RRC connection release with redirect
The feature provides detailed resource oriented information at call level of defined number of calls in one or more cells. The operator can activate cell traffic tracing for a limited period of time for specific analysis purposes for example advanced troubleshooting, optimization of resource usage and quality, RF coverage control and capacity improvement or dropped call analysis in specific cells.
This feature is based on LTE433: Cell Trace and includes extensions for IMSI number additions for the cell trace data. The feature provides detailed subscriber oriented information at call level for one or more specific mobile(s). The operator can activate Network Monitoring subscriber and equipment tracing for a limited period of time for specific analysis purposes, .e.g. for root cause determination of a and Maintenance malfunctioning mobile, advanced troubleshooting, optimization of resource usage and quality, RF coverage control and capacity improvement, dropped call analysis or E2E procedure validation. System maintenance is responsible for maintaining computing platform of the Flexi LTE BTS. It consists of four internal systems: supervision system, internal alarm system, recovery system and diagnostic system. The supervision system performs continuous Network Monitoring checking and testing in order to detect irregularities, the alarm system monitors the procedural behaviour of SW tasks, the recovery and Maintenance system tries to eliminate the fault effects and spreading of the faults and the diagnostic can be activated in addition to support the trouble-finding-phase of the fault handling. Basic LTE call The TX signal is transmitted through a single TX antenna per cell, either due to HW configuration or in semi-static mode selected by handling and O&M in case of HW configuration with two TX paths per cell interworking Mobility
UEs will be redirected to other frequency layers in case of bad radio conditions. The purpose of the feature is to minimize the alarms which needs to be treated by operator in NetAct in case of a central interface or entity problem either during set-up or loss of an established connection.
LTE424
Automatic interface alarm correlation
Network Monitoring and Maintenance
In the flat architecture of the LTE, meaning multiple S1 and X2 interfaces this is more important than e.g. in WCDMA system where only few common interfaces are in place. Depending on the failed connection and/or node, a single failure can cause in worst case up to 1000-2000 or even more alarm events. By using alarm correlation instead of this big amount of alarms only a dedicated alarm is send to the operator in case of interface problems.

PCI management
Support of S1 overload message from the MME
During trials and rollouts getting accurate BTS information for multiple sites is a tedious and time consuming process as no central management system, as NetAct, is normally already in place. The BTS Site Browser allows quick discovery, monitoring and configuration of multiple BTS's without need of constant connect/reconnect to individual BTS's. Timing advance measurements can be used by the operator for network planning and optimization exercises. It is possible to locate Network Monitoring high and low traffic areas in the cell, to geographically plot a generic user distribution in the cell, to obtain dropped call statistics etc. and Maintenance within the limited scope of the timing advance accuracy and scope. Timing advance alone is not providing enough indications to do localization services. Each cell of a LTE network needs to have a physical cell ID (PCI) assigned. The PCI is reported as part of the synchronization signal. Network Administration
Configuration Management
As the range of the PCIs is limited to 504 values and neither the neighbours of a cell, nor the neighbours of the neighbours shall have the same PCI value assigned, the value selection per cells needs to consider its environment. This feature includes the automatic assignment of PCI values to cell, the detection of possible collision and also the optimization of the PCI values. This feature includes the automatic assignment of PCI values to cell, the detection of possible collision and also the optimizaion of the PCI values.

Transmission
The eNB supports SCTP multihoming with multiple IP addresses for C-plane termination at the MME. This feature covers Intra-LTE, Intra-frequency automated neighbor relation configuration (ANR).
LTE782
ANR Fully UE based
Configuration Management
In case an unknown physical cell ID (PCI) is detected and reported by a UE to the Flexi Multiradio BTS the corresponding EUTRAN Cell Global ID (ECGI) is derived with the help of the UE-measurements. The Flexi Multiradio BTS resolves the corresponding public IP address of the new found neighbor Flexi Multiradio BTS and establishes the X2 connection to exchange neighbor cell information respectively opens the X2 interface for control layer applications. The automated planning of neighbor relation to UTRAN cells is done on NMS level with the help of NetAct Configurator and Optimizer. This feature prepares neighbour relations for each LTE cell in the optimization scope and UTRAN automatically based on current LTE and legacy UTRAN network configuration data with an intelligent algorithm in Optimizer to identify possible UTRAN neighbor cells. This functionality can be triggered manually. From creation time onwards the established relations are updated/synchronized automatically in case of changes occurring at the UTRAN side (deletion of cell or change of the parameters), ensuring up-to-date Inter RAT neighbor relationships.

LTE Automatic Lock
Uplink peak data rates are limited by the lack of support of 64QAM in UEs cat 1-4. 3GPP 36.213 defines MCS20 as highest coding Coverage, capacity scheme applicable to 16QAM. The usage MCS21 to MCS24 for 16QAM operation provides approximately 25% higher UL peak rates ad and peak rates allows to meet LTE 25.913 high level requirement of 50 Mbps in UL. In LTE as in other technologies the "lock/unlock" commands are necessary for specific objects so that changes to related parameters can be applied. This means that the lock command, the required parameter change and the unlock command need to be executed. As in LTE currently parameter changes are possible only via configuration data downloads, three different configuration files would be required. Configuration Management
With the help of this feature the operator does not have to care about the required lock/unlock commands, but only about the required parameter change. The required "lock/unlock" commands are issued automatically in Flexi Multiradio BTS. The operator can choose to use a less service impacting way by applying the graceful cell shutdown or the hard, but fast and immediate lock in case of cell parameter changes. After the parameter changes are done, the cell will be re-activated to that state it had before the modification.
