commitment to the YES
for
Peace-
Bayanihan Para sa Kapayapaan Campaign, the Lubol Elementary School had its manifestation of the said campaign last January 24-26, 2012. Prior to the said activity, Peace Education has already been integrated in everyday lesson as part of the school’s curriculum. The school Peace Education coordinator, during general assemblies, also talks about the importance of peace and how it will be inculcated among households since peace order is not stable in the community where the school is located. Pupils from grades four to six,
which
primary
serve
target
as
the
audience,
were each given a copy of
the Yes for Peace 2011 questionnaires to be filled up during their Araling Panlipunan or Values Education period. With the teacher’s guidance, 100 percent of the selected school’s populace answered yes for each question on the 10 item questionnaires. That alone reflected the positive response of the school regarding the peace education campaign. They were also assigned to bring home two copies of the questionnaire and get the response of their parents, out of school siblings,
housemates
and
other
relatives
and
neighbors
which
correspond as the campaign’s secondary target audience. This happened on January 24, 2012, the first day of the school’s campaign conduct. On the second day, January 25, 2012, those pupils were asked to let their parents or other household members to answer the questionnaire. Each pupil involved in the said campaign was given three (3) copies of questionnaires; one to be filled up by them, the other to be answered their parent and the third one was for the other OSY family member.

were
approximately

secondary target audience who participated and all of them answered yes for each question reflected in the questionnaire. On the of

question, with either yes or no,
in chorus. In addition to that, the
Mayor led the recitation of the Panunumpa ng mga Kabayani para sa Kapayapaan. It was the respective homeroom officers, under of course the supervision of the Araling Panlipunan teacher, who collected the response and prepared the seven (7) copies of Homeroom Tabulation Response wherein the results of the campaign from each class were reflected. The Pupil Government Officers, under the guidance of the school head, then prepared the School Summary of responses based on the results tabulated in the homeroom level. The school had collected a total of 135 responses to the said campaign. With the collaborative work of pupils, teachers and parents, the activity was successfully conducted.
