Description : Proses pendinginan sangat diperlukan oleh nelayan untuk mempertahankan mutu hasil tangkapan. Pada saat ini nelayan masih menggunakan sistem pendingin espadatyang dibawa dari darat. Dengan menggunakan sistem pendinginan ini lama pelayaran akan terbatasi karena es yang mereka bawa tidak dapat bertahan lama, selain itu dengan jumlah es yang dibawa semakin banyak akan mengurangi jumlah muatan yang dapat dibawa. Penelitian ini menawarkan sistem pendingin dengan sistem adsorpsi, sistem ini cocok untuk nelayan sebab dalam pengaplikasiannya tidak memerlukan biaya dan tempat yang besar serta mudah dalam pengopersiannya. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan pengujian kemampuan daya serap karbon aktif dan pengaruh daya serap karbon aktif terhadap efek refrigerasi, dan juga menganalisa pengaruh suhu reaktor terhadap kemampuan pendinginan. Dari perhitungan yang dihasilakan diketahui kemampuan pedinginan untuk kapal ikon sebesar53.7 Watt, sehingga untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pendinginan pada kapal masih memerlukan sistem pendingin yang lain.
Description Alt: Cooling process is needed by fisherman to keep the quality offish they get. In present day, this fisherman still uses the solid ice cooling system taken from land. By this type of cooling system, the sailing time will be limited because the ice they bring cannot longer survive. Besides, as much as the ice they bring, as much as the space for the load will be used. This research offers the cooling system with adsorption, this system is suitable for fisherman because in its application does not need much fund or space, is also easily operated. This research tests the adsorptive of active carbon and the effect of this adsorptive to the refrigeration, it also analyzes the effect of reactor temperature to the cooling itself. From the resulted calculation, known that the refrigeration effect for this ship is 53.7 watts, so that, to fulfill the cooling loads in the ship is still need for another cooling system.
