Provider INTEC Provider Programmes are INTEC’s vocational certifcates Programme and diplomas that enhance your skills and improve your career
opportunities. Provider Programmes are not linked to the NQF and are not credit-bearing. However, they are in high demand and carry the approval o the INTEC Academic Board.

Programme Type Introduction to Quantity Surveying is a Provider Programme
Entrance Requirements Grade 10 (Std 8) or NCVL2. Should you not meet the minimum requirements, but have 2 years relevant work experience, please contact the nearest INTEC branch to apply or possible access.
Course Duration You should be able to complete this course within 18 months.

Assessment You are required to write an exam per subject. Please note that there are exam sittings in June and October o each year. You will need to submit an examination entry orm, together with the prescribed ee to the College beore the closing date or the next examination. Please note: your exam ee is not included in your tuition ee
Award On successul completion o the course, you will receive your INTEC Introduction to Quantity Surveying Certifcate.
Introduction to Quantity Surveying Short Courses Career

These short courses form part of the Certicate in Introduction to Quantity Surveying.
Programme Type Introduction to Quantity Surveying Short Courses are Orientation Programmes.
Entrance requirements Grade 10 (Std 8) with Mathematics and Technical Drawing or NCVL2. Should you not meet the minimum entrance requirements, but have 2 years’ relevant work experience, please contact the nearest INTEC branch to apply or possible access.
Course Duration You should be able to complete each short course within 12 months.

Construction • Scaolding, Shoring and Excavating • Foundations and re-enorcement • Lintels and Brickwork • Presentation o materials • Roofng materials and methods • Window design and construction • Glass and Partitions • Door rames and linings • Timber stair building • Building drainage below ground • Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning
Practical Taking-Off • Demolitions and site clearance • Foundations • Superstructure, including walls • Measurements o windows, doors and plain openings • Measurement o roos
