BAB I RANCANGAN DRAINASI WILAYAH / SUB DAERAH
1.1. Perkiraan Debit Banjir Untuk menentukan besarnya debit sungai berdasarkan hujan perlu meninjau kembali hubungan antara hujan dan aliran sungai. Besarnya aliran sungai sangat ditentukan oleh besarnya hujan, intensitas hujan, luas daerah pengaliran sungai, lama waktu hujan dan karakteristik daerah pengaliran itu. Beberapa cara untuk perkiraan debit banjir yang berdasarkan curah hujan dapat diklasifikasikan dalam 3 (tiga) cara sebagai berikut. 1.
menggunakan rumus empiris
2.
cara statistik
3.
menggunakan unit hidrograf.
Cara rumus empiris biasanya digunakan sebagai cara terakhir apabila tidak terdapat data yang cukup yang digunakan untuk memeriksa hasil yang didapat dengan cara yang lain. Cara yang kedua kedua digunakan sebelum cara hidrograf satuan satuan dipakai. Cara ini sangat teoritis dan mempunyai suatu keuntungan yang besar sebagai cara peramalan yang berdasarkan data-data yang lalu. Cara hidrograf satuan telah diakui oleh dunia sebagai cara yang paling dipercaya dalam teknik peramalan debit banjir. Cara ini dapat diterapkan pada daerah-daerah pengaliran yang kurang dari 25 km 2 sampai daerah pengaliran sebesar 5.000 km 2. Untuk daerah pengaliran yang lebih besar dari 5.000 km 2, cara ini dapat juga digunakan jika telah dibuatkan dibuatkan hidrograf satuan yang bersangkutan dengan corak curah hujan hujan dalam daerah pengaliran pengaliran itu. Cara ini juga telah pernah dicoba diterapkan pada anak sungai utama dalam daerah pengaliran yang 2
lebih luas dari 20.000 km . Jika tidak terdapat data hidrologi yang cukup, maka perkiraan debit banjir dihitung dengan rumus-rumus empiris yang telah banyak dikemukakan. Hampir semua rumus jenis ini adalah jenis yang menyatakan korelasi dengan satu atau dua variabel yang sangat berhubungan berhubungan dengan debit debit banjir. Karakteristik yang tidak tidak diketahui dari debit banjir yang diperkirakan dengan rumus jenis ini adalah frekuensi rata-rata. Tetapi rumus-rumus rumus-rumus ini dapat dapat memberikan memberikan nilai perkiraan perkiraan yang bermanfaat bermanfaat untuk tugas perencanaan dan manajemen banjir.
1.2. Rumus Empiris Rumus empiris digunakan apabila terdapat data hidrologi yang cukup, mengingat banyak variabel variabel yang mempengaruhi mempengaruhi debit. Rumus ini banyak digunakan untuk sungai pada umumnya, dengan daerah pengaliran yang terbatas, dan juga untuk perencanaan drainase daerah pengaliran yang relatif sempit, kira-kira 40-80 ha. Daerah pengaliran yang besar dengan pola drainase yang kompleks menyebabkan aliran air dari titik terjauh akan terhambat untuk menambah besarnya banjir. Untuk daerah pengaliran yang kecil dengan pola drainasi yang sederhana, lama waktu konsentrasi bisa sama dengan lama waktu pengaliran dari titik terjauh. Intensitas curah hujan adalah ketinggian curah hujan yang terjadi pada suatu kurun waktu. Analisa intensitas curah curah hujan ini dapat dapat diproses dari dari data curah hujan hujan yang telah terjadi pada masa lampau, baik berupa data curah hujan harian maupun data curah hujan secara otomatis.
