PLANTMO USER Manual Version 3 License Agreement Licensor: ECE Solutions, LLC. 703 Wheeling Road, Mount Prospect, IL 60056 ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS OF AGREEMENT BY THE USER YOU SHOULD CAREFULLY READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE USING THIS PROGRAM. USING THIS PROGRAM INDICATES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. The enclosed proprietary encoded materials, hereinafter referred to as the Licensed Program(s), are the property of ECE Solutions LLC, hereinafter referred to as ECE, and are provided to you under the terms and conditions of this License Agreement. You assume responsibility for the selection of the appropriate Licensed Program(s) to achieve the intended results, and for the installation, use, and results obtained from the selected Licensed Program(s).

License Grant In return for the payment of the license fee associated with the acquisition of the Licensed Program(s) from ECE, ECE hereby grants you the following non‐exclusive rights with regard to the Licensed Program(s): 1. Use of the Licensed Program(s) on one machine. 2. To transfer the Licensed Program(s) and license it to a third party if the third party acknowledges in writing its agreement to accept the Licensed Program(s) under the terms and conditions of this License Agreement; if you transfer the Licensed Program(s), you must at the same time either transfer all copies whether printed or in machine‐readable form to the same party or destroy any copies not so transferred; the requirement to transfer and/or destroy copies of the Licensed Program(s) contained or merged into other programs. You agree to reproduce and include the copyright notice as it appears on the Licensed Program(s) on any copy, modification, merged portion of the Licensed Program(s). THE LICENSE DOES NOT GIVE YOU ANY RIGHT TO USE, MODIFY, OR TRANSFER THE LICENSED PROGRAM(S) OR ANY COPY, MODIFICATION, OR MERGED PORTION THEREOF, IN WHOLE OR IN PART, EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED IN THIS LICENSED AGREEMENT. IF YOU TRANSFER POSSESSION OF ANY COPY, MODIFICATION, OR MERGED PORTION OF THE LICENSED PROGRAM(S) TO ANOTHER PARTY, THE LICENSE GRANTED HEREUNDER TO YOU IS AUTOMATICALLY TERMINATED.

Term This License Agreement is effective upon acceptance and use of the Licensed Program(s) until terminated in accordance with the terms of this License Agreement. You may terminate the License Agreement at any time by destroying the Licensed Program(s) together with all copies, modifications, and merged portions thereof in any form. This License Agreement will also terminate upon conditions set forth elsewhere in this Agreement or automatically in the event you fail to comply with any term or condition of this License Agreement. You hereby agree upon such termination to destroy the Licensed Program(s) together with all copies, modifications, and merged portions thereof in any form.

Limited Warranty The Licensed Program(s), i.e. the tangible proprietary software, is provided, "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED AND EXPLICITLY EXCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the Licensed Program(s) is with you. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of limited warranties, and, in those jurisdictions the above exclusions may not apply. This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from one jurisdiction to another. ECE does not warrant that the functions contained in the Licensed Program(s) will meet your requirements or that the operation of the program will be uninterrupted or error free. ECE does warrant, however, that the CD‐ROM, i.e. the tangible physical medium on which the Licensed Program(s) is furnished, to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of delivery to you as evidenced by a copy of your receipt.

PLANTMO USER Manual Version 3 ECE warrants that any program errors will be fixed by ECE, at ECE's expense, as soon as possible after the problem is reported and verified. However, only those customers current on their annual subscription contracts are eligible to receive the corrected version of the program.

Entire Agreement This written Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties concerning the Licensed Program(s). No agent, distributor, salesman, or other person acting or representing themselves to act on behalf of ECE has the authority to modify or supplement the limited warrant contained herein, nor any of the other specific provisions of this Agreement, and no such modifications or supplements shall be effective unless agreed to in writing by an officer of ECE having authority to act on behalf of ECE in this regard.

Limitations of Remedies ECE's entire liability and your exclusive remedy shall be: 1. The replacement of any CD‐ROM not meeting ECE's "Limited Warranty" as defined herein and which is returned to ECE with a copy of your receipt, or 2. If ECE is unable to deliver a replacement CD‐ROM which is free of defects in materials or workmanship you may terminate this License Agreement by returning the Licensed Program(s) and associated documentation and you will be refunded all the monies paid to ECE to acquire the Licensed Program(s). IN NO EVENT WILL ECE BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY LOST PROFITS, LOST SAVINGS, AND OTHER INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE LICENSED PROGRAM(S) EVEN IF ECE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY CLAIM BY ANY OTHER PARTY. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT PERMIT LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES SO THAT THE ABOVE LIMITATION AND EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY IN THOSE JURISDICTIONS. FURTHERMORE, ECE DOES NOT PURPORT TO DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY FOR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY DEFECTS IN THE CD‐ROM OR OTHER PRODUCTS PROVIDED BY ECE PURSUANT TO THIS LICENSE AGREEMENT.

General You may not sublicense, assign or transfer your rights under this License Agreement or the Licensed Program(s) except as expressly provided in the License Agreement. Any attempt otherwise to sublicense, assign or transfer any of the rights, duties or obligations hereunder is void and constitutes a breach of this License Agreement giving ECE the right to terminate as specified herein. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States of America. The initial license fee includes one (1) year of support, maintenance, and enhancements to the program. After the first 1‐year term, such updates and support are optional at the then current update fee. Questions concerning this License Agreement and all notices herein shall be made by contacting ECE in writing at ECE, 703 Wheeling Rd., Mount Prospect, IL 60056.

Export Restrictions You acknowledge the Software is subject to U.S. export jurisdiction. You agree to comply with all applicable international and national laws that apply to the Software, including the U.S. Export Administration Regulations, as well as end‐user, end‐use, and destination restrictions issued by U.S. and other governments. PLANTMO USER Manual Version 3 Introduction PLANTMO is a software application anyone can use to leverage an Intergraph CADWorx® PLANT database for project needs. It has utilities that enable:  Viewing and Extracting Material Take‐offs ‐ PLANTMO has a Grid Manager to completely control how component data is displayed. Users can customize views to meet their viewing and extraction requirements. Excel style filters are available so users can reduce the selection set to their exacting needs before exporting to Excel. o Individual Item Listing o Automatically totals Item requirements o Automatically totals Pipe requirements o Automatically totals by Line Number, SPEC, etc…



Reporting Design Quality and Status ‐ PLANTMO provides a real‐time assessment of 3D modeling status and quality against associated P&ID drawings using the P&ID database or an Excel Line List.



Costing Projects Real‐time with Design ‐ PLANTMO monitors project cost real‐time by tracking component pricing in a Global Pricing Catalog. The pricing catalog easily imports Excel spreadsheets created by any Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, or supplied by material vendors. PLANTMO will update the pricing of every item in a CADWorx model and display totals on any Material Take‐Off.



Updating CADWorx Part Numbers ‐ PLANTMO enables Part Number (DB_CODE) updates in the Model based on a Long Description or Long Description/Size Match. This functionality negates the need to maintain Part Numbers in separate (db.dat) text files. Now it is possible to automatically update a part number based upon a manufacturer, vendor, or enterprise system change for any component.



Requisitioning Materials Pre‐Design ‐ PLANTMO creates and stores material requisitions that can be used to help get materials purchased before any CAD Design begins.



Requisition Management ‐ PLANTMO provides a way for project managers and engineers to create and otherwise track requisitions against projects. At any point during a project PLANTMO will compare what has been requisitioned against what is required according to CADWorx Models. This discrepancy reporting system provides the Material Controls necessary during an entire project life cycle.

Basically, PLANTMO allows you to get “more” out of your intelligent Plant Drawings.

PLANTMO USER Manual Version 3 Installation Stand Alone and Network Installation Download the Application from www.ecedesign.com or insert the media where the PLANTMO_Setup.exe exists. Browse to the PLANTMO_Setup.exe file location and start the installation by double clicking in the file. Follow the setup dialog boxes. Caution

Ensure that all other applications are shut down especially those that employ the HASP protection system like CADWorx.

STEP 1 The PLANTMO Welcome Screen will be shown as follows. Click ‘NEXT’ to continue.

STEP 2 Accept Licensing Agreement on the screen below. The user must read and accept by clicking in the radio button. Click ‘NEXT’ to continue.

PLANTMO USER Manual Version 3 STEP 3 Installation/Destination Location. The default location is ‘C:\Program Files\ECE Solutions’. This is the same location as PIDMO and will not cause any conflicts. If a different location is desired then use the ‘BROWSE…’ button. Click ‘NEXT’ to continue.

STEP 4 Start Menu Location. The default location in the Start Menu is ‘ECE Solutions’. If a different location is desired then use the ‘BROWSE…’ button. Click ‘NEXT’ to continue.

Completion. The following screen depicts the successful installation of PLANTMO. Click ‘Finish’ to continue.

STEP 8 The installation of the HASP Protection System and Evaluation License will start immediately. This is the same system used by CADWorx. The HASP runtime drivers will be updated to the latest version by HASP. STEP 9 The following screen will appear while the HASP System is being installed.

STEP 10 Once complete, acknowledge the HASP system installation by clicking the ‘OK’ button on the following screen.

PLANTMO USER Manual Version 3 Demo Project A fully functional Demo Project is installed with PLANTMO and can be used with PLANTMO under C:\PLANTMO\CADWorx\PID. The Demo Project contains the following:  CADWorx P&ID project with all the support files and a couple drawings  CADWorx Plant library files, SPEC files and a couple Models  ISOGEN Directories and a Style Sheet for PLANTMO‐CAD

Hasp Licensing System PLANTMO employs the same HASP Key technology as does CADWorx. There are three Keys in the PLANTMO System. The PURPLE Key is for Stand‐Alone Licensing. The RED Key is for Network Licensing. The BLACK Key is for leasing.

Stand‐Alone or Leasing Installation Install PLANTMO. Insert the PURPLE or BLACK Stand‐Alone HASP Key into any available USB Port on the computer. The HASP key will be recognized and PLANTMO will be authorized to run.

Network Installation Install PLANTMO on one of the Network Stations. Browse to the ‘C:\Program Files\ECE Solutions’ Folder. ‘C:\Program Files\ECE Solutions’ is the default installation folder. Note Copy the lmsetup.exe to the Windows Server that will house the RED Network HASP key.

Once lmsetup.exe is installed, insert the RED key into the server. The HASP key will be recognized and PLANTMO‐CAD will be authorized to run via the network.

A shortcut to the link is installed with PIDMO in the Start Menu under “ECE Solutions”. This link is to the Aladdin HASP License Manager Admin Control Center and controls and monitors the HASP Key licensing. Below is a screen shot of the Admin Control Center in Internet Explorer.

Using the left‐hand Menu bar, the status of all HASP Keys can be monitored. The below screen shot displays the current keys connected to the system. The HASP SL key represents an Evaluation key and the RED Hasp Key represents a Network Key with 2 Licenses available.

PLANTMO USER Manual Version 3 HASP Network Configuration Configuration of the Workstation is virtually seamless and Workstation will be able to automatically find the server. In circumstances where the Server and Workstation are on completely different subnets, the Aladdin HASP License Manager Admin Control Center must be configured on the workstation to point to the Server as follows:

Just place the IP Address of the Server in the Search Parameters and let the licensing system handle the rest. This Version of the HASP software negates the need of the NETHASP.INI file configuration.

PLANTMO USER Manual Version 3 Getting Started PLANTMO is a stand‐alone application that provides additional functionality for CAD and Non‐CAD users. An import feature allows PLANTMO to connect to any existing CADWorx PLANT or CADWorx Steel project. Further, PLANTMO can be used to create all future PLANT projects by leveraging a seed project folder database and structure. PLANTMO includes the following functionality:  A view directly into the CADWorx Plant and Steel databases from the CAD Environment.  A Utility for discrepancy reporting between the P&ID and Piping Model Lines  A Utility to manage pricing  A Utility for maintaining Part Numbers with a link back to an ERP or Purchasing System.  A Utility for managing requisitions at the project level. Note

PLANTMO is currently is usable with ACCESS or SQL.

Section 1 – Project Creation Before using PLANTMO, a project must exist. There are 3 ways to create a PLANTMO project as follows: 1. Create a new project (Access Database Projects Only) 2. Import a Legacy Project (Access Database Projects Only) 3. Create a new Project in CADWorx and modify manually. (use [email protected] for assistance in this methodology.) ECE can support other methods if required but these are manually intensive. Note Note

The Demo Project can be used to during this walkthrough.

Back Up your Legacy Projects before importing. Importing Access Legacy Projects can Warning sometimes fail due to the many different states of the existing Access Database. In situations where a problem occurs, the original database will not be modified. Please contact ECE immediately for support in upgrading the project for use with PLANTMO. PLANTMO has a wizard for each automated option as shown below:

Create a New Access Project The “Create Access Project…” wizard will establish a new project in a user‐defined storage location. This new project will be based upon the User Defined PLANTMO Seed database. Simply select a new folder location to create a new project. If a new PLANTMO Seed database is required then click over to the PLANTMO SEED Database tab and select.

Import a Project The “Import Legacy Access Project…” wizard will establish a new project folder in a user‐defined storage location based upon a Legacy “intelligent” CADWorx project database. Along with the Legacy Database, all files and folders required by PLANTMO will be created. All existing drawing files and folders relative to the Legacy database must be manually copied through Windows Explorer into the new Project Folder. Simply follow the wizard steps to create a new project based upon an existing database and then copy in the required drawing files.

Note

PLANTMO will be modifying the new database to ensure all the required tables and fields exist. In addition, PLANTMO will add all the required folders and populate them with templates from the Seed database. Any existing Excel templates, AutoCAD drawings or any other files will have to be moved or copied into the new project folders after creating it in order to make them available for use.

PLANTMO USER Manual Version 3 Using the Application Menu, the user can initiate the following tasks:  Open Access Project… ‐ On selection, the user will be prompted to select an Intergraph CADWorx PLANT Access database.  Open SQL Project… ‐ On selection, the user will be prompted to select an Intergraph CADWorx PLANT SQL database.  Open SQL Schema Project… ‐ On selection, the user will be prompted to select an Intergraph CADWorx PLANT SQL database.  Close Project – Closes the currently open project.  Create/Import Access Project… ‐ o Create a New Access Project. This Project is based on the Seed Database and can be modified to suit each customer’s requirements. o Import Legacy Access Project… ‐ This imports an existing Intergraph CADWorx PLANT database. The only change applied to the database is to add a cost field to the PIPE table. This allows PLANTMO to track project costs.  Configure Parts Catalog – This allows the user to point towards a Global Parts Catalog.  Configure Requisition Catalog – This allows the user to point towards a Global Requisitions Catalog.  Import Grid Configuration – Imports a previously exported Grid Configuration file.  Export Grid Configuration – Exports the current Grid Configuration file.

Section 2 – Open Project… Use the Open Access Project to select a CADWorx PLANT Database. Caution

Opening an Existing CADWorx Database without using the ‘Import Legacy Project’ first may result in unexpected behavior.

Note

A demo project has been pre‐loaded on the machine at ‘C:\PLANTMO\CADWorx\PID’. This demo can be used to facilitate an evaluation of the software.

PLANTMO is now connected to the Intergraph CADWorx PLANT database and the Measurement System and Grids must be setup. The default measurement system is Imperial. The default Grid displays the ID_COUNT field only. Using the Grid Manager, ten custom grids can be set up for every tab:  Piping BOM  Piping MTO’s  Piping MTO with Drawing Filter  Piping MTO with Line Filter  Steel BOM  Steel MTO’s In order to delete and/or edit rows in the Piping BOM Grid, The UNIQUE_ID field or Note ID_COUNT and DWG_NAME fields is/are required. See below for editing functionality.

Section 3 – Measurement System The measurement system is always driven from the drawing environment. Changing the measurement system selection in PLANTMO does nothing more than inform PLANTMO what 703 Wheeling Rd Mount Prospect, IL 60056 Phone 312‐235‐6960

PLANTMO USER Manual Version 3 measurement system is ‘in‐force’ for the open project. Select the measurement system used by the project by pressing the Imperial or Metric buttons as shown below.

Section 4 – Grids The following are the currently available Grids in PLANTMO and accessed through the tabs below the Ribbon:  Piping BOM ‐ This Grid contains the current information in the PIPE Table. The PIPE Table houses the latest CADWorx PLANT information.  Piping MTO’s ‐ This Grid contains a Material Takeoff or Roll‐up of the PIPE Table.  Piping MTO with Drawing Filter ‐ This Grid contains a Material Takeoff or Roll‐up of the PIPE Table with an overall Drawing Filter.  Piping MTO with Line Filter ‐ This Grid contains a Material Takeoff or Roll‐up of the PIPE Table with an overall Line Filter.  Steel BOM ‐ This Grid contains the current information in the STEEL Table. The STEEL Table houses the latest CADWorx PLANT information.  Steel MTO’s ‐ This Grid contains a Material Takeoff or Roll‐up of the STEEL Table. Each Grid can be set up with 10 Custom Views. Each Grid has specific controls and functionality as noted in the next section.

Section 5 – Grid Controls Each Grid has the following controls:  Refresh – At any time, the “Refresh” can be pressed to gather up the latest information added to the database through the drawing environment.  Sorting – By clicking on the center of the top of a column, the Grid will sort all rows by that column.  Column Filtering – By hovering over the right of the top of a column, the Grid will display a drop‐down for that column.

PLANTMO USER Manual Version 3 o When pressed, the drop‐down displays a powerful excel style filtering capability as shown below:

  

o By checking and unchecking the various items, the user is able to filter the Grid to see only the desired items. o A powerful Text Filter is available using the drop‐down at the bottom of the Filter box. Item Count – Each Grid Total the number of items currently displayed in the Grid and displays it in the bottom right on the Grid Status Bar. Overall Filter – Each Grid has an overall filter set up in the Grid Manager ( Section 6 – Grid Manager). The current overall filter setting can be displayed using the filter button on the Status Bar below the grid as shown below. Only Active Filter settings will be displayed.

Export Grid – Every Grid can be exported using a variety of functions:

o Quick Report – Selecting Quick Report will bring up a dialog box to choose a predefined template. Selected a template, a destination folder and start row are all that is required.

o Export to Excel – Selecting the “Export Grid (xlsx)…” will export all rows in the Grid – Filtered and Unfiltered. The Filtered Rows will appear invisible in Excel but the data will be present. o Export to Excel Filtered – Selecting the “Export Filtered Grid (xlsx)…” will export just the visible or UnFiltered Rows in the Grid.

PLANTMO USER Manual Version 3 o Export to DBF – There is an Options Screen as well as the actual Export.

 

Export Grid – Selecting the “Export Grid (dbf)…” button will produce a DBF output file Options – Selecting the DBF “Output Options…” will bring up the following dialog. The dialog allows the user to MAP/SET the outputted DBF Column Headers. In addition, the user can put in a Path for the Models that will be added to the model name in the drawing column.

Save Custom Grid Filters – The User can save the Current Grid Filters for each of the 10 Custom Grid Views. Once the Grid is Filtered as desired, the Save Grid Filter Button is pressed. If a New Custom Grid is loaded then the Custom Filter for that Grid View is loaded. The Visual Indication that a custom Grid Filter is set is the change in ICON color. Saving the Grid Filter with no Filters set removes the Custom Grid Filter. Note



Clear Grid Filters – Press the Clear Grid Filters button to clear the current Grid Filters. It will not clear the Saved Filters. To Clear the saved filters the User must resave the Grid Filters with none set (or after they have been cleared).

Piping BOM Grid Special Features The Piping BOM Grid has some additional features including the following:

Row Deletion (Piping BOM Grid Only) – Using the “Delete Selected Rows” button located beneath the Grid on the Status Bar, the User is able to delete rows in the CADWorx PLANT database. Possible uses include: o Deleted Drawings ‐ Deleted Models do not get automatically removed from the database. By filtering the Grid by DWG_NAME, the User is can easily delete the drawing entries in the database. o Drawing Name Changes – Drawing name changes do not get automatically removed from the database. By filtering the Grid by DWG_NAME, the User is can easily delete the drawing entries in the database. Editing – Quick edits in the Piping BOM Grid are possible. The user is able to edit the following fields in the Piping BOM: o Short Description – “SHORT_DESC” o Long Description – “LONG_DESC” o Size – “ALPHA_SIZE” o Size – “ALPHA_SIZE” o Cost – “COST_” o Part Number – “DB_CODE” o Line Number – “LINE_NUM” o Weight – “WEIGHT” o Tag – “TAG” Cut, Copy and Paste Functionality – These functions are available while in edit mode using the stand keyboard function (Copy/Ctrl‐c, Cut/Ctrl‐x, or Paste/Ctrl‐v) or the right‐click menu.

Note

In order to delete and/or edit rows in the Piping BOM Grid, The UNIQUE_ID field or ID_COUNT and DWG_NAME fields is/are required. See below for editing functionality.

Section 6 – Grid Manager The Grid Manager is available for every Grid. Pressing the Grid Manager above a Grid will bring up the grid manager for the specific grid.

Grid Manager – Custom Grid Selection Using the Drop‐Down List in the Ribbon, the user can select any of 10 Custom Grids. The user can then select any of the options, enter a custom Position Name and choose the required fields to display.

Grid Manager – Save Once a Custom Grid is set up, the user can Save the Configuration. All Custom Grids are saved to the Users Profile and can be exported and imported from the main PLANTMO Menu.

Grid Manager – Options The Grid Manager displays the following Option checkboxes:  Exclude Fabrication Items  Include Existing Components  Include Isometric Start Signs  Include Isometric Stop Signs  Include Welds

The appropriate options are selected by the user and immediately become active for the respective grid. On the Material Takeoff Grid, the Options apply to all of the selectable Grids. Note

Grid Manager – Database Fields In addition to the above options, the User is provided with a list of Database Table fields and a list of Currently Select Fields. The User can move the fields from/to the Selected Fields list using the associated left and right arrows. The User is able to control the field position in the Grid by using the associated up and down arrows. Upon closing the Grid Manager, the respective Grid will be refreshed automatically.

Grid Manager – Additional Fields: Existing and Rating In addition to the above options, the Piping BOM Grid User is provided with the option to add an Existing Field and Rating Field to the Grid.  Existing – When selected, PLANTMO reviews the status of each Component row in the Grid as defined and makes it either Existing or Proposed.  Rating – When selected, PLANTMO reviews the long description of each Component and identifies the Rating by looking for “LB” or “#” in the long description.

Section 7 – Piping and P&ID Line Discrepancy Report PLANTMO has the ability to provide a Line discrepancy report between the Piping BOM a P&ID Line List. The discrepancy report will provide:  A list of Piping BOM lines noted with MATCH or NO MATCH in the P&ID Line List.  A list of P&ID lines noted with MATCH or NO MATCH in the Piping BOM. To access the Discrepancy Reporting press the “Compare P&IDs and Piping…” button as shown below:

The Piping Line List is taken from the currently open project database. The P&ID Line List can be taken from an Excel Line List or directly from the P&ID Database.

Excel Line List Discrepancy Report Step 1 – To use an Excel Line List, create a simple Excel Spreadsheet with all of the lines listed in Column A of the spreadsheet. No header is required. Step 2 – Press the “Excel Line List” button. PLANTMO will prompt the User to select the correct worksheet. Once selected the report will run as shown below:

After the report is completed, PLANTMO will display the Total Lines, the number of matched and unmatched lines.

P&ID Database If the P&ID Database and the PIPE Database are one in the same then pressing the “P&ID Database” button will produce the report without the need for any further user interaction.

PLANTMO USER Manual Version 3 Section 8 – Parts Catalog The Parts Catalog holds the pricing and part number information for all the parts used by CADWorx. The Parts Catalog is Global so that it may be leveraged across projects just like the specifications. Using an Excel Spreadsheet, the User is able to import all the pricing and part number data and then with the press of a button update the Model Pricing, update the part numbers in the Model based on Long Description or update the part numbers in the Model based on Long Description and Size. Press the “Part Catalog…” button to enter the catalog.

Configuration In the PLANTMO Menu, Press the “Configure Parts Catalog…” button to display the configuration screen. This Screen will automatically be displayed if the Catalog is not already configured.

PLANTMO USER Manual Version 3 Import The Parts Grid can be imported from Excel to facilitate easy updates from the various purchasing systems. The import routines allows for customized column mapping so that the Excel Spreadsheet can contain countless fields. Ensure that a header contains the descriptions and these will be shown when the import routine is initiated. If a column is not mapped then it will not be imported into the table nor will the Note information for that particular column be overwritten if the record already exists. DB_CODES or Part Numbers must be Unique. Otherwise, information may be Note overwritten on one of the records. Step 1 – Press the “Import from Excel” button in the External Catalog Group on the ribbon.

Step 2 – Select the Worksheet to import. Step 3 – Map the Columns in the Excel Spreadsheet to the columns stored by PLANTMO in the database using the below dialog box:

Step 4 – Press OK. Notes

 A Cancel Button is available after the process has start.  A Count of the imported records will appear in the lower right hand corner.

Fields that are NOT MAPPED during import will not be overwritten if the Item Code/DB_CODE already exists in the table.

Export

Press the “Export to Excel” button in the External Catalog Group on the ribbon and select a location at the subsequent prompt. Open Pricing Worksheet

Press the “Open Pricing Worksheet” button in the External Catalog Group on the ribbon and select a worksheet to open in Excel.

Update Pricing

Upon pressing the “Update Piping Model Pricing” button, PLANTMO will look through the entire Piping Model and subsequently search the Pricing Catalog for updated pricing. If a match is found then the Piping Model pricing is updated.

Update DB_CODES (Part Numbers) PLANTMO has the unique ability to manage the part numbers (DB_CODEs) on a project or globally across all projects so that the part numbers align with an enterprise system. CADWorx normally handles this through the use of a text file with the default name of “DBCODES.DAT”. The main issue with the “DBCODES.DAT” file is the actual management and update of the text file so it is in alignment with the Users purchasing system. To that end, PLANTMO leverages the Global Pricing Catalog and the fact that Long Descriptions are usually unique and if not can be made unique one time.

Upon pressing the “Long Desc” button, PLANTMO will look at each item in the Piping Model for a match on Long Description in the Global Pricing Catalog. If a match is found then the Piping Model item is updated with the correct part number. Long Description and Size

Upon pressing the “Long Desc” and “Size” button, PLANTMO will look at each item in the Piping Model for a match on Long Description and Size in the Global Pricing Catalog. If a match is found then the Piping Model item is updated with the correct part number. Editing In addition to importing, the Pricing Catalog Grid is completely editable. During editing, the row indicator will change from the standard Arrow ( ) to the Pencil icon ( ).

The Requisition Catalog is Global so that it may be leveraged across projects just like the specifications. The User is able to leverage the Piping Model Material Takeoff, the Global Pricing Catalog as well a discrepancy report between the piping model and the currently filtered Requisition Catalog. Once requisitions are created they can be exported to excel to enable sending to the purchasing department.

PLANTMO USER Manual Version 3 Overview Pressing the “Requisition Catalog…” ribbon button open the Requisition Catalog.

The Requisition Catalog facilitates creating purchase requisitions for a project. Since there are a wide variety of purchasing systems as well as countless formats, PLANTMO provides an easy way to get the required parts out to Excel. PLANTMO implements a shopping cart to facilitate the creation of the requisitions. Using the Piping Material Take Offs, Piping Material Take Offs with Drawing Filter, Piping Material Take Offs with Line Filter, Discrepancy Report, and Pricing (Parts) Catalog Tabs shown below, the User is able to select parts and add them to the Shopping Cart. Once added, the User is able to navigate to the Shopping Cart and “Create a Requisition”. The Piping Material Take Offs, Piping Material Take Offs with Drawing Filter, and Piping Note Material Take Offs with Line Filter Grids are only available if the DB_CODE (Part Number) field is in the Grid. This is a required field to choose Parts.

Excel All Grids can be exported to Excel using the “Export To Excel” ribbon button. Press the button a dialog will display for the user to select the save location.

Grids Each Grid has the following controls:  Refresh – At anytime, the “Refresh” can be pressed to gather up the latest information added to the database through the drawing environment.  Sorting – By clicking on the center of the top of a column, the Grid will sort all rows by that column.  Column Filtering – By hovering over the right of the top of a column, the Grid will display a drop‐down for that column.

o By checking and unchecking the various items, the user is able to filter the Grid to see only the desired items. o A powerful Text Filter is available using the drop‐down at the bottom of the Filter box.

Piping Material Take Offs Note

The Piping Material Take Offs, Piping Material Take Offs with Drawing Filter, and Piping Material Take Offs with Line Filter Grids are only available if the DB_CODE (Part Number) field is in the Grid. This is a required field to choose Parts.

The Piping Material Take Off Grids contain a listing of the parts in the Piping Models. The Drawing Filter and Line Filter Grids are set before entering the Catalog.

PLANTMO USER Manual Version 3 Select a Line Item(s) by clicking on the CART checkbox and then clicking on the “Add Selected to Cart” ribbon button will add the item to the Shopping Cart Grid.

Discrepancy Report Pressing the “Run Discrepancy Report” ribbon button will initiate the sequence against the correct Piping MTO Grid. The Discrepancy Report will compare the selected “Piping Material Take Off” part to the currently Visible and unfiltered requisitions in the Requisitions Grid. After the comparison, the Quantity Required, Quantity Ordered and Discrepancy will be quickly determined.

After the report is done, the User can select a Line Item(s) by clicking on the CART checkbox and then clicking on the “Add Selected to Cart” ribbon button will add the discrepancy item(s) to the Shopping Cart Grid.

Parts (Pricing) Catalog The Parts Catalog Grid contains a listing of all the parts in the Pricing Catalog.

Select a Line Item(s) by clicking on the CART checkbox and then clicking on the “Add Selected to Cart” ribbon button will add the discrepancy item(s) to the Shopping Cart Grid.

PLANTMO USER Manual Version 3 Bolt Quantities CADWorx will append a Bolt Quantity to the front of the long description for Bolts. In some cases, the CADWorx User does not want this appended. This function will remove the Bolt Quantity from all Bolt long descriptions.
