Introduction The 7302 ISAM products come with pre-installed software. Pre-Installed software can be upgraded to appropriate release. If there is no software installed on compact flash (CF) card of NT card, related image file can be written into the CF.
Warning: Responsibility to purchase the necessary hex editor software which will be used during the operation belongs to participant. «Winhex» software will not be supplied to participants, it is not a freeware product!
Alcatel-Lucent is not responsible of the damages which might occur during the misuse of the program.
Copying the Related Image to Compact Flash Card Copy the “image_2048000000” to CF card with hex editor (e.g. Win Hex).
Open Win Hex editor and then click on “Clone Disk” button.
Write the related image into the CF a. b. c. d.
Click on the up-right button and insert the “ image_2048000000” as a source file. Click on the down-left button, indicate the destination disk Set the “Start Sector” value to zero Click on “OK” button.
Write the related image into the CF There are two warning message before starting copying process, click on “OK” button for both warning messages.
After copying process, please see the “ ... sector(s) copied” pop-up, then click on “OK”.
2. Connecting to 7302 ISAM Console
7302 ISAM Craft Cable Connection A Craft interface port is provided on the front plate of NT card (NANT-A or NANT-E) that allows the operator to connect the NT card via craft cable directly.
7302 ISAM Craft Cable Connection Connect the RJ45 end of the craft cable to 7302 ISAM CRAFT Port on the NT card.
Connect DB-9 end of the craft cable to your PC with or without RS232 to USB converter.
Connecting to 7302 ISAM via HyperTerminal Start the HyperTerminal application on your PC and enter a connection name (e.g., “7302_ISAM”) and an icon. Then click the “OK” button.
Connecting to 7302 ISAM via HyperTerminal Select the proper COM port. You can learn your USB-Serial Com Port value from Device Manager.
Connecting to 7302 ISAM via HyperTerminal Specify the port settings and click the “OK” button
First Time Login via Craft Terminal When your connection is ready via console cable between your computer and 7302 ISAM, you should press C value. Login the 7302 ISAM with user name “isadmin” and password i$@mad- “. “
After logged in, the password should be changed for the first time; modify it to “ ANS#150”. Would you like a CLI(C) or a TL1 login(T) or TL1 normal session(N) ? [N]: login: password: Welcome to ISAM Your password is expired ! enter new password: re-enter password: The new password is accepted. leg:isadmin>#

NANT-A System Management IP & Default Route Configuration To allow remote connectivity you should configure management IP and default route address of NANT-A. leg:isadmin># leg:isadmin>configure>system>management# leg:isadmin>configure>system>management>default-route$
leg:isadmin># configure system #--------------------------------------------------echo "system" #--------------------------------------------------management host-ip-address manual: default-route exit exit #---------------------------------------------------
NANT-A Management VLAN and Network Port Configuration Default management VLAN-id is 4093. Assume that you are going to configure “network port 0”. leg:isadmin># leg:isadmin>configure>interface>shub>port>0# leg:isadmin>configure>interface>shub>port>0# leg:isadmin>#

NANT-D / NANT-E System Management IP & Default Route Configuration The following procedure describes how to configure IP & default route: 1. Configure selected port
2. Create/configure IES & add vp (virtual port)
For untagged port :
sap nt-a:sfp:1:0 create (NANT-D) sap nt-a:xfp:1:0 create (NANT-E)
For tagged (management VLAN Id 4093) port :
sap nt-a:sfp:1:4093 create (NANT-D) sap nt-a:xfp:1:4093 create (NANT-E)
3. Create VPLS & add relevant network port(s) 4. Add static route for connectivity (if applicable)

NANT-D / NANT-E SNMP Configuration The SNMP configuration needs to be done for managing ISAM remotely on 5520 AMS. Host-address in the configuration for both cases should be the IP address of AMS server for security reasons. To configure SNMP: 1. Make sure ping is available. Ping
should be successful from ISAM node to 5520 AMS.
2. Login to CLI interface of ISAM node via “Telnet” or “SSH” protocols. 3. Configure the ISAM node SNMP parameter. Configure
SNMP string “public” for “nt” context Configure SNMP string “NETMAN” for “ihub” context
NANT-D / NANT-E SNMP Configuration To make 7302 ISAM manageable from 5520 AMS, SNMP community strings should be configured. leg:isadmin># leg:isadmin>configure>system>security>snmp>community>public>hostaddress>0.0.0.0/0# exit all leg:isadmin>#
High Speed Board Configuration To configure an installed ISAM board follow the procedure below: Connect to ISAM to using Console Connection or Remote Connection (SSH/Telnet) Configure Maximum link speed per GPON LT and the planned-type per cards in the system. For
