This 2011 New Year will bring many challenges for mankind and the physical world which we live in. This years Oddu Letters came in with many warnings that all of us need to be prepared for as there will be many changes that take place within the world and the environment in which we live in. A ll of the following are a collective of interpretations of all of the Oddus of the Seven (7) Quimbanda Kingdoms. The official ruling Quimbanda Congo Spirits that will govern the 2011 New Year will be the Congo Spirit, MADRE DE AGUA and the Congo Spirit, SIETE RAYOS. Because these spirits are associated with cleansing and change it will be a very rough year for those of you who are unprepared or refuse to listen to the signs of this years oracle. Cleansing and Change are very painful, but the end result will be positive. As a result of these continued factors, we may see a change of the traditional political parties which historically have been in power in stability. population. These Oddus also speak about the possibility of a massive epidemic that may take many individuals. The epidemic could be natural or even intentionally caused by outside negative forces. These Oddus also speak about the exodus of displaced peoples being caused by natural disasters such as earthquakes, dangerous volcanic activity, flooding, tsunami, contamination of cities and the poisoning of the water supply because of the misuse of chemicals and the abuse of the natural environment by mankind. resulting in the potential flooding and evacuation of cities and states. Place the watermelon on a large plate and pour molasses over it. Light a blue candle next to it for seven days and nights. On the eight day, take the watermelon to the ocean along with 7 pennies and leave it there.

In the early morning hours just before the break of dawn take two black roosters, white flowers and a jar of molasses with you to the ocean. SPIRITUAL RECOMMENDATION The Spirit Tiembla Tierra says that you should take at least 8 spiritual baths with coconut milk and holy water. These baths should be taken for at least 8 consecutive days. Along with the spiritual bath you should also perform the following ritual to strengthen your spirituality and to re move negative vibration and obstacles from your path. SPIRITUAL RECOMMENDATION Purchase 3 fresh coconuts from the super market. Rub each of the coconuts with pemba powder and then place them on a white plate. Take a medium amount of bee’s honey and pour it slowly over the coconuts. Light a white candle
and leave the offering for eight days. On the 9th day, place the coconuts in a brown paper bag along with 21 pennies and leave the offering in the trash at the back of a well known and successful bank. SPIRITUAL RECOMMENDATION Another method of spiritual cleansing is to buy two white doves and cleanse yourself with them by rubbing them over your entire body from head to toe. After the spiritual cleansing take the doves to a high mountain top or hill and release them so that they can fly to the heavens. For the ritual you need to purchase 6 red apples at the supermarket. Place the apples on a white plate. Pour bee’s honey over the apples and sprinkle cinnamon powder on them. the seventh day place the apples in a brown paper bag along with 6 pennies and take it to a park and place it at the foot of a large Ceiba Tree or Palm Tree. SPIRITUAL RECOMMENDATION The individual should also have an “Inche Ozain” prepared in a hanging gourd or a bull's horn covered in red and white
beads of the Spirit Siete Rayos. This Ozain must hang in their home or business. Another method to cleans the individual would be to cleanse the individual with a red rooster at the foot of a palm tree. SPIRITUAL RECOMMENDATION The Spirit Mama Sholan says that although you have been lucky in money, your luck in issues of romance, marriage and love have always been unlucky. If you are married, you need to strengthen the relationship by preparing a spiritual offering to the Spirit Mama Sholan. The offering consists of making and preparing an oil lamp. The oil lamp should be prepared with bee’s honey, almond oil, precipitado rojo powder (iron oxidate powder), yellow and red rose petals.
The oil lamp is prepared inside a clay bowl or traditional oil lamp burner. Mix the almond oil, the powder and five drops of honey together. Pour this mixture into the bowl and place a floating candle wick on top of the oil mixture and light it up for 5 consecutive days and nights. SPIRITUAL RECOMMENDATION Make a spiritual bath using rose petals and five different types of spiritual perfumes. Take this spiritual bath for 5 consecutive days while you are burning the oil lamp. SPIRITUAL RECOMMENDATION If you have the Congo Spirit Nganga of Mama Sholan, offer her two brown hens and two white doves. Along with the spiritual cleansing you can also do another ritual for Mama Sholan. Purchase five oranges from the supermarket. Place the oranges on a white plate. Pour honey over the oranges and sprinkle cinnamon powder over them. Light a yellow candle for five consecutive days and nights. On the sixth day, place the oranges in a brown paper bag along with 5 pennies. Take the bag with the oranges to a place where there is running water (stream or river) and leave by a tree. If the individual consultant is currently having legal problems or is in a court battle, receiving the Rayado Initiation will save their life and will give them a victory over their enemies. SPIRITUAL RECOMMENDATION The spirits say that you should take at least 6 spi ritual baths made with a variety of herbs that are used to repel negative vibrations and keep evil away. Place the apples on a white plate. Pour bee’s honey over the apples. Sprinkle some cinnamon powder over the honey. Light a

During the 9 day spiritual bath ritual, keep a seven colored glass candle or a purple candle lighted. Along with the spiritual bath cleansing there is also a ritual which can be per-formed to the Spirit Centelle Ndoki. You need to purchase a large eggplant from the super marker. Cut the egg plant into 9 pieces and place them on a white plate. Pour molasses and brown sugar over the pieces of egg plant. Light a brown candle next to the food offering and leave the offering for 9 days and nights. On the 10th day take the offering along with 9 pennies to a cemetery and leave it by the front gate to the cemetery. You can also have a spiritual cleansing done with two black chickens in front of the Congo Spirit Ngangas of one of the following Congo Spirit Ngangas, Zarabanda, Centelle Ndoki or Siete Rayos.

spiritual journey into the mystical supernatural world of the Congo Spirits begins. A Munanzo is a place of religious learning and also a place where magic begins and ends. If you are seeking initiation into the Quimbanda Congo religious Mysteries there are two things that you should know right now and be prepared for before beginning your spiritual journey. The first is that it requires a lot of time and personal dedication. When you become initiated it will require much of your time to be spent at your Congo Munanzo working with your Godfather if you want to learn. That means a lot of time away from your home, time away from your personal relationships and time away from having fun. To complete the various steps and levels of Congo initiations could take many years. The second thing is that it will require money for your religious education. Remember, this religious tradition can really only be learned and experienced by direct initiation and participation. Each level of initiation requires that the individual give a donation fee (Derecho) to the Congo Temple. The Derecho is used to maintain the Congo Temple and to purchase the required ritual offerings which many times are expensive for the spirits. There are many other minor initiations associated with a Quimbanda Congo Munanzo / Terriero, but the following are the most important for an individual to do. The Congo experience is a very beautiful thing and the spirits will reward you. BAPTISM INTO THE QUIMBANDA SPIRIT MYSTERIES Although not common in the Caribbean tradition of Congo religious tradition, an individual desiring to become a member of a traditional Brazilian Orthodox Congo Quimbanda religious temple will be able to r eceive the divine protection of the powerful Quimbanda Spirits by receiving Baptism into the spiritual Quimbanda Mysteries. When an individual is baptized into the Quimbanda Spiritual Mysteries they are cleansed of all negativity and can then begin to continue with their spiritual journey into the Mysteries of the Spirits. It is through Baptism that the Quimbanda Congo spirits will begin to know the individual and their desired intent to become fully initiated at a traditional Brazilian Orthodox Quimbanda temple. When an individual is baptized into the Quimbanda Spiritual Mysteries they are making a “pledge” and not a “pact” with the powerful deities. The entire ritual Quimbanda Baptism process takes three days. The individual who is baptized receives the powerful Quimbanda Spirit beads which are the “banners of our Quimbanda faith” along with the spiritual mysteries of the “Quimbanda Holy Trinity”. The Quimbanda Trinity consists of three (3) spir-
its, EXU MAIORAL, EXU REI AND MARIA PADILLA REINA. These three Quimbanda spirit mysteries (NKISIS) are presented to the new initiate when they are baptized. These three Quimbanda spiritual mysteries will begin to assist the new initiate with overcoming all obstacles in their lives by opening up the initiates spiritual path in a positive direction. After the Quimbanda Baptism ceremony the new initiate will then take their new spirits home with them and also be instructed on how to spiritually care for them and how to petition them with prayer and spiritual offerings so that they will be able to assist the new initiate. Receiving the mysteries of the Quimbanda Trinity in Baptism is the spiritual foundation of the Quimbanda religious tradition and represents spiritual balance, spiritual stability and spiritual growth. AJE SPIRITS QUIMBANDA INITIATION CEREMONY The "Quimbanda Aje Spirits Initiation Ceremony" links our world to the invisible world of the Aje Spirits (Witches). The Aje Spirits control all aspects of human life such as wealth, health, prosperity, and our "spiritual birth destiny". QUIMBANDA INITIATION CEREMONY OF OLOKUN DE CONGO The “Quimbanda Initiation Ceremony of the Congo Spirit, Olokun De Congo (The Congo Spirit Calunga)” links the new
initiate to the world of the ancestors and the spirits of the dead. This initiation brings the new initiate great stability over finances and all harmonious energies associated with their residence, place of business and of their personal lives. The Congo Mysteries of the Spirit Olokun represent the Mysteries of the “Great Abyss” and the Mysteries of the
deep oceans and all the riches found there. The Congo Spirit Olokun rules over the Kingdom of the Dead (Eggun). The Congo Spirit Olokun gives the new initiate great stability, both materially and spiritually. It takes 9 days to receive the Quimbanda Mysteries of the Congo Spirit Olokun including a ceremony which takes place at the ocean and at the cemetery.
QUIMBANDA RAYADO INITIATION CEREMONY The “Quimbanda Rayado Initiation Ceremony” links the new initiate to the World of the Congo Spirits so that they
(the Congo Spirits) will be better able to assist one (the new initiate) with advancing in a positive direction in life. There are two parts of the Quimbanda Rayado Initiation Ceremony. The first "Rayado Initiation Ceremony" establishes a spiritual relationship between the Congo Spirits and the new initiate. When the initiate receives their first Quimbanda Rayado Initiation Ceremony, they will also receive the spiritual Mysteries of the Congo Spirit Lucero Vira Mundo. The “Congo Spirit Lucero Initiation Ceremony” is the first ritual in which the new initiate will receive the Mysteries of the actual “Congo Nkisi Spirits / Quimbanda Kingdom of the Congos” to work with. The Congo Spirit Lucero is
the Divine Gate Keeper and without his assistance and permission all forms of spiritual communication between the world of the living would be closed to the world of the Congo Spirits. The second “Quimbanda Rayado Initiation Ceremony," which is traditionally done 21 days after the first Rayado Initia-

traditional Quimbanda Congo Munanzo / Terreiro. When an individual undergoes this initiation, they receive the actual spirit Mysteries of a particular Congo Spirit Deity to work with. The Mysteries of the Congo Spirits are usually received inside of an iron caldron or ceramic pot that contains human bones along with many other magical ingredients and items to work with the Congo Spirit effectively in the supernatural magical realm. The cost will depend upon on which Congo Spirit Mysteries that the individual will be receiving. MBELE QUIMBANDA INITIATION CEREMONY The “Mbele Quimbanda Initiation Ceremony” is a ritual which gives the new initiate the religious right to be able to
make the sacrifice of four legged animals to the Congo Spirits. This initiation ceremony also gives the initiate the right to be able to perform the Rayado initiation on other individuals desiring to enter into the Congo Mysteries. the initiate the spiritual right to be able to work and invoke the powerful magical Mysteries of the Quimbanda Congo Spirit Ozain. After the individual undergoes this very important initiation ceremony where they will receive the actual "Spirit Mysteries" of the Congo Spirit Ozain they are then referred to and called by the prestigious religious title of “Ozainista”. THE BAKUNFULA INITIATION CEREMONY The initiation ceremony known as "La Bakunfula" can only be received by men. This initiation ceremony can only be received by one chosen individual of the Congo Munanzo who is the "right hand" of the presiding Tata of the Quimbanda Congo Munanzo. The official title of the "Bakunfula" is the "Sergeant At Arms". The Bakunfula is responsible for maintaining internal order at the Congo Munanzo. The Bakunfula along with the Tata is responsible for making sure that all of the sacred rituals and ceremonies of a Congo Munanzo are done and followed correctly by all of its members. The Bakunfula is also the individual who administers punishments for religious laws (Regla De Congo Quimbanda) violated by its members. Although this ceremony can be received by various male members, only one can officially be known as the "Bakunfula" of a particular Quimbanda Congo Temple. TATA MALONGO QUIMBANDA INITIATION CEREMONY The last and final initiation that an individual can receive in a traditional Quimbanda Congo Munanzo is the “Tata Malongo Quimbanda Initiation Ceremony”. This initiation can only be received by men. When an individual receives this initiation and receives the spiritual Mysteries of Tata Malongo they become “one” with the spiritual world and
can command the powerful Quimbanda Congo Spirits as well as all of the spirits found in nature for whatever they want and however they want. This ceremony gives the individual great supernatural knowledge and occult powers to be able to even achieve invisibility and even shape shifting abilities. An individual must complete this very important initiation ceremony if they want to venture outside of their Congo Munanzo to one day start their own Quimbanda Congo Munanzo / Terriero.
