FUNDAMENTO TEORICO:
1. Energía Eléctrica: 1.1.-Definición: Se denomina energía eléctrica a la forma de energía que resulta de la existencia de una diferencia de potencial entre dos puntos, lo que permite establecer una corriente eléctrica entre ambos cuando se les pone en contacto por medio de un conductor eléctrico y obtener trabajo. La energía eléctrica puede transformarse en muchas
otras formas de energía, tales como la energía luminosa o luz, la energía mecánica y la energía térmica. Su uso es una de las bases de la tecnología utilizada por el ser humano en la actualidad. La energía eléctrica se manifiesta como corriente eléctrica, es decir, como el movimiento de cargas eléctricas negativas, o electrones, a través de un cable conductor metálico como consecuencia de la diferencia de potencial que un generador esté aplicando en sus extremos.
Cada vez que se acciona un interruptor, se cierra un circuito eléctrico y se genera el movimiento de electrones a través del cable conductor. Las cargas que se desplazan forman parte de los átomos de que se desea utilizar, mediante las correspondientes transformaciones.

1.2.-Generación de la Energía Eléctrica Desde que Nikola Tesla descubrió la corriente alterna y la forma de producirla en los alternadores, se ha llevado a cabo una inmensa actividad tecnológica para llevar la electricidad a todos los lugares habitados del mundo, por lo que, junto a la construcción de grandes y variadas centrales eléctricas, se han construido sofisticadas redes de transporte y sistemas de distribución. Sin embargo, el aprovechamiento ha sido y sigue siendo muy desigual en todo el planeta. Así, los países industrializados o del Primer mundo son grandes consumidores de energía eléctrica, mientras que los
países del llamado Tercer mundo apenas disfrutan de sus ventajas.
Central Termoeléctrica Una central termoeléctrica es una instalación empleada para la generación de energía eléctrica a partir de la energía liberada en forma de
calor, normalmente mediante la combustión de combustibles fósiles como petróleo, gas natural o carbón. Este calor es empleado por un ciclo termodinámico convencional para mover un alternador y producir energía eléctrica. Este tipo de generación eléctrica es contaminante pues libera dióxido de carbono.
Por otro lado, también existen centrales termoeléctricas que emplean fisión nuclear del uranio para producir electricidad. Este tipo de
instalación recibe el nombre de central nuclear.

Centrales Hidroeléctricas Una central hidroeléctrica es aquella que utiliza energía hidráulica para la generación de energía eléctrica. Son el resultado actual de la evolución de los antiguos molinos que aprovechaban la corriente de los ríos para mover una rueda. En general estas centrales aprovechan la energía potencial que posee la masa de agua de un cauce natural en virtud de un desnivel, también conocido como salto geodésico. El agua en su caída entre dos niveles del cauce se hace pasar por una turbina hidráulica la cual trasmite la energía a un alternador en cual la convierte en energía eléctrica.
Centrales Geo-Termo-Eléctricas La energía geotérmica es aquella energía que puede ser obtenida por el hombre mediante el aprovechamiento del calor del interior de la Tierra. El calor del interior de la Tierra se debe a varios factores, entre los que cabe destacar el gradiente geotérmico, el calor radio-génico, etc. Geotérmico viene del
griego Geo, "Tierra", y thermos, "calor";
literalmente "calor de la Tierra".

A pesar de que la potencia potencia reactiva no produce trabajo útil, puede ser medida por un metro contador reactivo y se expresa en Var-h (esta unidad de medida se utiliza tanto para la energía inductiva como para la capacitiva). De manera general, un equipo consumidor de energía eléctrica (motor eléctrico) demanda los tres tipos de energía o una combinación de dos de ellos, y por lo tanto la potencia total demandada tiene una componente activa (que realiza trabajo útil) y otra componente reactiva (creación del campo magnético), por lo que analíticamente se puede formular la siguiente ecuación:
