MARCO TEÓRICO: 2.1. EL SUELO
Suelo para el Ing. Civil Civil son los sedimentos no consolidados consolidados de partículas partículas sólidas, fruto de la alteración de las rocas o suelos transportados por agentes como el agua, hielo, o vientos con atribución de la gravedad como fuerza direccional selectiva y que puede tener materia orgánica, el suelo pues es en sí un cuerpo natural heterogéneo. El suelo es la capa más superficial de la corteza terrestre, que resulta de la descomposición de las rocas por los cambios bruscos de temperatura y por la acción del agua, del viento y de los seres vivos. El proceso mediante el cual los fragmentos de roca se hacen cada vez más pequeños, se disuelven o van a formar nuevos compuestos, se conoce con el nombre de meteorización. Los productos rocosos de la meteorización se mezclan con el aire, agua y restos orgánicos provenientes de plantas y animales para formar suelos. Luego el suelo puede ser considerado como el producto de la interacción entre la litosfera, la atmósfera, la hidrosfera y la biosfera. Este proceso tarda muchos años, razón por la cual los suelos son considerados recursos naturales no renovables. En el suelo se desarrolla gran parte de la vida terrestre, en él crece una gran cantidad de plantas, y viven muchos animales.
2.2.
COMPONENTES DEL SUELO
El suelo está compuesto de granos independientes, dichas partículas de suelo no están unidos tan fuertemente como los metales y pueden moverse unos respecto a otros; así pues el suelo es intrínsecamente un sistema de partículas compuestas por vacíos, aire, gases y partículas sólidas. Se pueden clasificar en inorgánicos, como la arena, la arcilla, el agua y el aire; y orgánicos, como los restos de plantas y animales. Uno de los componentes orgánicos de los suelos es el humus. El humus se encuentra en las capas superiores de los suelos y constituye el producto final de la descomposición de los restos de plantas y animales, junto con algunos minerales; tiene un color de amarillento a negro, y confiere un alto grado de fertilidad a los suelos.
FASE SÓLIDA: Comprende, principalmente, los minerales formados por compuestos relacionado con la litosfera, como sílice o arena, arcilla o greda y cal. También incluye el humus. FASE LÍQUIDA : Comprende el agua de la hidrosfera que se filtra por entre las partículas del suelo. FASE GASEOSA: Tiene una composición similar a la del aire que respiramos, aunque con mayor proporción de dióxido de carbono. Además, presenta un contenido muy alto de vapor de agua. Cuando el

Se entiende la estructura de un suelo la distribución o diferentes proporciones que presentan, los distintos tamaños de las partículas sólidas que lo conforman, y son:
MATERIALES FINOS, (arcillas y limos), de gran abundancia en relación a su volumen, lo que los confiere una serie de propiedades específicas, como: Cohesión. Adherencia. Absorción de agua. Retención de agua.
MATERIALES MEDIOS , formados por tamaños de arena. MATERIALES GRUESOS, entre los que se encuentran fragmentos de la roca madre, aún sin degradar, de tamaño variable.

TECNOLOGIA DE CONCRETO textura, adherencia, color, etc. El perfil del suelo es la ordenación vertical de todos estos horizontes. Clásicamente, se distingue en los suelos completos o evolucionados tres horizontes fundamentales que desde la superficie hacia abajo son:
HORIZONTE O: Capa superficial del horizonte A HORIZONTE A O ZONA DE LAVADO VERTICAL: Es el más superficial y en él enraíza la vegetación herbácea. Su color es generalmente oscuro por la abundancia de materia orgánica descompuesta o humus elaborado, determinando el paso del agua arrastrándola hacia abajo, de fragmentos de tamaño fino y de compuestos solubles. HORIZONTE B O ZONA DE PRECIPITADO: Carece prácticamente de humus, por lo que su color es más claro, en él se depositan los materiales arrastrados desde arriba, principalmente, materiales arcillosos, óxidos e hidróxidos metálicos, etc., situándose en este nivel los encostramientos calcáreos áridos y las corazas lateríticas tropicales. tropicales.
HORIZONTE C O SUBSUELO O ZONA DE TRANSICIÓN : Está constituido por la parte más alta del material rocoso in situ, sobre el que se apoya el suelo, más o menos fragmentado por la alteración mecánica y la química (la alteración química es casi inexistente ya que en las primeras etapas de formación de un suelo no suele existir colonización orgánica), pero en él aún puede reconocerse las características originales del mismo. HORIZONTE D, horizonte R o material rocoso: es el material rocoso subyacente que no ha sufrido ninguna alteración química o física significativa. Algunos distinguen entre D, cuando el suelo es autóctono y el horizonte representa a la roca madre, y R, cuando el suelo es alóctono y la roca representa sólo una base física sin una relación especial con la composición mineral del suelo que tiene encima.

PROPIEDADES QUÍMICAS DEL SUELO Corresponden fundamentalmente a los contenidos de diferentes sustancias importantes como macro nutrientes (N, P, Ca, Mg, K, S) y micro nutrientes (Fe, Mn, Co, B, MO, Cl) para las plantas o por dotar al suelo de diferentes características (Carbono orgánico, carbono cálcico, hierro en diferentes estados) Son aquellas que nos permiten reconocer ciertas cualidades del suelo cuando se provocan cambios químicos o reacciones reacciones que alteran la composición y acción de los mismos. Las principales son: oxidación, carbonatación, hidrólisis, hidratación, disolución, acción de los ácidos orgánicos y reacciones de intercambio iónico.
