1 Purpose SAP S/4HANA customers can take advantage of a template-based template-based migration approach built into SAP S/4HANA with the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit. The SAP S/4HANA cloud packages support a limited set of data migration objects, with support for additional objects planned for later inclusion. Note The term SAP S/4HANA Cloud in this script is used only for the Software-as-a-Service Cloud offering offering by SAP. The term On-premise covers the SAP S/4HANA On-premise offering as well as
any SAP S/4HANA private cloud hosting offering. This document provides a detailed procedure for testing the scope item after solution deployment, reflecting the predefined scope of the solution. Each process step is covered in its own section, providing the system interactions (that is, test steps) in a table view. Steps that are not in scope of the process but are needed for testing are marked accordingly (see theTest theTest Step column). Step column). Customer-project-specific Customer-project-specific steps must be added.

8 Appendix 8.1 General Topics and Limitations 8.1.1 When to create a new project? We recommend that you create a new project if you encounter one of the following situations: ●
You load data for an object from different systems with different value mappings
●
For some objects (for example Fixed Assets) there could be data constellations existing where it is necessary to create two projects.
For example: Assets that belong to different charts of depreciation cannot be migrated with a single upload file, if the depreciation areas differ. You will have to double-check the mapping of the depreciation areas if the uploaded assets belong to a different chart of depreciation than the one used in the previous upload. This limitation will not be relevant, if you create separate migration projects by company code.
8.2 Financials - General Topics 8.2.1 Document Types for Data Migration The document type for all Open items and Open balance migration objects is UE Data Transfer.
8.2.2 Document Date The document date must be the same date as in the original data record.
