Education to Build a Better Future for all THEME: “Education to Build a Better Future for All” We live in a world with many complex problems, both local and global. What kind of education and learning would help us address these challenges and create a sustainable world and a better life for all? Describe your concrete ideas for an ideal education For making world a better place first we need to make sure that all children are educated well. Educated well means being the best of their own abilities, having good attitude, giving help, being polite, not being racist. We have to start fixing this world by fixing the children first, because the children will be the next generation that will take care of this world. If the children have been educated well, they will surely be able to solve complex problem such as being stressed because of certain subject. Every countries need to have school that will be focus of every children’s talents. Like if the child has a strong talent in art 8/10 of her/his subject need to be art-related subject. Such as painting, drawing, editing videos. And the rests are the main subjects like math, science, and history. So every children will not be confused of their own future the other different problem is bullying. There are will be no such thing as bullying if the children are taught well. Like for the bullies, if they are educated to respect other people, even the poor the ugly or the week ones, they sure will help them instead of bully them. And the victims, if they are educated to be strong, not to listen to bad words that people throw, to have a strong mental, they of course will just see the bullies as distractiom that everyone can pass. Importance of education is elaborated by J.Harris thatTHE WHOLE PURPOSE OF EDUCATION IS TO TURN MIRRORSINTO WINDOWS.It means that education is important for every individual in anation. It plays a vital role to change the stare of a country. Nocountry could bring a revolution in it unless its everybody areeducated enough to meet the challenges. Education makes aman realize about himself and his goals and how to achievethat goals. Basically, Education is divided into three groups. TheEducation which teaches the concerns of a society is calledSocial Education. The Education which develops a personalityinside a man himself is called Spiritual Education. The Educationthat concerns with the professionalism is called VocationalEducation. The Technical Education comes under the branch of Vocational Education which deals practically in the field of trade, commerce, agriculture, medicine & Engineering.
Technical education is academic and vocational preparation of students for jobs involving applied scienceand modern technology. It emphasizes the understandingand practical application of basic principles of science andmathematics. The goal of technical education is to preparegraduates for occupations that are classified above theskilled crafts. Technologies are important aspect of life. Weuse technologies for our ease and comforts. Not only in our Education: Cause and Effect Education - cause and effect A good education lays the path for a better quality of life. There have been many studies done, both formal and informal, that show the effects of education or lack thereof in a person's life. As a nation we realize the importance of an education for all children, which is why we have a public school system to offer every child an educational opportunity, regardless of their background, parent's income or any other factors. Research has shown that beginning a child's education early and well is extremely important because "a child that gets off to a good start in reading rarely stumbles. Those children who fall behind tend to stay behind for the rest of their academic lives.”1 Not only does a lack of education hurt us for the rest of our academic lives but our lives in other ways too. Education allows us to discover ourselves, our environment and our world; and to make educated choices about our future. Educated men and women have the skills, information and self-confidence to make better parents, workers and citizens. People that are educated tend to have better paying jobs, be more law abiding, healthier and educate their own children better. Understanding the long term effects education has, not only with an individual but with our nation and generations to come is extremely important in helping us put the proper emphasize needed on education. Aristotle, a famous Greek philosopher, once said, "Those who educate children well are more to be
honored than they who produce them; for these only gave them life, those the art of living well.” I agree with Aristotle that the education one receives defines the difference in how "well” they live. The effects of us as a nation, state, community and individually putting significant emphasize on education would be a family, community and nation that would live better through less violence, as man
The Importance of Education What factors in society ended sectarianism in schools, and made them secular? Probably no single movement so greatly affected colonial America as the Protestant Reformation. Most of the Europeans who came to America were Protestants, but there were many denominations. Lutherans from Germany and Scandinavia settled in the middle colonies along with Puritans and Presbyterians. The Reformation was centered upon efforts to capture the minds of men, therefore great emphasis was placed on the written word. Obviously schools were needed to promote the growth of each denomination. Luther's doctrines made it necessary for boys and girls to learn to read the Scriptures. While the schools that the colonists established in the 17th century in the New England, southern and middle colonies differed from one another, each reflected a concept of schooling that had been left behind in Europe. Most poor children learned through apprenticeship and had no formal schooling at all. Those who did go to elementary school were taught reading, writing, arithmetic, and religion. Learning consisted of memorizing, which was stimulated by whipping. The first "basic textbook", the New England Primer, was America's own contribution to education(Pulliam, Van Patten 86). Used from 1609 until the beginning of the 19th century, its purpose was to teach both religion and reading. The child learning the letter a, for example, also learned
that "In Adam's fall, We sinned all." As in Europe, then, schools in the colonies were strongly influenced by religion. This was particularly true of schools in the New England area, which had been settled by Puritans and other English religious dissenters. The school in colonial New England was not a pleasant place either, physically or psychologically. Great emphasis was placed on the shortness of life and the torments of hell. Like the Protestants of the Reformation, who established vernacular elementary schools in ... Education and Knowledge What is Education? Education is a very broad word because education can be any environment or situation where you learn something or acquire knowledge. Another example is if you buy a book shelf from the store when you get home you have to put it together so you r The Purpose of Education The purpose of education is to spread knowledge to the younger generation. Without education, tradition is lost, as well as the potential of youth. For centuries, the old have taught the young. They have passed the torch of knowledge from one hand to another. Whether it was a master teaching an apprentice, or a teacher teaching a class, the tradition of teaching has been in practice since the beginning of man. Without a mentor for a child to learn from, the child will never find the truth behind the mysteries of life. The child needs to be trained to succeed and even better, reach self-fulfillment. That is why the teacher must be of the highest quality. The student will take after the teacher, not only in knowledge, but also in style and example. If the teacher has a flaw, the child will accept that flaw as his or her own. There is a special bond between the teacher and the student. The teacher must be prepared to take on the student as more than a student, but as a friend. Those, whose intelligence surpasses other's, should be given a challenge in every circumstance available. Harder work should be provided, but not demanded. Although, those with the skills to complete such work, should not let their minds go to waste. They should harness their brain's power to be as successful as possible.

Education is designed to guide them in learning aculture, molding their behavior in the ways of adulthood, and directing them toward their eventual role insociety. In the most primitive cultures, there is often little formal learning, little of what one would ordinarily call school or classes or teachers; instead, frequently, the entire environment and all activitiesa r e v i e w e d a s s c h o o l a n d c l a s s e s , a n d m a n y o r a l l a d u l t s a c t a s t e a c h e r s . As societies grow complex, however, the quantity of knowledge to be passed on from one generation to the next becomesmore than any one person can know; and hence there must evolve more selective and efficient means of cultural transmission. The outcome is formal education--the school and the specialist called the teacher. As society becomes ever more complex and schools become ever more institutionalized, educational experience becomes less directly related to daily life, less a matter of showing andlearning in the context of the workaday world, and more abstracted from practice, more a matter of distilling, telling, and learning things out of context. This concentration of learning in aformal atmosphere allows children to learn far more of their culture than they are able to do bymerely observing and imitating. As society gradually attaches more and more importance to education, it also tries to formulate the overall objectives, content, organization, and strategiesof education. Literature becomes laden with advice on the rearing of the younger generation. Inshort, there develop philosophies and theories of education
