THE
AEROPONIC
SYSTEM
The Aeroponic system is probably the most technologically advanced of all of the hydroponic systems. Up to a certain point, it is similar to the N.F.T., with nutrients supplied through Humid Air, or as a fine mist. In this this syst system, em, the the root roots s rema remain in susp suspen ended ded and and imme immerse rsed d in a ult ulture ure ham hamber ber,, or !rowing hamber, where they are sprayed with a mist of nutrient solution at short intervals, usually every few minutes. As in all hydroponic systems, s ystems, the solution is ta"en from its supply tan" by a pump controlled by an e#trem e#tremely ely precise precise timer timer calibr calibrate ated d for very short irrigat irrigating ing cycles, cycles, rengin renging g from from seconds to minutes. $i"e the N.F.T system, the aeroponic system is highly susceptible to energy and pump failures. If energy or pump interruptions occur, the plants% roots will dry e#tremely &uic"ly resulting in total loss. The spraying of the nutrient solution can be done by medium or high pressure no''les, by high high pres pressu sure re fogg fogger ers, s, by ultr ultra( a(so soni nic c fogg fogger ers s or even even by cent centri rifu fuga gall fogg fogger ers. s. Another ma)or problem in aeroponic systems is the bloc"ing of the orifices in the no''les and high pressure foggers. Its prymary application is in the production of shoots and edible sprouts. http*++www.)asons( indoor(guide(to(organic(and(hydroponics(gardening.com+homemade(aeroponics(system(

Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) or "Oxygen ater" Hydrogen peroxide created by humans is inferior to that created by nature, but it costs less. Human-made peroxide comes in a variety of percentages, and you want to get the 35% variety, as this will ensure that there have been no "stabiliers" added, as is generally done to the 3% variety that you can buy in a pharmacy.Hydrogen peroxide will most definitely reduce any possibility of bacterial and fungal contamination. !armers in the # use peroxide for everything from disinfection of the dairy barn and hog pens to increasing crop yields by $ to 3%. &t is also commonly added to the drin'ing water of animals to reduce the need for antibiotics.&n the aeroponic system, H$($ replicates nature)s own antibacterial mechanism and prevents water from growing putrefactive bacteria which can cause the dreaded bacterial wilt, root rot and countless other diseases.35% hydrogen peroxide can and should be used in hydroponic drip and soil systems at the rate of one teaspoon per gallon. *ou would usually add peroxide to your system and let that run through for +$ hour before adding nutrients. his will give the peroxide time to 'ill off bacteria with its extra oxygen molecules and become stabilied before you add the dissolved mineral salts stoc' fertilier/. H$($ will also forcibly cause the out-gassing of chlorine and fluoride from municipal water.& have used 35% hydrogen peroxide diluted to a +% solution on a plant in soil that had an infestation of fungus gnats, root rot and un'nown other problems. he plants thrived while gnats and other organisms did not. 0ut beware, H$($ is powerful and experiments can be dangerous to your whole crop.0e sure not to get any in your eyes. he burning and whitening sensation felt when it touches the s'in can be irritating but is not damaging. 1ear latex. *ou should dilute + part peroxide to ++ parts distilled water to create a 3% solution for less worrisome handling.
!ittle clones in aeroponic t#e system$Applying H2O2 to %or system$*ou can 'ill bacteria that might be living in your nutrient tan' by wiping out the empty container with a 3% peroxide solution. *ou can safely create a +% peroxide solution to feed your plants for a few cycles, but fill less than a 2uarter of your nutrient tan' with this solution, as you will want to dilute it to about .$5% for longer use. &f there are parasitic invaders then you will 'now because there will be a profuse bubbling and frothing, which is the hydrogen peroxide oxidiing putrefactive organisms that are not oxygen compatible.o ma'e a +% solution, add 35 parts water to + part 35% hydrogen peroxide. o achieve an .$5% solution add + parts of water to + part 35% peroxide, or add 3 parts water to one part +% peroxide.!R"A#I$ AER!%!#I$ $rgan!" aeropon!" !s at east part!ay poss!be w!th !tte or no hasse0 'o !ndoor garden!ng "an be "opetey organ!"0 Aeropon!"ay, youre best to !ntrodu"e part!a organ!"s wh!"h pro2!de !"ronutr!ents not a2a!abe !n standard !norgan!", !nera-sat based, hydropon!" !es0
