Cross Ventilation : 50%, 75 %

Final Review: In response to the preliminary review comments, the project team has submitted a narrative and plan showing the team’s interpretation of air flow possible in the spaces. However, the IGBC Green Homes Reference Guide clearly states the opening should be to "in at least two of the orientations" which is not satisfied by the floor plans of this project. The living spaces should have access to external environment rather than lobbies; It is observed that, project is showing through central lobby; Hence, cannot meet the cross ventilation credit; Also, each living space should have openings in two different orientations. The other opening to enclosed interior lobby is not an exterior environment. Hence this credit is not awarded; Preliminary Review: The subm itted IGBC Green Hom es Template declares that the project will include cross ventilation in the design and the project is achieving cross ventilation in at least 68% of the regularly occupied spaces in all units. The submittal includes floor plans, schedule of openings and calculations to meet the credit requirements. However, from the plans provided, the project is claiming cross ventilation through the living / dining room and kitchen (both with windows facing same orientation) and the entrance door of the unit, which opens into the interior lobby. This is not permitted since the lobby is not considered an outdoor space (it is enclosed with windows and walls). Hence this credit is denied
