Introduction According to the author in Wikipedia, Maharishi Bhrigu was one of the seven great sages, the Saptarshis, in ancient India, one of the many Prajapatis (the facilitators of Creation) created by Brahma (The God of Creation),[1] the first compiler of predictive astrology, and also the author of Bhrigu Samhita, the astrological (Jyotish) classic written during the Vedic period, Treta yuga. Maharishi Bhrigu is credited as the father of Hindu astrology and the first astrological treatise Bhrigu Samhita is attributed to his authorship. Sage Bhrigu had around 150 simple rules (Sarala Padatthi) to predict certain events in one's life. The team members of the Saptharishis Website are contributing the translation of these rules along with some examples. As of today, only 30 rules had been translated and published in their website. In this article, I am consolidating the known BSP rules. Some of these BSP rules are specific to native's age. I had consolidated those too, so that the readers can easily co-relate the age with the rule.

BSP RULES BSP # 1: Wherever Saturn sits he creates Ups & Down in the 4th house from it, in minimum any one signification of that house -- This becomes his Karmic House called as ‘Shanis Previous Lives House’. He will first create Up & then Down in the significations of the house or at times even the reverse, basically he will Create Fluctuations. BSP # 2: Wherever Jupiter sits he creates Ups & Down in the 10th & 6th house from it, in at least one significations of that house. This becomes his Karmic House called as ‘Jupiter’s Previous Lives House’. He will first create Up & Down in the significations of the house which means fluctuations (Gadbad). He will destroy at least one signification of that house. BSP # 3: Wherever Saturn sits, he becomes Judge Dredd or Emperor (Shahenshah) and he shouts I Am The Law . It is that house where -- a) Karma is unfinished & you ‘Need’ to finish it. b) You will or can make mistakes concerning significations of that house. BSP # 4: Wherever Saturn sits he ‘Spoils/Destroys/Activates’ one of the significations of the 2nd house from it. That He passes on the judgment of this house (where he is placed) on to the 2nd house from it. BSP # 5: When Jupiter and Saturn are conjunct in any house, at least one signification of the sign of Aries, whichever house it occupies, will be

BSP # 6: Wherever Mars sits in the natal chart, it implements itself in the tenth house from itself in the 27th year of the native. BSP # 7: MISSING..... BSP # 8: Rahu implements itself in the 6th from itself in the 38th year of a native. BSP # 9: Ketu implements itself in the 12th from itself in the 24th year of a native’s life. BSP # 10A: Jupiter will implement its 9th aspect in the 9th house from the place it is located in the 40th year of a native’s life. BSP # 10B: Jupiter will implement itself in the house where he is located in the 40th year of a native’s life. BSP # 11A: Jupiter will implement its 5th aspect in the 5th house from the place it is located in the 32nd year of a native’s life. BSP # 11B: At ‘Times’ it has been observed that this 32nd year implementation also can happen in the same house. eMail: [email protected]

Sastry Karra’s Astrological Series BSP # 11C: Jupiter’s 5th aspect has a Special ‘Unlocking’ characteristic & a ‘Purva Puniac Characteristic’ (Previous Life Results). This must not be ignored. BSP # 11D: The 3rd house from this 5th house (aspect) of Jupiter i.e. 7th house from Jupiter, will ‘Control’ or ‘Influence’ the results of this 5th aspect. In effect one can say that Jupiter’s 7th aspect can also be implemented in the 32nd year. BSP # 11E: Jupiter is karaka for children, prosperity ( Vriddhi) is to be kept in mind & also can be the worst malefic at times irrespective of lordships (old astrologer’s saying to mentor) BSP # 12: MISSING... BSP # 13: Saturn’s 3rd aspect implements itself in the 20th year. BSP # 14: This rule deals with Past Life House (PLH) BSP # 15: Venus says ‘The house where I am given shelter or the lord I conjoin with or the lord of the house I represent will show where I can, I repeat I can & not will (100 %) contribute to the a) Medical expenses or Diseases b) At times Death c) Peeda (Dramatic Troubles) .

BSP # 17A: Rahu sits it gives effects more in the 37th year of one’s life for that house (at times). BSP # 17B: Rahu's 9th aspect implements itself in the 37th year. BSP # 18: Where Jupiter sits it also gives effects in the 69th year of one’s life for that house. BSP # 19: Jupiter sits its 9th aspect gives effects in the 22nd year of one’s life . BSP # 20: The 5th from it, Mercury will create ‘Ups & Downs or Obstacle or Supreme Troubles’ in minimum one signification of that house. BSP # 21: Rahu’s 5th aspect implements itself in the 22nd year. BSP # 22: Saturn implements its energy in the 6th house from itself in the 28th year. BSP # 26A: Saturn where he sits, he gives result in 51th year. BSP # 26B: Where Saturn 3rd aspect in 51st year , he gives result in 51th year. BSP 27: Saturn implements in the 4th House from itself in the 24th and/or 48th year. BSP 28: Mercury implements its energies in the 10th House from itself in the 24th year. BSP- 29: Mars implements its 4th aspect in the 32nd year. BSP- 30: Rahu where he sits, he gives result in 30th year.

Case Study – for BSP Rules As a Case Study, I am including a Birth Chart whose DOB is 10-June-1964.

Validating BSP # 30: Rahu where he sits, he gives result in 30th year. The 30th year for this native operates from Jun-1993 to Jun-1994. Rahu (6L of service) is posited in 10H of career in conjunction with 2L (Venus) of wealth, family, speech, etc among other significations. Also Venus is 9L of Bhagya (fortunes/ luck), higher education and long distance travels, since it is with Rahu the karaka for foreigners/ foreign land. So the native’s 30th year hints at some of the above events.

Sastry Karra’s Astrological Series The native writes, “I got a job offer in US in Oct 1993(in 30th year) and the company applied for H1Visa, my first daughter was born in March 1994, I received my H1- Visa from the US embassy in April 1994, and I left to US in May 1994.”

Observe, Rahu is with Venus a female planet. Venus is also 2L of addition to family, so a girl child was born.

Dispositor of Rahu is Lagna and 10L Mercury in 9H with 12L Sun of foreign residence, 3L Mars of going away from homeland. No wonder, the native got a job overseas and went down to settle there in his 30th year.

Conclusion These BSP Rules are to be fully analyzed on individuals natal chart before arriving to any conclusions.

As of today, only 30 BSP rules are publicly available through Saptharishi’s Website. My next part of the article will be published if there are atleast 15 to 20 new BSP rules are announced.
