GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR THE GROUP ASSIGNMENT 1. Students are required to form groups comprising of 3 MEMBERS ONLY. 2. Each group needs to choose ONE ONE potential business (Lecturer/Student identified) for the three(3) assignments. 3. Lecturers are advised to assist students in preparing questions for the purpose of collecting informations. 4. Lecturers are advised to prepare a letter to any agencies/company agencies/com pany for students to collect informations.
5. The group needs to collect information as much as possible about the company(i.e company background,product,marketing techniques, business performance,etc). 6. The information can be collected through document reviews, personal interviews with the owner/owners, observation, etc. 7. The group needs to write a final report using the given format. 8. Use Times New Roman 12 or Arial 11 with 1.5 spacing for the three(3) written assignments.

1.WRITTEN REPORT ON CASE STUDY (20%) A.CASE STUDY OVERVIEW
Students learn better by real life examples. Case study can assess application on theories and concepts learned in class to real life situations. Through case study students would be able to improve communication communication and enhance team work. Furthermore they would also be able to improve problem solving and decision making skills. A successful successful case study analyses analyses a real-life situation situation where where existing existing problems problems need to be solved. It should: Relate the theory to a practical situation; for example, apply the ideas and knowledge discussed in the coursework to the practical situation at hand in the case study. Identify the problems. Select the major problems in the case. Suggest solutions to these major problems. Recommend the best solution to be implemented. Detail how this solution should be implemented.

This should be written in a forceful style as this section is intended to be persuasive.
8. REFERENCES Make sure all references are cited correctly. Recommend that you source interviews, business journals, periodicals, and textual references as well as some online research. Make sure you support your ideas with facts and figures. Please try to use your own words and ideas based on research rather than copy and paste other’s words from the internet.
9. APPENDICES (if any) Attach any original data that relate to the study, but which would have interrupted the flow of the main body. All charts, financials, visuals, and other related items can be placed here and referenced in the report.

A. OVERVIEW A business plan is a written document which described the proposed business or project to be undertaken in a comprehensive manner. It is also known as a working paper, business proposal, project paper or prospectus. The format of a business plan depends on the requirement of the reader (eg financial institutions, SME Corporation etc). However a comprehensive format of a business plan is given to ENT300 students so that they can adapt whatever format needed by other readers.
The business plan must practically enough to be implemented.
