Planet Forecaster Using planetary cycles to determine stock market turn dates. Much of this work is based on Bradley Cowan's book, Pentagonal !ime Cycle !heory. Planetary charts are in heliocentric orientation unless otherwise noted. !his blog does not gi"e in"estment ad"ice. Please consult your financial ad"iser before making in"estment decisions. #unday, $anuary %&, %() Planetary *ongitudes and +- Prices eader /ate has been studying $ay's work on the #easonal Chain elati"e method for forecasting +- prices. 0n $ay's work, for each forecasted date, he first finds the heliocentric longitude 1or position with respect to the #un2 of $upiter, #aturn and Uranus, and then a"erages the historic +- prices for each planet when these planets were at that longitude. Finally, the ) planetary prices are a"eraged. $ay's graphs are meant to highlight directional changes in price, not the prices themsel"es. Pro3ections are accurate to 456 % weeks. $ay cautions that this gi"es more weight than we would like to Uranus because of its large mo"es during (7%76(787 and because there is not as much historical data for Uranus due to its slow motion as there is for the other planets. 9s a preliminary e:ercise, /ate has plotted the historic "alues of the planets for their May %(, %() 1Beast Cycle2 longitude. -e are of course interested in this date as a possible ma3or high for %(). 0 thought this would be of general interest to others here studying $ay's work, so with /ate's permission 0 pro"ide the charts below. 0n the first chart, historic 1since (72 +- prices for Uranus, #aturn, $upiter and Ceres at their May %(, %() longitudes are shown in black, red, blue and green, respecti"ely.
-e can see from this chart that the longitudes associated with this date are often indicati"e of a ma3or turn, although sometimes it is a low. 0n the ne:t chart, /ate shows recent corresponding +- pries for ;arth,

$ay$anuary %&, %() at D= PM /o, 0 ha"e not. But 0 ha"e tried Chiron and it didn't make much of a difference to the shape of the pro3ected cur"e. 0 think the planets and planetoids closer than
$upiter are problematic for the model. 0 suspect this has to do with the way 0 calculate the composite cycle as a simple a"erage of the returns. 0deally, we should calculate a weighted a"erage with the planets further out being gi"en larger weights. But, it is not clear to me how to determine what weights to use.
