ENGLISH IN CAMP 2012 S.M.K SOOK ORGANISED BY ENGLISH PANEL COMMITTEE 2012 1. INTRODUCTION The introduction of Memartabatkan Bahasa Malaysia, Memperkukuhkan Bahasa Inggeris (MBMMBI) has encouraged and indirectly forced students to learn and use English Language daily in their life. Due to this students have shown great interest in becoming members of the English Language Society as well as the teachers. However, interest alone will not guarantee students to excel in their English Language spoken. Therefore, the English Panel of SMK SOOK, Sook decided to run the “English In Camp” to help students to gain more confidence in their spoken as well as written English. 2. AIM “English In Camp” provides an avenue for participants to immerse themselves in an English speaking environment. 3. RATIONALE To encourage the use of conversational English among students of different abilities. 4. OBJECTIVES The objectives of English in Camp are to enable participants to: i. Feel ease in using the English Language to communicate. ii. Experience using the language in a joyful and lively atmosphere. iii. Communicate more effectively and confidently. 5. TARGET GROUP This camp is open to Form Four and Form Five students in the school. The criteria for participation include: i.
2 boys and 2 girls from each class.
