See attached listing for Non-Electronic Independent Temperature Control (ITC) Models using Baffle P/N 2209751, Serial Numbers SM0999999 and before. NOTE: ITC model production was discontinued after SM0999999. CONDITION:
Interior moisture causes frost/ice buildup in the air chute and baffle area. Ice binds the gate in the closed position and breaks the linkage as the baffle tries to open. CORRECTION:
Replacement baffle assemblies with a stronger gate linkage are now available. See Fig. 1. Baffle Gate Original Improved

August 25, 2003 Page 2 of 4 To minimize or eliminate interior moisture and frost buildup do the following: 1. Remove frost/ice buildup in the air chute or baffle area. 2. Replace the baffle. Make sure it is properly installed with no air leakage around its seal. Use Permagum or silicone (Silastic) to insure a tight seal. See Fig. 2. 3. Check door gasket for good seal. Correct if necessary. 4. Check ice chute door for complete closure. Repair as needed. 5. Seal the water reservoir tubing grommet opening with Permagum or silicone. See Fig. 3. 6. Check and seal mullion to deck rail gap with silicon. Also seal deck rail to inner liner, if needed. See Fig. 4. Permagum or silicone

7. Check top mullion to cabinet flange for offset gap. Repair gap with Spacer Kit #8201543 and seal according to kit instructions. See Fig. 5. 8. Check corner covers for air leaks and seal underneath side, if necessary. See Fig. 6.

Verify by model number, and then order P/N 2209751 Baffle from Division 46, Source 106 following the normal ordering procedures. If needed, order Spacer Kit P/N 8201543.. NOTE: There are two very similar baffle assemblies. Figure 8 can can be used to correctly identify part number 2209751, the baffle used on non-electronic temperature control models.
