Frederick van Ravesteyn Frederick van Ravesteyn has been an International professional Hotelier for more than 20 years. He speaks five European languages and his field of work has covered three continents and more than 10 countries. As an acknowledged and recognized expert he has contributed with his experience to hotel and resort development including the opening and management of 10 prestigious hotels in Europe, Thailand, Burma, Malaysia, Philippines, China, Vietnam and Australia. Frederick was associated with 5 Hilton Hotels in Europe, a 600 room Sheraton Hotel in Brussels, and the 300 room Accor Novotel Bangna in Bangkok. He was Group General Manager of the Waterfront Hotel Group of two 5 stars Hotels in Malaysia and two large International Casino Hotels in the Philippines and for four years he has been Managing Director & Group General Manager of PACIFIC Hotels & Resorts. He has spent more than 10 years with various independent enterprises, culminating in the entire project development and management of International Hotels, Casinos including Boutique Style Resorts. He was also General Manager of the 150 million dollars Crowne Plaza Resort and General Manager of the luxurious Boutique Resort the Nentanya Noosa where he achieved the highest Hotel occupancy and the highest average room in Australia.
Throughout his wide range of positions within four and five star international establishments, he has gained strong and extensive experience in all facets of hotel operations and administration including sales, marketing and public relations. His duties involved replacing management teams wherein the main aim was to restructure and re-engineer hotel & resort operations. Frederick’s knowledge of first class Hotel operations was achieved by attending five years Hotel School in Europe. He was then trained by Hilton International and Sheraton Hotels and has attended several Cornell University Seminars specializing in Sales & Marketing His knowledge of Japanese and Asian culture and customs including his work experiences in Japan is invaluable, allowing the company to promote travel and the services of the hotel to the Japanese, Australian, European and Asian markets.
