Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger, nor of those who went astray), He says: This is for My slave, and My slave shall have what he has asked for.” 1 When we recite Surah Al-Fatihah we ask Allah to guide us to the Straight Way, the way of those upon whom He has bestowed His Grace. Who are these people that Allah has bestowed His Grace upon? Allah tells us more about these people in an ayah in Surah Nisa’ “…those on whom Allah has bestowed His grace, the Prophets, the Siddiqin (the truly faithful), the martyrs, and the righteous….” (AlNisa’ 4:69) In Surah Al-Fatihah we also ask Allah not to be upon the way of those whom Allah is angry with nor of those who went astray.
