1. Prior to placing any Sub base material, the underlying subgrade shall be shaped and compacted in accordance to the specifications 2. The material shall be placed over the full width of the formation to the required thicness as shown in the drawings in one layer or more, each layer not e!ceeding 2""mm compacted thicness. #. $n case of, space for diversion not available, than 1st place the sub base material in one side of center line. %nd after the complete approval the consultant, start wor other side of center line. &. 'ach layer of Sub base shall be process as necessary to bring its moisture content to a uniform level throughout the material suitable for compaction. (. The Sub base shall be compacted using suitable compaction equipment approved by the 'ngineer to not less than )*+ of the ma!imum dry density. . The top of Sub base shall have the required thicness, shape, super elevation, levels and grades as required in the drawings and shall be within the tolerances as specified in the specifications. -. $n the course of the construction, the level shall be checed using auto level or total station , set out at regular interval along both sides of the road width *. (. The aggregate base shall be compacted using suitable compaction equipment approved by the 'ngineer. . The crushed aggregate base shall be from approved sources. -. %fter the compaction the level shall be checed using auto level or total station with consultant both side and centerline of the road with in the tolerances as specified in the specifications.
