Part 2 – NSE Levels 1–8 Each NSE level has a defined learning objective, and proposes specific coursework to acquiring this knowl edge. The certification exam for each level is either handled online, or is a proctored exam that must be sat at a local Pearson Vue testing center. Some parts of the NSE path are sequential, and pre-requisites must be met in order to enrol in a course. NSE 6 How to Become a Partner Specialist The NSE 6 Partner Specialist Program offers Platinum, Gold and Silver Level Resellers the opportunity to become ‘Specialists’ in the Fortinet Advanced Technologies FortiMail, FortiWeb and FortiWireless. Other technology specializations will be available in the future. Specialists gain access to significant product discounts in the chosen technology and benefit from excellent exposure on the Fortinet.com ‘Find a Partner’ section.

Step 1 – Train & Certify on an NSE 6 Advanced Technology

The main main requirement requirement for a Platinum, Gold, or Silver Reseller to become become a Specialist in a technology is to have at at least one on-site engineer train on the solution, and then successfully pass the accreditation exam.

Step 2 – NSE 6 Term Sheet

Once an engineer has successfully trained and passed the accreditation exam, please liaise with your local Fortinet Channel Manager to complete the NSE 6 Partner Specialist Term Sheet. This form will communicate the quarterly targets you intend to achieve for this product family, and planned actions to promote this solution to customers. This form must be approved by Fortinet, and then Specialist status is granted.

What is the equivalence between the old FCNSA/FCNSP and the NSE Program? FCNSA and FCNSP were 2 separate exams under the previous Fortinet Certification Program. Under the new NSE Program, those exams have been updated and combined into a single exam NSE 4 – Fortinet Network Security Professional.

Will it be automatic? Should I do anything to get my NSE Certification? It you currently hold FCNSP, you will not need to do anything until you are required to recertify; you are automatically converted to NSE 4 – Fortinet Network Security Professional. If you have completed FCNSA and wish to complete the requirements for NSE 4 – Fortinet Network Security Professional, you must complete the entire, newly combined exam through Pearson Vue.

Find the ‘NSE 1 Security Associate’, ‘NSE 2 Security Associate’, ‘NSE 3 Security Associate’, ‘NSE 4 Security Professional’, ‘NSE 5 Security Analyst’, ‘NSE 6 Security Specialist’, ‘NSE 7 Security Troubleshooter’, or ‘NSE 8 Security Expert’ listed on your transcript. Are the proctored exams exams free to partners? Proctored exams are not free to partners.

What is the process for end customers to follow the training? Customers do not participate participate in NSE 2 – 3, but may use NSE 1 if they wish. NSE 4 is the entry point for enduser/customers. For recognition at any level, all other requirements apply.

How does Support PIN Code qualification work with the NSE program?
