Through the SIM menu or at the handset start-up, the user can switch from one line to another another without switch switching ing off the handset handset.. When applying the switch, the end user can decide to forward the calls from the inactive line to the active one.

Dual IMSI Use Case At work, Bob receives a new handset for professional use. He wants to enjoy his handset for private use too. He validated with his company that he would use the Dual IMSI application, and received a dedicated SIM with the appropriate application and parameters. He starts his phone and enters his PIN code. (1) The Dual IMSI application allows him to select a default line. Bob selects the professional line (2), and accepts the proposal to forward calls from private line to professional line. (3) At any time, Bob can change the active line or edit the subscriptions names. (4)
