PREFACE: English GaDIS Module is organized to give English teachers a method to teach English to the pupils. There are 4 activities that can be done in the classroom to tackle the problems arise in Paper 1 and Paper 2 in the UPSR examination.
The activities are: 1

to the pupils.

ARTICLES Definition: The Indefinite Articles: A, An A and An are used when we refer to a thing for the first time or when we do not mean a specific thing. Examples: ‘A book’ refers to any book. ‘An orange’ refers to any orange. 1. A is used with words beginning with ‘consonant sounds’ such as a street, a diary, a calculator, a bottle, a beautiful angle, a sweet orange and a loyal employee.
2. A is used with words like uniform, European,university,union because they begin with the consonant sound ‘Y’
3. An is used with words beginning with’vowel sounds’ such as an answer, an egg, an island, an owl, an umbrella, an angry bird, an English man.

Possessive Nouns

A noun that shows possession is called a possessive noun.
The cover of the pan. The noun ‘ pan ’ is non living. The words ‘ of the ’ are used with such nouns to show possession.

Possessive nouns can be formed in the following ways : a. Adding an apostrophe s ( ‘s ) to singular and plural nouns which do not end in s.

1. Suggested answer – Simple story. Fahim and his friends played football in the field near their village. While they were playing one of his friends kicked the ball hard and it fell into the bushes. They ran to get the ball. They looked everywhere but could not find it. They were shocked when they saw the ball landed on the python. The python was very big. Fahim ran back quickly to the village. He told a few villagers about the incident. One of the villagers called the firemen to help them to catch the python. The firemen came and caught the python easily with their equipments because its stomach was full. The villagers praised and thanked the boys for their quick action. 2. Suggested answer - intermediate story. Fahim, Syafiq and Eddy are bosom friends. Last Sunday, they went to practise for the Interschool football match in the village field.
