open. Then he puts his hand inside and starts taking out the MONEY. All crumpled, untidy notes. Not bundled together as per the denomination. BANSURI SETH Baith bhaya... Bansuri Seth takes the rubberband off one lot and separates the notes. 500...100... 50... The Young Man pulls a chair in the meanwhile and sits down. He rubs his fingers together and makes a face. BANSURI SETH (CONT'D) Saaf toh karva ke laya kar. Saara gard...cocaine paudar...sab laga rehta hai noton par... YOUNG MAN Maal lene wale se liya hai yeh paisa...us wakt is haath de...iss haath le...fatafat...kaun khayal rakhta hoga kya laga reh gaya note pe... BANSURI SETH Do number ke paise ke saath pakda gaya toh phir bhi bach jayega...kisi ne note ka postmortem kiya ne...aur yeh...yeh safed paudar nikala ne...toh lamba andar jave-ga... Bansuri Seth starts arranging the bundles into separate notes. CUT TO: INT. SHOP. CASH COUNTER -- LATER The Young Man comes to the cash counter and shows a slip to THE MAN there. He looks at the slip and opens a drawer. Then one by one he places the thin bundles of big notes on the counter in THREE DIFFERENT CURRENCIES. The Young Man pockets those thin bundles. fit into his jacket pocket.

3. He then walks out of the half open shutter, minus his holdall. FADE OUT: FADE IN: Opening credits begin with music. A 30 sec V.O. announces brief facts about Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). RECAP: Opening Credits end FADE OUT: EXT. RUNWAY. INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. BOMBAY -- PRE DAWN An AIRPLANE touches down with an aeronautical sneeze. CUT TO: EXT. OUTSIDE. INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. BOMBAY -- PRE DAWN Musa comes out of ARRIVALS gate. Present with him on the Indian soil right now is the African, Zubeydah Ali. A PRIVATE CAR pulls up to the gate. get in.

EXT. FACTORY PLANT. MANALI -- PRE DAWN The board saying BHIM SINGH FRUIT PRODUCTS stands silently on the high wall. Down below, Mahendra and Brinda are crouching low against the wall, walking slowly along its side. From his backpack, Mahendra pulls out two hand-towels and ties them around his hands. He then jumps, his fingers catching the edge of the wall. The towel protects his hand from the cut glass sticking out of the wall. Brinda looks at Mahendra while he looks across the wall. Mahendra lets go of his hands and jumps down, without making a sound. Then sits down and picks a twig. rectangular layout of the plant.
On the ground he draws a simple
Brinda follows it with her eyes.
None of them saying a word.
Finished drawing, Mahendra looks at Brinda. both check, recheck their guns.
Brinda nods.
They
Then leaving their backpacks under a bush, they jump and climb ACROSS the wall. And drop themselves silently down, behind a few apple shrubs. They look around.
4. Main gate is closed.
Manned by an armed sentry.
Most of the plant is in dark. Two sections have light on in them. No one is walking in and out of the plant. Mahendra points to left. Brinda nods. runs to right and Mahendra to left.
Crouching low, Brinda CUT TO:
EXT. SHED. FACTORY -- PRE DAWN Brinda comes running under the shed and hides behind a wall. She catches her breath. Looks around for anything or anybody she has alarmed. CUT TO: EXT. OUTSIDE PLANT -- PRE DAWN Mahendra reaches the wall of the plant. He walks, pressing himself against the wall taking each step slow and cautious. He eyes A DOOR. BACK TO: BRINDA She turn and sees A BLACK DOG growling at her in the dark. animal, in spite of being tied looks fierce.
The
Brinda looks around, fearing that the dog will raise an alarm. The dog is letting out angry growls, waiting to explode. Brinda shhhhs the dog. Her had stretched towards it, she takes one step towards the dog. Then another. All the while calmly letting out shhhs from her mouth. She sits down next to the dog, placing her hand on the dog's head. Growls slowly fade under her touch. Brinda looks around for any possible passerby. Her other hand ready to pull her gun out any moment. Her eyes spots a door across the shed. BACK TO: MAHENDRA Mahendra turns to the door and looks around. His eyes looking around. His hand feeling the door for any locks. He gives a slow cautious push to the door. The door opens. BACK TO: BRINDA Comes through the open door.
5. INT. SHED. ROOM -- PRE DAWN The shed is dark inside. She slowly and soundlessly closes the door behind her. From her pocket she takes out a small pen shaped spotlite. Pointing its beam downwards she CLICKS it on. She points it up. Puts her finger on its tip, blocking the light beam. Then releases it. Then blocks it again. Releases it again and the beam falls on two tortured and beaten figures - Khemka Prasad and the Female Foreigner who was abducted (Episode 8). CUT TO: INT. FACTORY PLANT -- PRE DAWN Mahendra walks through the semi-dark room. In a far corner somewhere a lone bulb has been left on. The workers seem to be taking a break somewhere outside. Mahendra, cautious enough not to hit or trip on anything accidentally, looks around and all he sees is packaged bottles of jams, fruit products, pulps, cocktails. He reaches another door to the end of the room. The door through which we had Raja and the other Man walking through in Episode 8. The light behind the door is on. Mahendra puts his ear on the door. Distinct voices are coming from the other side. Mahendra sits down and puts his eye to a hole in the door. P.O.V. FACTORY PLANT -- PRE DAWN Raja and his associate are in some indistinct conversation. The associate (Episode 8) is showing him the packing of cannabis resin inside the jam bottles. Mahendra watches.
Not blinking and almost not breathing.
And A HAND on his shoulder stops his breath further. He slowly turns and sees Brinda. Mahendra's fear turns into anger. Brinda opens her mouth to say something. Mahendra sharply puts his fingers to her lips and gestures with his free hand 'there are people behind this door.' He lets her lips be and grabs her arm, just above her elbow. And pulls her aside. MAHENDRA (hisses) Marvana hai kya? BRINDA Woh...woh aadmi hai... MAHENDRA (unblinking) Kaun aadmi?
6. BRINDA Anuj ka informer. Kehmka Prasad. Yahan hai. In logon ne pakad rakha hai... MAHENDRA Bhaad mein gaya Anuj ka informer. Us darwaze ke peeche Raja hai. Aur uske haath mein itna charas hai ki bees saal ke liye andar jaa sakta hai... BRINDA Khemka akela nahin hai. Uske saath ek foreigner ko bhi pakad rakha hai in logon ne... MAHENDRA Charsi hogi... BRINDA Reporter hai...National Geographic... MAHENDRA Toh? BRINDA Nahin bachaya...toh woh maar diye jayenge...aaj subah.... Mahendra looks at Brinda with hatred. with temptation.
Then he looks at the door CUT TO:
INT. RAGHAV'S ROOM. DAGDI CHAWL -- PRE DAWN Through the window, local train station is seen. Julie is sitting near the window. Seems like it's her favorite place. Raghav is sitting on the bed. His eyes study her as his hands light a cigarette for himself. Julie, with her back towards Raghav, stares at the train station far away. RAGHAV
(O.S.)
Kya soch rahi hai? JULIE (without turning to him) Raat mein kitna shaant lagta hai na station. Aise jaise akela chodd diya kisi ne isse. Par kuch hi ghanton mein yahan mela lag jayega logon ka...har kone...mein ghustepiste log...logon ki bheed... Raghav gets out of the bed. Slowly walks to her. He places his hand on her head. She still sits turned away from him.
7. RAGHAV Main jab andar tha logon ne bahut pareshaan kiya na tujhe... JULIE (shakes her head) Sab theek hi raha tere peeche... She gives him a fake smile.
He takes it for genuine.
RAGHAV Aur woh police wala...Mahendra...usne toh tang nahin kiya? JULIE Uss jaisa police wala meri jaise call-girl mein kya interest lega...uski toh duty charas gaanja pakadne ki hai...call girls pakadne ki nahin... RAGHAV Police wale sab ek jaise hote hain....Selva ko bahut peeche pada raha woh...khair...kisi aur ki kya baat karni... He sits down, next to her. RAGHAV (CONT'D) (puts his arm around her) Apni baat karte hain...itne time baad jo mile hain... She looks at him. A DOOR KNOCK distracts them. stops short of cursing under his breath.

RAGHAV (CONT'D) Kaun hai? SELVA
(O.S.)
Main hoon bhau. Raghav gets up and grabs his kurta from the hook. Wearing his kurta, he opens the door. Selva looks at him and then from the corner of his eye he notices Julie. Selva gestures Raghav to step out. INT. CHAWL CORRIDOR -- PRE DAWN Raghav does so and closes the door. aside.
Selva pulls him a little
SELVA Ansari ka godown dekha main... Raghav stops midway pulling a drag from his cigarette. RAGHAV Yedeya...tu akele Ansari ka peecha kar raha tha...
8. SELVA Kuch kaam tha... RAGHAV Tu jaanta nahin hai usse...mat kario aagey se... Raghav is about to turn back.
Selva stops him.
SELVA Bhau. Maine bas khabar aagey dena tha. Kuch kaam tha. Lekin khabar kaam ka nikla isiliye tere paas laya hoon... RAGHAV Ansari ke godown ka khabar? SELVA Sirf yehi nain bhau...khabar hai ki Ansari ka uske supplier se kuch mach-mach hua hai. Woh supplier idhar aaya hai. Bambai. Mandvali karne... Raghav keeps listening, his drags getting longer. SELVA (CONT'D) Ansari ke godam pe abhi haath maarte hain toh sorf maal nahin jayega uska...ijjat bhi jayega saale ka... Raghav is very still. CUT TO: EXT. SHED. FACTORY -- PRE DAWN The door, where Brinda had gone and found the two captives. MAHENDRA (O.S.) Mujhe kuch theek nahin lag raha hai... BRINDA
(O.S.)
Mujhe bhi... MAHENDRA AND BRINDA Away from the door. options.
Hiding under the shed are weighing their
MAHENDRA Tumhe theek nahin lag raha is liye mujhe bhi marvaa rahi ho...hai na... She nods 'yes.'
Her nod makes him smile. MAHENDRA (CONT'D)
Apna gun do... She takes her gun out from her waist and hands it. thrusts it in his pant.

9. MAHENDRA (CONT'D) Jis raste aaye the...deewar kood ke...wahan se wapas chali jao...bag uthana...aur seedha police station jaana...unhe apna NCB card dikhana aur... (points out) Main gate pe leke aana... (looks at her) Main un dono ko main gate se bahar leke aaonga... BRINDA Main gate? MAHENDRA Ab dono ko kandhe pe utha ke deewar se toh kood nahin sakta... Brinda looks at the main gate. Armed sentry is manning it. sentry is alert. The gate is locked. Brinda looks back at Mahendra. Main gate se..

BRINDA Pakka...
MAHENDRA (smiles) Aam ya seb nahin hain...jo kachche-paake honge...jao...aur police ko laane mein late mat karna... Brinda nods and turns, about to run. her face closer to his.
He grabs her arm.

MAHENDRA (CONT'D) Agar koi gadbad hui toh...Bombay mein Usmaan aur Krishnan ke saamne mujhe baat karne dena...apna munh mat kholna... BRINDA Kitni badi gadbad? MAHENDRA Bas itni badi na ho ki Usmaan aur Krishnan ke saamne bolne ke liye zinda hi na rahoon... She nods again. grip stops him.
He is about to sprint to the shed. She pulls his face closer to hers.
Her firm
BRINDA Marna mat....... They keep looking at each other.
Their faces close...
BRINDA (CONT'D) Please... Their faces part. Her fingers unwrap from his arm.
10. He runs away, crouching low. She sees him going away. wall.
Not looking back even for a second.
Then turns and runs away towards the CUT TO:
EXT. MANALI. VILLAGE IN HILLS -- DAWN A rooster croaks. Man 1 (Brinda and Mahendra's guide) walk to their hut and knocks on the door. The door opens with sharp knocking. He peeps inside. The hut is empty. His so-called clients are gone. And so is there luggage. The wall made of carton boxes stands in the middle of the hut like some vague erection. Man 1 runs away from the hut. And runs to some of the other huts, knocking on the doors and calling names to gather people. The doors start to open. CUT TO: INT. CHAWL CORRIDOR -- DAWN The doors start to open as Selva quietly walks from one door to another and taps on them Four men come out, wearing their shirts, chappals, one even comes out tucking his gun in his baniyan. As they come out they Raghav standing in the middle of the corridor, waiting for his men. Like a captain before the match. Raghav's gravity draws them closer. CUT TO: EXT. OUTSIDE TAJ MAHAL HOTEL -- DAWN Taj Mahal hotel. CUT TO: INT. SUITE. TAJ MAHAL HOTEL -- DAWN Ansari is sitting opposite Zubeydah and Musa. ANSARI (looking them in eye) Agar mujhe dhanda chalana nahin aata...toh aap dhanda karna kyun chahte ho mere saath...jaaiye uske paas jo aapko maal ke mere se achcha import-export kar sake...
11. MUSA (pacifying) Naved...main aur Zubeydah bhai tujhe yahi toh batlane aaye hain ki hum bahut khush hain tere kaam se...kisi aur ke saath dhanda karne ka sawaal hi paida nahin hota... ANSARI Khush hain mere kaam se...isiliye mujhe har baar apni kaabliyat ka saboot dena padta hai? Baar-baar. Dilli mein aapka aadmi pakda gaya. Usme mera kya kasoor.... ZUBEYDAH (subtitled) You came all the way to us. To tell us how good you are. Now show us how good you are. Musa looks at Zubeydah.
Then reluctantly translates for Ansari.
ANSARI Maine dikha diya main kya kar sakta hoon. Aapka paisa doobne wala tha. Aapne Jagat Tripathi ko diya tha. Maine nahin. Uske marne ke baad...jo kaam uski party ke log nahin kar sake...woh maine kiya...aap logon ke liye...paisa aapke aadmi ke haath tak pahunchaya... ZUBEYDAH (subtitled) That's not our understanding. You said from active trading you want to get into insurance business. You laid your rate. We agreed. Now we faced a loss. You compensate. Ansari looks at Zubeydah. ANSARI Theek hai. Main muyawaza deta hoon. Chahe biwi ke zewar girvi rakhne paden lekin...aapka nuksaan mere sar...lekin iske baad mujhe apne saath dhanda karne ke liye mat kehna... Ansari stands.
Musa looks up. MUSA
Naved... Ansari turns. ANSARI Maine mana kiya tha kya ki main nuksaan poora nahin karoonga? Nahin na. Seedha bolte nuksaan ki bharpai karo aur Dubai shift ho jao...main khushi-khushi paise deta...lekin inhone ne tab bola ki nuksaan bhoolne ko taiyaar hain...ab bolte hain...
12. Not wanting to continue any further Ansari shakes his head and picks his briefcase from the floor. He turns to Musa one last time. ANSARI (CONT'D) Main kaabil na sahi. Par inki tarah dogla nahin hoon. Ansari leaves.
Walks to the door and opens it. CUT TO:
EXT. SHED. ROOM -- DAWN The door opens. Mahendra is wheeling out a wooden hand cart that is used to move the fruit-product boxes around. Lying on the cart are half-conscious Khemka Prasad and the Foreigner Woman. Mahendra has a rag cloth tied to his head, concealing his colored hair and looking like a worker of the plant. He wheels the cart to the gate. The sentry stops him. SENTRY Kaun hai tu? Mahendra feigns local accent. MAHENDRA Subah wali shift ka hoon... SENTRY Toh raat mein yahan kya kar raha hai? shift toh 6 baje chalu hogi na....
Teri
MAHENDRA Jake us kameene se poocho jo Bambe se yahan aaya hai. Aur humein double-triple shift karna pad raha hai uski wajah se...upar se yeh kaam aur de diya... (re; handcart) Ki inko Beas mein phenk ke aayo... Sentry looks at the people on cart and then at Mahendra. SENTRY In dono ne bola kuch...bataya kiske liye kaam karte hain...koi aur bhi saath hai ya nahin... Mahendra shakes his head. MAHENDRA Na re bhaiya...in dono ne toh kuch nahin bola. Lekin tumhe kisi ne factory mein bataya nahin...humein inhe aur maal ko yahan se jaldi nikalna hoga... SENTRY Kyu?
13. MAHENDRA Aaj yahan din mein police ka chapa padne wala hai...ja re bhaiya...andar jake bakiyon ki madad kar de... There is a sudden urgency in sentry. He opens the gate for Mahendra. Mahendra wheels the cart out. The sentry closes the gate and rushes towards the factory. EXT. OUTSIDE FACTORY. MAIN GATE -- DAWN Mahendra stops the wheel cart and looks around. Brinda.
No sign of
He sees an idling jeep. Mahendra leaves the cart. to the jeep. No keys in ignition.
And rushes
He bends in. Below the steering. His fingers touches a few wires. A commotion is heard inside the factory. Mahendra rushes back to the cart and wheels it closer to the jeep. He lifts groaning Khemka Prasad and puts him in the backseat. Then he lifts the woman and does the same. He rushes to the front and neutralizes the gear. Mahendra looks at the hilly road ahead. It sloping down. Mahendra takes both the guns out and places them on the passenger seat. He steps down from the jeep and starts pushing it towards the road, his hand keeping the steering in balance. Behind him the gate opens. The workers rush out along with the Raja's associate. The jeep reaches the hilly slope. Men from factory run after the jeep. The jeep starts to roll on it's own. Mahendra hops in. His hands gripped on the wheel, he turns around and sees the people chasing him. Mahendra picks up a gun from the passenger seat and fires at the chasing crowd. The people get scared.
Get scattered.
Mahendra looks ahead. CUT TO: EXT. HILLY ROAD. MANALI -- DAWN Brinda is in the jeep with a couple of armed local policemen. CUT TO: EXT. ANOTHER HILLY ROAD -- DAWN Another jeep cuts past Mahendra's jeep. In that jeep are the villagers. They notice him and turn the jeep around. Take their guns out.
14. Gunshots echo behind Mahendra. shots are coming from behind.
He turns to look behind.
The
Mahendra looks front and sees a sharp bend. He swirls the steering around to protect the bend. Gun falls to the floor from the seat. Mahendra curses. Looks back. The other jeep is catching up with Mahendra's free rolling jeep. Gun shots. CUT TO: EXT. OUTSIDE ANSARI'S GODOWN -- DAWN Gun shots. bullets.
Raghav and his men blow the lock out with their
They enter the godown. INT. INSIDE ANSARI'S GODOWN -- DAWN Raghav and his men enter the godown. They look around. Packs and packages all around. Raghav gestures his men 'go ahead.' The men disperse around. Raghav remains at the door. Behind him the dark parting of the open door slowly begins to light up bright, like a halo. EXT. MANALI -- MORNING The sun has risen behind the coniferous trees. EXT. HILLY ROAD. MANALI -- MORNING The other jeep is on the heels of Mahendra's jeep. fires back. More gunshots come from the jeep.
Mahendra
Mahendra fires again. He's ran out of bullets. He throws his gun aside. And presses the accelerator out of habit in desperation. The other jeep almost drives up next to Mahendra's. Mahendra turns the steering wheel fully to left. The jeep turns and leaving the road it goes down the hilly slide, almost in a nose dive. The other jeep stops with a skid. EXT. HILLY ROAD. ANOTHER SECTION -- MORNING Mahendra's jeep comes down to the road head on shattering the headlights and crushing the bonnet. Then it falls on its side. Mahendra gets thrown on the road. The jeep drives up to him and brakes frantically. The police jeep, with Brinda in it. The driving constable misses running Mahendra down by inches.
15. The villagers notice the police jeep from the road above. turn around and drive back.
They
Brinda jumps down the police jeep and comes running to Mahendra. He is lying on the road, with his leg twisted at an abnormal angle. Brinda's face comes above him. at the jeep.
Mahendra feeble smiles and points
Brinda comes rushing to Mahendra's jeep. Khemka Prasad and the Woman are lying there on the road. Bleeding. Unconscious. BRINDA (screams) AMBULANCE! Mahendra looks at her. Then rests his head on the road, looking skywards. Mahendra passes out. It's a bright day. CUT TO: EXT. VILE PARLE MARKET. BOMBAY -- DAY Ashwani Khanna gets off his car and closes the door. at shop that we saw in the beginning of the episode.

INT. SHOP. VILE PARLE MARKET -- DAY Ashwani gets inside the shop. People all over noisily asking for some imported commodity or other. TV sets playing. DVD demos being given. I Pods. The whole place is crowded like a trade fair. Ashwani finds Bansuri Seth behind the cash counter - sitting and counting money like any normal shopkeeper. Bansuri Seth looks at Ashwani and smiles whole heartedly. BANSURI SETH Aawo ne Ashwani bhai... ASHWANI Kem che Bansuri Seth? BANSURI SETH Maja ma...aye kuch chai...paani.. ASHWANI Nahin Seth... BANSURI SETH Toh lassi le lo...hain lassi... ASHWANI Na...
Thanda....
16. BANSURI SETH (before Ashwani could refuse) Chotu lassi la. Ek... Chotu, the servant, whom we saw sweeping the floor in the beginning rushes out. BANSURI SETH (CONT'D) Aur hukum karo malik...kuch DVD...TV...Dack... ASHWANI (smiles) Jo yeh sab samaan lene aati thi woh toh ab alag ho gayi...samaan bhi saath ke gayi aur mota rokda bhi... BANSURI SETH Talaak bado ghato ko dhando hai malik...shaving kit bataoon...imported...kuch toaster...kya hai akele main bahut mein kaam aata hai...bread daala...nikaal diya...aur bhi item hai fatafat akele aadmi ka khana banane ke liye... Ashwani almost laughs up. ASHWANI Samaan lene phir kabhi aaoonga...abhi toh kaam se aaya hoon... BANSURI SETH Kaam? Bansuri suudenly shrinks. ASHWANI Andar chalen zara... Bansuri nods reluctantly. CUT TO: INT. ROOM -- DAY The same room where Bansuri Seth was counting cash and sorting money in the morning. Ashwani is sitting with a glass of lassi in his hand. ASHWANI Aaj kal kiska kaam zyada kar rahe ho Seth... BANSURI SETH Kaam ka zyada kam kya hai malik...electronics...imported bag...
17. ASHWANI Dukaan ka nahin pooch raha...aapke foreign exchange ke dhande ka pooch raha hoon...unlicensed money changer Bansuri Seth... Bansuri shrinks again.
Music stops.

EXT. AGARIPADA LANE -- LATE EVENING Jagdale and Selva see Ansari walking away from the PCO. JAGDALE Toh yeh hai iska phone karne ka adda...isiliye na apne paas mobile rakhta hai...na pager... EXT. TERRACE. AGARIPADA -- LATE EVENING Kartik's hiding place, from where he used to observe Ansari's house and his vehicles. Usmaan and Kartik watch Ansari as he walks to his building. Ansari gets inside his channel gate. The guard locks it. Usmaan looks at Kartik. USMAAN Iss area mein kitne aise PCO honge? KARTIK Pandrah ke aas-paas. Kal subah tak exact location aur unke phone numbers pata laga loonga. USMAAN (nods) Ansari sirf yehi PCO use nahin karta hoga. Area uska hai. Yahan jitne bhi PCO hain. Sab uske business phone honge... KARTIK Kab kis number se phone karne wala hai. Ya kis number pe aane wala - iss pattern ka pata lagane mein time lagega sir. 38. EXT. AGARIPADA. BACK LANE -- LATE EVENING Usmaan and Kartik come out of the rear exit of the building that opens up into a quiet street. There is a BMC notice board on the building, saying that THIS BUILDING IS HAZARDOUS AND IS RISKY TO VENTURE IN, HENCE VACATED. Usmaan and Kartik get into Kartik's car.
Their car pulls away.
Few moments later another car pulls up. The window rolls down. Ashwani Khanna is sitting inside the car, watching Kartik's car rolling away. Once Kartik's car is out sight, Ashwani gets off from his car and closes the door. He looks at the building that BMC has declared hazardous. CUT TO: EXT. SAME TERRACE -- MOMENTS LATER Ashwani is standing there, looking down from the hiding point. Ansari's building is in front of him. Ashwani keeps looking at it. INT. ANSARI'S ROOM -- NIGHT A FEW MEN enter Ansari's room.
Ansari and Wasim look at them.
ANSARI Pata laga? One of the men nods. MAN 1 Dagdi chaal wala Raghu do din pehle jail se choota hai. Ansari do not blinks. MAN 1 (CONT'D) Uska aur uske aadmiyon ka kaam hai. Ansari nods. ANSARI Jab tak main nahin boloon koi kuch nahin karega...Raghu aur uske ladkon ko aise lagne do ki humein kuch pata hi nahin chala... MEN Ji...ji bhai... Ansari gestures them to leave.
The men exit one by one.
ANSARI (to Wasim) Tu bhi ja...
39. WASIM Lekin aap... ANSARI Main theek hoon...ja... Wasim slowly leaves his seat.

Ansari remains sitting motionless for a while. His eyes not blinking much, not moving either. His mind must be racing though. His hand then reaches for his drawer. The drawer opens. The gun inside stares back again at Ansari. Ansari stares back at the gun. His hand reaches for it and slowly lifts the gun. He brings the gun out and unloads it. Then reloads it. Then unloads again dropping the magazine out. The reloads again. Then unloads. Then in sheer frustration and anger he slams his fists on his desk. Once. Twice. His mouth open to scream. But his throat suppresses it. His hand kicks the stuff from the table away. face
From Ansari's DISSOLVE TO:
EXT. WATERFRONT -- NIGHT Isolated waterfront. Raghav and his men have tied the tarpaulin around some gunny sacks to make them waterproof. They tie the rope around the tarpaulin, while Raghu looks on. Once done, they tie the rope to a hook on the ground and drop the sacks inside the water. Selva walks up beside Raghav.
Raghav looks at him.
RAGHAV Kahan gayab tha subah se? SELVA Ek pehchaan wale ko milne gaya tha bhau. RAGHAV Tujhe maloom hai na itna bada lafda kiya hum logon ne. Ansari ko pata lag gaya hoga ki main jail se aa gaya hai.
