DEFINITIONS
In this PROJECT TRANSPORT SPECIFICATION the following words and expressions shall have the meaning hereby assigned to them except where the context otherwise requires: CONTRACTOR means Saipem S.p.A. BIDDER or SUB-CONTRACTOR means the person or persons, firm or company (Ship Owner, International Transportation Company or Third Party Logistics Service Company) that has undertaken to perform the SERVICE(S). SUPPLIER or VENDOR means the manufacturer of GOODS purchased by the CONTRACTOR to be shipped by BIDDER. GOODS means the CONTRACTOR’s materials and/or equipment to be transported by the CONTRACTOR in relation with the PROJECT. SHIPPING FILE means a reference number for a shipment which provides the GOODS and related documentation details.

SCOPE
The scope of this specification is to supply the essential basic information to the BIDDERS (Transport Companies) for the bid preparation covering all the required SERVICES (transport activities). 3.
OBJECT
The object of this specification is the execution of the transportation of all materials and equipment required for the construction of furnaces fabricated in China for Rabigh II Refining and Petrochemical Project Naphtha and Aromatics Package (RP2) from Chinese SUPPLIERs premises up to Chinese loading ports. 4.
TRANSPORTATION PERIOD
The transportation activities/SERVICES are expected to be executed in late April 2014. Anyhow, the nominated Transport Company (SUB-CONTRACTOR) will guarantee the transportation, under the same conditions foreseen by the SERVICE CONTRACT, duly renewed, of all the GOODS, including the small quantities, that will be ready after the SERVICE CONTRACT validity expiration.

LOADING PORTS
The loading ports are indicated in the table at paragraph n. 5. CONTRACTOR purchasing delivery terms are FCA (as per Incoterms 2010)® SUPPLIER’s workshop. SUB-CONTRACTOR must utilize the loading port stated at paragraph n. 5 for the FOB 4. 8.
TRANSPORT MEANS
For road transportation SUB-CONTRACTOR will use, in order to prevent damages to the materials and to the road facilities, vehicles or equipment suitable to guarantee the proper execution of the transportation and the observance of the law and regulation in force in China at the moment of the transport execution. Where transportation involves some not suitable sections, special study shall be made to identify particular precautions to be taken in order to avoid damages to the transported materials/equipment and/or stoppage of the transportation means. Transport execution method, covering both loading/offloading-stowing and transport, will be prepared and submitted to CONTRACTOR, for information, along with the offer (showing the routes, addresses and suitable quays at loading ports). SUB-CONTRACTOR shall advise CONTRACTOR on the cranes lifting capacity and relative availability at selected loading ports. 9.
ACTIVITIES / EXPENSES ON SUB-CONTRACTOR’S ACCOUNT
Scope of work shall include, but not limited to, all below listed activities: a. All SERVICES (transportation activities) between the collection points (FCA 5 Suppliers in China) up to FOB 6 port of export. b. Keeping in touch with all SUPPLIERS in order to organize the delivery of GOODS to Chinese loading ports; c. Transportation of materials from delivery points to Chinese loading ports; d. Checking of shipping documents and that the GOODS are packed in a manner way to protect them from damage during transportation; e. Execution of export customs formalities; f. Execution, coordination and monitoring of loading and stowing operations on board the ships; 4

g. The SUB-CONTRACTOR, (in case through its Sub-Contractors and its Local Forwarding Agent at loading port) shall comply with all local laws regarding the transportation of GOODS, to include permits, escorts, load limits, signs and diversion construction and will operate, but not limited to, for the execution of lifting activities, all export customs clearance formalities and the road transportation from Supplier premises to port of export; h. The SUB-CONTRACTOR will give special attention to the equipment which are considered as abnormal loads (OS/OW items) and are delivered to the port of loading on suitable trailers; i. The SUB-CONTRACTOR will be the sole responsible for the performance, scheduling, directing and controlling of all SERVICES; j. Any necessary lifting, handling, stowing operations and lifting equipment costs related to loading operations at port of loading (i.e. from hooked-into to vessel hold); k. Any additional Equipment, (i.e. slings, shackles, spreader bars) to be utilised for lifting operations; l. Any stand-by of means of transport at Supplier premises and/or at port of loading.

10. DEVIATIONS BIDDER is requested to submit the acceptance statement of Project Transport Specification, duly signed and stamped in BIDDER headed paper (Technical Attachment #03). BIDDER is requested to highlight any deviation to this Project Transport Specification, only filling the attached “Deviation Form” (Technical Attachment #02). Please don’t insert any remarks on other documentation part of the Technical Proposal considering that will not be taken into consideration in case of any dispute may occur during the execution phase. In case BIDDER have no deviations, the “Deviation Form” have to be returned “left blank” to CONTRACTOR, but stamped and signed in any case.
